Mark my words. TSTV will dissapoint you big time. Its only the likes of Sky Digital or Virgin media that can come and challenge DSTV.

DStv has sole dominance in Africa when it comes to cable TV. And they also have the capability to introduce the broadband section of their business.

Every DSTV dish can supply internet access to every homes via inbuilt WiFi in the decoder. Guess, DSTV is just waiting to completely mop up the market before introducing the broadband section or when strong competitors come.

What happens to the likes of HiTV, DaarSat etc. What is deceiving most of these Cable company is our huge population. But as we have often seen most of them don't prepare well before coming and they were soon shocked with the reality on ground.

I'm not warning everybody, but only the few that will listen...Do not buy TSTV...You will end up regretting. Mark my word!
who would have thought the likes of nokia and blackberry will be where they are now? my guy no one will reign forever o, change is dynamic

Probably they were operating somewhere before their decision to come to Nigeria if not they might be doomed already before starting because DSTV will sure find a way around destabilizing them ,MTN and NITEL come to mind .South African companies in Nigeria re crooks nd sure know how to play their cards as regards our corrupt legislators ,there was even a time MTN was accused of bribing our federal legislators with abt 25k worth of recharge cards every month ....
who destablised Ntel that I used their unlimited data every month? those of you on mtn are the one loosing. They can't disrupt anything in this era of digital transformation unless the company is not serious. NTEL is doing well and they already giving swift a run for their money

“We also talked about the issue of appointments from the South East, especially with respect to the National Security Council. The President also told us that governors of the South East have also engaged him in the same problems we engaged him in.
We are reassured with the response we got from the President and we look forward to further interaction with him in this manner.”

The bolded is why they came; and the President's response show that he has faith in the governors rather than the Igbo group in National Assembly. These are the people harming Igbo identity and respect. Let us look at that Chairman of the South East caucus in the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe - He signed bail for Nnamdi Kanu. He moved motion to make Saraki Acting President when Mr. Buhari was on medical vacation. Deputy Senate Preside Ekweremadu - He led other Igbo Senators to pay 'solidarity' visit to Kanu after his release.
Abaribe no be smart politician at all not even with all the English wey e dey talk

Sagay212:
They really need that rehabilitation. Abeg ensure you give them plenty of food and let them do medical check up. That food especially is very important because you need to see the way some of them ate the food the NA gave them at the barracks. They finished a big plate of fried rice in less than 40 seconds and didn't even drink water and wanted more...the rehabilitation they need is food and mental check up.

In which part of the world do you see corrupt politicians agitating?
Agitate for what if not for continuation of the status quo. Did you see Shonekan agitate when he was named Interim President.

Nigeria is and remains a joke, and that's how the world sees it. A joke of a president; a joke of an army (more like police), and complete mess of a country - a jungle. A country as you say, where politicians smile to the bank, while citizens swim in squalor is what kind of country exactly? Again a joke; a laughing stock in comity of nations.

But then I can understand the 'monkey no fine, him mama like am' posturing of yours. Keep deceiving yourself.
grin chai see painment, my guy go and have a plan for your personal life and aspire to join the league of highly successful Nigerians who are making waves despite all the negativity. Even the agitations are jokes cos we Nigerians are not sincere to one another. Nobody including you and I should form saints, nobody holy pass.

You overestimate Nigeria; a gloried joke in the comity of nation.

As per the so-called billions the international community are making, why do you think they wont make same or more in a divided and more prosperous countries that will emerge from the ruin of Nigeria? Yoruba and Hausa may be stuck with Nigeria, some of us are not; and are not afraid of having our own country. So speak for yourself.
that is what you and your kits and kin think but to Google, Facebook and co they don't agree with you, naija is the next big thing as far as they are concerned, the Nigerian market is something they don't easily see else where, you how many multinational IT firms are this country making megabucks? check wikipedia, Nigeria is an emerging world power. You think PMB and other leaders are making noise at the UN for nothing? My guy cure your ignorance fast. Nigeria may be in ruins to you and that's the lie some deceptive politicians have sold to you so you can continue to languish in lack while they smile to the banks. You want to have your country indeed? Niger Delta are hungry people.... Give them small bribe from their own money they would fight their parents.

From ijaw, Urhobo to Itsekiri, plus ogoni... they would still end up fighting themselves... with all the wealth in their land They are completely marginalized.

Igbos are marginalized But Their entrepreneurship spirit and business-unity is making them beat the odds.

The truth is that Nigerian is big slave camp of the British.... They own everything.. They discovered the oil... invested in the drilling..

They know we are too weak to fight... and those that can are too foolish and corrupt to challenge them.

US fought a bloody war against the Britain for their independence... While Nigeria we were decieved to believe we are independent yet we are all British slaves. North, South, West, East.
the question is can you fight? if you see soldiers on your street and you are shouting, it means you can't fight simple. no be by mouth or online rants dem they take fight o!

Make no mistake, you can't kill them all. One is bound to succeed sooner or later, and some of these soldiers will have to answer to international community. Politics and interest change very quickly especially in this part of the world. Don't get caught in international crime like genocide and crime against humanity.

Government cannot shield your forever. Ask Charles Taylor, Laurent Gbagbo etc.
oga forget international community, what have they done to the likes of the syrian president, Nigeria is not a kid in the international community to be bullied. There are lots of international interests in Nigeria, you know how many billions of dollars they make here? No secession agitations can succeed in Nigeria cos we all don't have anywhere to go to be it yoruba, hausa, igbo and all other tribes, agitations will come and go. We Nigerians no too like fight, once we see soldiers on the road na so we go begin shout international community upadan, is that how to succeed in agitations? grin forget that thing no naija tribe get liver, na noise we sabi

I was one of those who felt the SE senators were too much in a hurry in the kanu bail matter, all legal considerations must have been well thought out but how come Theodore orji who is the senator representing kanu's constituency did not stand as surety for kanu? that he was out of town shouldn't have been an excuse. The Kanu boy over-rated his support base. He obviously thought that he had more support than those that paraded the streets for him.

If he was a good listener, he would have taken to the counsel of Igbo who admonished him when he went to Atlanta to solicit for weapons. He should have known that Ekweremadu and Abaribe were playing politics. He should have known that FFK and Fayose were only using him to fight their own cause. He should have known that wars are not fought on Nairaland. He should have known that other Igbo who were not in support of his utopian Biafra are not his enemies and never hated him.
grin when fayose should be looking for where Kanu is to be sure of his safety, instead he went ahead to declare his presidential ambition. You see life?

The senators are expected to be learned in the first place. A senator should know better than to mess with treasonable issues which is against the sovereignty he swore to protect. Do you see how it works? It was a trap, and abaribe fell into it blindly. It goes to prove non of these idiot senators know why they are there. Look at the case of Saraki making public pronouncements, describing the federal government's proscription of Ipob as illegal just because he wanted to grow and strengthen his support base of the south east senators! Does that show they have the interest of masses/government at hearthuh! It's all about their pockets plus they can't identify their left from their right.
what do you expect from folks who call themselves lawmakers but know nothing about the law. That is why a senator will still make false claim that he is a university graduate when according to the law even his primary six certificate makes him qualified to be elected as a lawmaker. That's how ignorant they are. grin

LOL.

If foreign embassies fail to listen to FGN, what will Nigeria do? Nigeria has no clout. Can Nigeria sanction UK or US? Yeah. All they have to do is put a travel restriction on Buhari and he will be at the mercy of Indian doctors. Nigeria is trying to assert the power they can never get in a thousand years.

What a comic relief!
//
my guy countries with strong economic ties and interests in Nigeria will comply, remember when GEJ wanted to deal with ibori who ran away to dubai. All GEJ did was to threaten to revoke Emirates airline licence in Nigeria and sharply the UAE quickly released ibori to the UK authorities.

You don't mess around with Politicians when they hold the key to your survival. Even the US and UK knows this as no country is an island to itself anymore.
Politics › Re: FG To Reintroduce Tolls On Federal Highways by Goke7: 9:28am On Sep 26, 2017
989900:
1. Concession all commercially viable federal roads to private companies for rehabilitation and construction of new ones.

2. Let them roads be maintained and funded by toll fees.

3. Make provision for private citizens to be able to buy 'limited shares' in these companies.

4. Let ministry of works perform only oversight duties on these roads to make sure they are always in top shape.

5. Let the ministry concentrate funds on improving our state and local roads:
A. $20b is too little to fund adequate Infrastructure for 200 million people when a country like Qatar with 2.5 m population runs a $55b budget, or South Africa 55m population with $90b budget.

B. The local and state governments fly below the radar 'chopping' monies meant for these projects.

C. We spend more time on these inner roads damaging our cars and wasting time.

D. Them federal highways deathtraps can now become highways with lower avoidable incidents -- of course you get what you pay for.

Personally, I won't want to pay for a Range Rover only to be given a Toyota Yaris.

as long as you have the kind of politicians you have in abuja, this will never happen. To even allow Lagos state repair the airport road, it almost God himself coming down. The National stadium in surulere is lying in ruins as we speak

I don't know why simple things like this are soooo difficult for our politicians. For God's sake under this same Fashola, a private company built a world class road and put toll gates on it to recoup their funds. Why is it so difficult to do same at Federal level.
Politicians make a lot of mega bucks from road construction, there are budgets for all Federal roads every year but they will never be done as the funds will be embezzled, now if you concession all the federal roads to private firms where will the politicians see money to steal to recoup from their expenses during their election campaign? This is the issue, reason why there will always be stiff resistance to refineries and airports privatization. We are really in a big mess bruv

I have always said it's the SE Politicians that are dealing with IPOB. Those calling for PMB's head are fighting the wrong battle
