goldfish80: Of course Rohr is not hiding anything. People are just saying this to console and give themselves hope. The man said after the Congo game that we will see a better team in Wembley against England, claiming the Adokie stadium turf was the cause of his team's poor play. We all saw how shockingly dross the team was against England. Today against Czech, he listened to Nigerians and dropped Onazi and Joel Obi, still same old story. People just want to hang on to to something. Dont deny them that our matches against england and czech republic is a true reflection of what our display will be at the world cup, Except this team score goals in Russia, we aren't going anywhere cos we will surely concede |

Andrez123: I think u all are overreacting a lil bit, Nigeria is not the best team in Africa based on Fifa rankings, we used average players to qualify for the World cup from a difficult group so this raised expectations, after beating Argentina 4-2 and beating Poland 1-0, the nigerian optimism went through the roof.
Everyone should understand that, these are friendly matches, sometimes players don't give their all in these kind of matches so that they won't get injuries and miss the world cup, that being said, Nigeria doesn't have a brilliant team so shouldn't be expected to win these matches or any of their matches against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina because we are the worst team in the group. Germany the world champions haven't won any of their last 5 matches and they are not losing any sleep over it, why? Because it's friendly matches, it's meant for experimentation. I think Nigeria will play better in the world cup but still it might not be good enough to get them out of a difficult group, we should lower our expectations about this super eagles team and hope that we get lucky and get some winning shock results in the world cup in Russia. You know how many times Germany has won the world cup? They are even defending champions so why will they loose sleep, for wetin? |

forgiveness: Although, I don't agree with Rohr on certain things but I can see what he is doing to our rivals.
He has confused them so far and they will be surprised when we play dem because now Rohr has made team believe in illusion about the team formation and team selection.
I like that but I don't see what some players will to the team.
Anyway, that's a good one coming from Rohr. The first victim will be Croatia. We lack technical depth, even if we come out the group, what will happen if we meet Denmark or France in the second round |

kennysville: While i tend to love ur analysis, I wanna set the records straight as I have said before. Unfortunately the truth of the matter doesnt sit well with some folks in here. And that is the fact that Moses is untouchable no matter what kind of formation we play. Lemme say I notice we play 2major formations with one of them bein variations of 4-3-3. However as we all have noticed, a particular formation suits VicMo very well but as we all noticed, has not been productive against formidable opposition. 3-5-2 on the other hand thrives on sleek passing and good movement of the ball which quite frankly, our dearest WMD doesnt do well with owing to his ball hogging. A lot of people have noticed this a long time ago and they voiced it out.
Well, I dont have any slack to cut him cos he is in a good fit. Super eagles have been before MOSES and will surely still be after him. There will always be life after Moses! You dont believe me, ask Enyeama!
That said, no one hates or dislikes moses. But what I would really detest is a woulda been , shoulda been , coulda been a goal chances which we get to lose because somebody wants to be super star. I dont doubt his abilities. I am for the well being of the team. We are not the Argentine team that cant do anything without Messi. We are the Super 'freakin' Eagles of Nigeria dammit!!!
Shikena! @the bolded, crux of the matter! the same ball hogging okocaha did in his days and we were trounced 4-1 by Denmark. A word they say is enough for the wise. |

safarigirl: they are talking as if we are trying to remove Victor Moses from the team when some of us are only saying he should start from the bench
Is Moses too big to start from the bench? If Mikel can be benched in some matches, mbok, who is Moses? To them moses must always start our games as if we have not won games without him, anyway the next four matches, starting from today thru our 3 group matches in the world cup will tell how much these players are willing to play for the team. |

comodo: Still remembers when Obi Mikel was called SLOWBIE, the slowest thing after snail. Omeruo was called a disaster waiting to happen. Shehu was hailed as a rock of RB. The heroes have turned to villains & vice versa. Please pipu, we should always stand with our team. Enough of this pull him down thing. no nigerian player has received the sticks especially on nairaland more than mikel, the sticks on onazi is still a very far cry compared to that of mikel. It however behoves on nigerian players to rise to the occasion when necessary as a lot of investment goes into the SE. This present team has so far received the best support ever from both govt and the private sector so there will be no excuse for any player whether he is fasting or or has not eaten at all for a year to go and fumble at the world cup. |

1. Faster start 2. A goal or two for Ighalo, he needs a confidence boosting goal. 3. Better performance from Shehu... 4. A clean sheet true or he sits on the bench, enough of trial and error, I love the guy but it's reality time, the match against England and the match we will play today will be a true reflection of what we will show case at the world cup |
