ivandragon: if IBB & OBJ can speak on national issues, then so can GEJ.
my opinion is that he should make his contributions based on facts & figures, state clear proposed policy directions of PDP gets power back. he should just leave out insults, lies & vile propaganda.
APC took dirty politics in Nigeria to a whole new level, one that caused unwarranted hatred among friends, increased aggression on national & personal issues & generally caused divisions in people who were getting along.
however, its time to put a stop to all that. GEJ should not descend to that level of reckless politics & let's hope APC would be more respectful in its hold on power. even with his PhD, I doubt GEJ can. The man is not that brilliant, his statements most of the time stirs more controversies and worse of all, he is not a thoroughbred politician. He should allow his media aide do more of the talking for him. They can present the facts and figures for him. GEJ should talk less and be more involved in under G moves. Even IBB allows his media aides to do more of the talking for him. Only obj seems to know how to articulate issues that well but still baba still de mis yan. folks like tinubu even allows his media team to do the talking. GEJ need to start behaving properly like a true elder statesman if not he will continue to be mocked. Politics in Nigeria is reckless and it takes tact and wits to maneuver and not look thuggish and weird driven like the likes of fayose and ffk. |

MaziOmenuko: Argh...the witch hunt card is always evergreen. Keep playing it.
When the TSA started, some stakeholders brought up genuine reasons why they should be exempted. Their cases were critically reviewed and those that hold water were excluded. Some banks got waivers to exceed the 48hrs window before remittance. That is the ideal way of doing things. If you have a genuine case why a govt policy will affect operations negatively, you bring up your case. It is reviewed and waivers granted where necessary. You don't flaunt govt policies becuase one of your board of directors is a politician.
But then, you know better than we all. It's either witch-hunting or nothing. my guy pls stop wasting your precious time educating bitter folks. You are too much for their level |

Once the Igbos are denied the presidency, even the monkey called Okoroawusa will become a believer in Biafra.
Once Biafra becomes the rally point for everyone, then the people will forcefully declare their sovereignty.
So think before you respond next time. igbos will only get the presidency when they finally decide to play politics and stop resorting to cheap emotional blackmail. |

Humility017: Nigeria Victor Moses Out For Six Weeks With Hamstring Injury Picked Up In Chelsea Shock Loss
Victor Moses Out For Six Weeks With Hamstring Injury Picked Up In Chelsea Shock Loss Chelsea Nigerian wing-back Victor Moses is feared out for a minimum of six weeks after picking up a hamstring as Chelsea suffer a shock 1-2 loss to Crystal Palace. Moses started the game but limped out of the game after 40 minutes after going down with a suspected hamstring as he charged forward to help Chelsea set up an attack with scores tied at 1-1. The Nigerian who had a hand in the leveller scored by Chelsea by winning the corner kick that lead to the goal watched on from the bench as Wilfred Zaha struk what ended as the winner, one minutes after the restart. Back at the club where he started his career, the Nigerian was given a standing ovation by the home fans as the doctors helped him out of the pitch with what informed sources say is a harmsting injury. Although he is set to undergo scan to determine the severity of the injury initial reports suggest he could be out for a minimum of six weeks, which effectively rules him out of Nigeria’s next World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Algeria in Algier Thank God we have qualified o, it won't have been funny cos moses was one of our major players who helped in qualifying for the world cup. I hope he recovers fast |

Take a calculator, go to calculate the number of votes he of their respective parties scored in the southwest before they merged, you will realize Tinubu is a local champion you have not answered the question, did the number of votes they have been gathering over the years before they merged with tinubu landed them in aso rock? all I see from your points is sheer arrogance, that's all. discusant: But your vote to the southerner can't make any southerner president of Nigeria because of the manner which northerners restructured Nigeria. Unless northerners say they are tired of running Nigeria that time.
Most southerners are very ignorant of the impact of the rigged political structure of 36 states+Abuja on Nigeria's political process, and how it makes north colonize the south of Nigeria. nobody is under the colony of anybody, politics is a game of number and when you get the required number, you win simple. |

Politics › Re: Donald Duke: "You Can’t Zone My Constitutional Right To Contest For President" by Goke7: 9:21am On Oct 10, 2017 |
Connoisseur: I am not spreading any lies. The fact is the north is more populated than the south. The south is more densely populated that is more people compared to a square meter. But when it comes to numbers, the north has it. How many men in the south has up to 15 children.
Also the current schematics of Nigeria favours a northern presidency for life. So until these defects are worked on, zoning is in the best interest of the south.
I am not happy with these facts being a southerner and Igbo for that matter, but I am a realist. So instead of trying to rant, we can only work around it by acknowledging it first, then trying to beat the odds. Chest beating can't do that. Nothing favours a northern presidency for life, politics is a game of number, and even when a southerner is a presidential candidate, some northerners will still vote for him or her, some folks in the north still voted for GEJ despite his loss. It's all about how the candidate can sell himself and get the required numbers. The so called northern thing is not as it is as we are in a democracy, even the entire middle or north central can upset the apple cart for anybody. The north is very wide with different and distinct ethnic groups and may not go the same way all the time. It depends on both the candidate and the party |
Politics › Re: Donald Duke: "You Can’t Zone My Constitutional Right To Contest For President" by Goke7: 9:12am On Oct 10, 2017 |
LordKO: Zoning is illogical, unconstitutional, unprogressive and parochial. I don't support it. Although, I understand the viewpoint of my compatriots - the majority - that clamour for it, this is because they're sentimental, tribalistic, unconscientious, religious and outright small-minded.
Politics on principle and of conviction are all we need to advance democratically, also its the key to our entrance into the eldorado of a country we all long for. Exactly, who zoning epp, I have voted for a northerner and am not satisfied, if I find a southerner more worthy, why must i be restricted by zoning |
Politics › Re: Donald Duke: "You Can’t Zone My Constitutional Right To Contest For President" by Goke7: 9:10am On Oct 10, 2017 |
Connoisseur: Zoning, despite its absence in the constitution is a good way to prevent the majority from remaining in power for ever. As long as Nigerian presidency elections is concerned, zoning favors the south just as the quota system in education favors the north. This is because the north had the population and capacity to remain in power for as long as they want. So politicians especially from the south should avoid the use of rhetorics and not let their selfish interest becloud their reasoning @the bolded, this is a wrong assumption, if the north truly has all the population CPC would have won the Presidential elections in 2011 after cornering majority of the votes in the north. As it is now, it will take majority votes from 4 geopolitical regions out of six to get into aso rock, do the maths. Zoning is what is killing our polity. GEJ did not loose cos of zoning but simply he could not gather enough votes from 4 geopolitical zones. I flow with donald duke, do you think any politician truly respects zoning, they only support zoning when it suits them |
Politics › Re: Kachikwu Met Only Aides, Not Buhari, During Aso Rock Visit On Friday - Sahara R by Goke7: 8:46am On Oct 10, 2017 |
jayson87: common sense, you should have checked history. Can Tinubu float a party that can do well at the national level without Buhari. The answer is capital No. AC AND ACN flopped at the presidential elections woefully. Buhari's ANPP and CPC performed better at the national level. Buhari needed no Tinubu, Tinubu needed Buhari. And you talk as if there was a 50% margin win in the southwest as to what wa seen in the North. Stop living in a deluded reality. Tinubu is a local champion in national politics. He is a warrior in Lagos and south west, but at national scene ... NO No question is did CPC or PMB had a chance to be in aso rock without teaming up with Tinubu? yes CPC has been gathering all the votes in the north but did that land them in aso rock? They both needed each other and that's what the other guy is simply explaining to you. As small as the votes from the SW is, it's enough to upset the apple cart any day. FACT! |

chrisooblog: bro sometimes football is not maths no matter the pedigree of a team. argentina yesterday drew with peru at home. the peruvians are no where near the argentines in talent but hey stuffs happen. france last month thrashed netherlands then surprisingly drew with luxembourg that's football for you.
like you i'm quietly confident we will win tomorrow so no worries. i only posted that for people who are feeling unduly scared a draw tomorrow is still not a bad result in itself so what's the scare all about, did we not loose to congo 3-1 in calabar few years back, even south africa beat us 2-nil there in uyo so what's the fuss about? Reason I said if we can't win tomorrow, then we are not good enough to be in the world cup. Argentina has been in bad form of recent but the eagles have been in good form of late so why are some folks so scared? The way some nigerians are scared eh, they will prefer FIFA to be dashing us 3 points instead of playing for the points. |
