novicali: Well the Bible is the Holy book of the Christians, so if such quotations and many could be found in the Bible it means that they (Christians) can be inspired by these quotations to go into inventions and manufacturing of things
You don't have to be told that you need to be constructive. Will you like to give us a proof of this you've said?

Name the drugs that the " muslim" physician manufactured, or better still, name how many hospital in the Arab world that is recognized ( Israel exclusive, cause they aren't muslims or better still Terrorist)
I don't need to mind your disease. You have just displayed it. We are talking about inventions, not the number of hospitals. You don't deserve to be here where intellectuals are discussing. NL should better creat a children section for kids grin

novicali: Was that a surprise to you? You never knew such is in the Bible... That the Bible is the beginning of WISDOM and where Creation .... started. SO when next you ask question be careful.... Again in my culture and tradition we dont speak to people the way your language sound... Please dont burst my skull ok.
I'm sorry about the skull stuff, it's just a way of saying what you know I mean.

But in this text I have above, you've not given me any explanation of what you mean and how it relates with the topic of christian inventions. I don't need to know what is in the bible, though I'm conversant with some, so how should I be suprised you have such? Nobody cares until you give an explanation.
IslamRe: Rights And Duties Of Husband And Wife In Islam by golpen(m): 6:10pm On Nov 23, 2013
Every of this post is just on point, may almighty ALLAH reward the poster abundantly.

A point that got me attention is the house keeping aspect. Many ladies are of the opinion that it is not part of the duties of the wife to cook for her husband, claiming it is not found anywhere in the quran or hadith that a woman should cook. But aside the logical reasoning, it is not found in the sunnah or practice of the companions to cook because the wife wouldn't.

May ALLAH help the nation of islam. Amin.

cloudstar: Bros, this na simple matter. If indeed Adam was 90 feet tall, please prove it; if you CAN'T; All you have to do is say so. I understand most muslims refuse to be objective when it comes to matter of their faith. Your cheap excuse of dis-engaging the subject is not new; if you had an answer, you would have provided one.

If Adam was 90 feet, how tall was Eve and their kids? Is there any fossil of any known human that is 90 feet tall?
Funny enough you had to agree with your biology teacher back then in school that your ancestors were apes just because you so much needed to pass biology, but you haven't seen any fossil record yourself and you have not been able to prove it.

See, muslims are always objective on issues, but it is you who are beclouded with hate that fail to see the objectivity. If the prophet (saw) said Adam (as) was 90 feet tall, then you science must have proven him right ¡y coming up with what they call 'mutation'. But in you hate filled skull, you believe that apes could turn human due to changes, but men couldn't have measured shorter due to the same influence. Think!

novicali: Bezalel and Oholiab

31 Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: 7 the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent— 8 the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense, 9 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand— 10 and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests, 11 and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you.”
Pls let's have your stance before I burst your skull.

mckemsoc: Muslims and their way of thinking... Always doing everything possible (both true & false) to package, repackage and sell their Religion of peace to us. Why not say (if its true) they were Arabian/persian inventions? Must it be tagged Muslim? After all they were 1st Arabian b4 becoming Muslim and their invention has nothing to do with their Religious affiliation.

Should we then call all Western, Indian & Chinese inventions' Christians', Hindus' and Budhist's inventions respectively just because they are the majority? SMH for you Muslims, alwz trying so hard...
I just hope I won't have a problem in trying to educate you, that is if you are willing to learn. Now listen and read clearly;

They are islamic inventions and not arab inventions, because the inspiration of those inventions came from the practice of islam. An example is the 'algebra' which has been a major centre here. It was inspired when the inventor read through the passage of the qur'an which speaks of sharing of inheritance.
Ibn sina's 'cannon of medicine' which was a book used in the medical world for centuries was inspired by the prophetic medicine, authored by Muhammad (saw).

If you read books of science that have constructively made references to the qur'an, you'll see that these science analysis have been proven in the qur'an. No invention has been biblically recorded, so we can never have christianity inventions.

A word is enough for the wise. Just go make your research and findings before coming here...

Don't put up your frustration against me again okay, you can help your self by reading the earlier posts and note what I've said earlier on the issue.

Dewze: why do u guys so wickedly and so ignorantly twist a persons wordsjust to score cheap points. The OP never said that there is anything wrong in studying the Quran in Arabic. He has mentioned it over and over again that doing so is an added advantage but that it shoud not be used as a dogmatic Islamic doctrine. He said it is not a dogged requirement for righteousness and here u are saying another thing. Man! u guys r so wicked and misleading.
Why are you so disgusting and unreasonable?...if all your posts are about scoring points, then you should look for an exam or quiz hall, I guess. Do you have reading comprehension deficiency syndrome?
I made a post earlier about reciting and memorising Qur'an in arabic, he didn't react to my post and this is what he said in one of his later posts

There are lot of arabs and even non arabs, some of who understand arabic better than the mallams here. But even with that the clerics and scholars still discourage them from trying to read the Qur'an using their GOD given intellects. You have learnt arabic, great! But how come you still can't read Qur'an for the meaning. Most of them are talked into further learning the countless volumes of hadith books as another prerequisite before they can think of reading Qur'an for the meaning. And with the countless volumes of hadiths and then the commentaries, this is hard work. I doubt if even Imam Bukhari could have touched Imam muslim or Abudawood 's compilation and vice versa. Are you the one going to learn through all of them?
And this post above is what I'm responding to so you better get your head together and look before leaping okay kid!

IslamWhat Would You Do?, How Would You Act? by golpen(op): 6:43am On Nov 11, 2013
f the Prophet Muhammad visited you,
Just for a day or two;
If he came unexpectedly
I wonder what you'd do.

Oh! I know you'd give your nicest room
To such an honored guest;
And all the food you'd serve to him
Would be the very best.

And you would keep assuring him,
You're glad to have him there;
Your hospitality would be beyond belief
And service beyond compare.

But... when you saw him coming,
Would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome
To your honored visitor?

Or... would you have to change your
Clothes before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put
The Qur'an where they had been?

Would you still watch movies
On your trusty TV set?
Or would you rush to switch it off
Before he gets upset?

Would you turn off the radio
And hope he hadn't heard?
And wish you hadn't uttered
That last loud nasty word?

Would you hide you worldly music
And instead take Islamic books out?
Could you let him walk right in,
Or would you rush about?

And, I wonder... if the Prophet spent
A day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things
That you always do?

Would you go right on saying the things
You always used to say?
Would life for you continue
As it does from day to day?

Would your family conversation
Keep its usual pace?
Or would you find it hard each meal
To say a table grace?

Would you keep up each and every
Prayer, forcing back a frown?
And would you always jump up early
For every prayer at dawn?

Would you sing the songs you always do
And read the books you read?
And let him know things on which
Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the Prophet with you
Everywhere you normally go?
Or would you , maybe, change your plan
Just for a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet
Your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they'd stay away
Until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay
Forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief
When he at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know
The things you would do
If the Prophet Muhammad, in person,
Came to spend some time with you.

IslamA Chinese Emperor's Poem About Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by golpen(op): 1:54pm On Nov 10, 2013
Hong-Wu (also known by his given name Zhū
Yuánzhāng) was the Emperor of China between
1368 – 1398 CE. He was the first Emperor of the
Ming Dynasty, leading an Army that conquered
the country and defeated away the Mongol-led
Yuan Dynasty.

Despite being a non-Muslim, Hong-Wu ordered
the construction of several mosques in Nanjing,
Yunnan, Guangdong and Fujian. He rebuilt the
Jinjue Mosque in Nanjing and large numbers of
Hui (Muslim Chinese) people moved to the city
during his rule.
He had around 10 Muslim generals in his army,
including Chang Yuchun, Lan Yu, Ding Dexing,
Mu Ying, Feng Sheng and Hu Dahai. In addition,
Hong-Wu’s spouse, Empress Ma, descended from
a Muslim family while he was originally a
member of a Muslim rebel group led by Guo
Zhixin.

Emperor Hong-Wu wrote a 100 word eulogy
praising Islam, Allah and the Prophet
Muhammad which he had placed in the mosques
which he ordered to be built.
The eulogy is in the form of a poem, each verse
containing 4 words (characters) and 4 syllables.
In the translation below I have strayed away
from trying to keep the 4 word per verse
translation in favour of a more literal
translation which conveys the full meaning in
flowing English.

The One-Hundred Word Eulogy:

Since the creation of the Universe,
God had decreed to appoint,
This great faith-preaching man,
From the West he was born,
He received the Holy Scripture,
A Book of thirty parts,
To guide all creation,
Master of all Rulers,
Leader of Holy Ones,
With Support from Above,
To Protect His Nation,
With five daily prayers,
Silently hoping for peace,
His heart towards Allah,
Empowering the poor,
Saving them from calamity,
Seeing through the darkness,
Pulling souls and spirits,
Away from all wrongdoings,
A Mercy to the Worlds,
Traversing the ancient majestic path,
Vanquishing away all evil,
His Religion Pure and True,
Muhammad,
The Noble & Great one.

IslamRihannah Being Walked Out Of The Szgm In Dubai by golpen(op): 8:49am On Nov 10, 2013
Dressed in an all-black outfit that covered her arms, legs and hair, the Umbrella singer is seen pouting and lying down in the courtyard in the shots, which appeared on her Instagram account. The Bajan star visited the mosque before her Abu Dhabi concert and posed for the photographs which some have deemed “disrespectful” at a place of worship.

A statement issued by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre said: “The Centre strives to ensure that visitors enter the mosque in a decent fashion, and refrain from behaving in any way that is inconsistent with the sanctity of this religious place. In the event of behaviour that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations – such as taking inappropriate pictures, posing in ways that are improper in the context of sacred place, talking loudly, or eating – the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilisational and tolerant attributes of Islam. Usually, the visitors are appreciative of that.

“Here, the Centre refers to a recent incident, involving a singer who came for a private visit to the mosque, at a gate that is not reserved for visitors, without prior coordination with the Centre’s management and without identifying herself.

“She was directed by visitor services to proceed to the visitors’ main gate and take the guided tour, according to procedure. She left without entering the mosque, after being asked to do so, due to the fact that she had taken some pictures that do not conform with the conditions and regulations put in place by the Centre’s management to regulate visits in a way that takes the status and sanctity of the mosque into consideration.”

“While the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre always welcomes visitors and tourists from all around the world, it also calls on everyone to adhere to the moral codes of access to the mosque and to its visit regulations, which the Centre always makes sure are clear to all its visitors throughout the day.”

The images attracted condemnation and praise from fans.

One Twitter user, @NNTSHA_NAT, wrote: “I love Rihanna but then posing so seductively in front of the mosque is so disrespectful.”

Another tweeter, @Ahmedcarter, wrote: “Rihanna pics at Sheikh Zayed mosque are disrespectful to the place of worship.”

@BinttAlthee tweeted: “Rihanna modelling in the Sheikh Zayed mosque is just plain wrong. Who let her in?”

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest in the country and a popular tourist attraction that welcomes millions of visitors each year.

The mosque is open to non-Muslims but the body in charge, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, ask visitors to respect religious sensitivities.

This includes women wearing an abaya and shayla, which Rihanna did not do.

“Rihanna may look gorgeous and all but she’s covering her head out of fashion not out of respect for the mosque,” wrote @NAUF_z.

But many fans backed the star, who visited the mosque on Saturday ahead of her gig at du Arena on Yas Island.

“I don’t see how Rihanna posing adjacent to a mosque in Abu Dhabi is disrespectful. If anything she’s showing respect by supporting the hijab,” wrote @mila_iggy.

Twitter user @TheDimeRamla619 also found nothing wrong with the photographs, tweeting: “I have nothing against Rihanna, I mean the mosque in Abu Dhabi is a tourist place so therefore I don’t see nothing wrong.”

User @NurulxxNisyaa wrote: “I totally respect Rihanna, though it’s not her religion she still wear a hijab to the mosque.”

Rihanna is not the first western performer to upset locals during a visit. Rapper Snoop Dogg, now called by Snoop Lion, was criticised for wearing a kandura.

Mr username is a very wonderful person. He's a good diplomat according to this following definition; someone who tells a fool to go to hell in such a way that the poor guy looks forward to the trip. He has a point in some aspects, but his massive flaws cannot be exaggerated.

Imagine he has a problem with an arab reading the Qur'an and still has to go deep into the explanation (tafsir), because he feels the arab man can understand the text? But I'm so sure he must have passed through a level of schooling for him to have written a well constructed text. Then let's ask him why he attended those classes since he understands english enough for him to have gone through that textbook on his own.

His christian supporters should also think that they have been foolish to attend sunday schools and bible colleges, instead of reading the bible themselves. Please react to my earlier post and let's see if you've learnt something.

Don't mind username, he's just one of those impersonators that claim to be a muslim. ALLAH has spoken of shaitan in suratu yaasin 60-63 and his mission of leading so many people astray, our mr username is just one of his devices, so muslims BEWARE!!!
IslamRe: Ten Misconceptions Among Muslims by golpen(m): 1:40am On Oct 28, 2013
onetrack: Well then if each word in the arabic Quran has that many possible meanings then it's no wonder that anyone can read into the Quran whatever they want. The Quran is therefore useless as a guidebook.
You don't really have to display your ignorance and myopia. It is applicable to every language in this world to have a word with multiple meanings. Look up the word 'set' and if you use a standard dictionary, you should get at least 50 different meanings out of about 645 that particular word has. Does it mean the bible you read in english is a useless guidebook?
IslamRe: Ten Misconceptions Among Muslims by golpen(m): 1:34am On Oct 28, 2013
The Op has a point in his own opinion, but there are places I think he's getting it wrong.

RECITATION/MEMORIZATION IN ARABIC; recitation of the Qur'an in arabic is different from that in other languages. The fact is, the Qur'an was revealed in arabic, and so the best way of reciting it is arabic. However, reading in other languages is not prohibited and their benefits are different. The benefit of reading in another language is limited to understanding, which a muslim who doesn't understand arabic would still need the footnotes despite reading in an understandable language, just as the arabic cconversant person would also have to treat his tafsir. Same same.

Hence, the benefits of reciting the Qur'an in arabic are thus; just few of several:

Preciseness: only the arabic text of the Qur'an is exact (direct from the source-ALLAH), every translation, is human which means it is, no matter how, still subject to opinion of each translator. Some words are best used as translations, but which don't carry the exact meaning of the arabic words to be translated (this also happens to every language). Therefore, reciting in arabic carries out the assignment of the preciseness of the text, although reading with understanding is very important. I think dr zakir naik delivered a lecture on reading with understanding.

Emotions; the Qur'an is so powerful. It touches the heart when recited in arabic. The pronunciation in arabic brings out the quality of the literature (just the way you dance to awilo without understanding french) hence, driving the passion of the reader/listener which helps in bringing them close in remembrance of ALLAH. Here's an example;

Abdus-Samad was asked to recite for some
leaders of the Soviet party. ‘Abdus-Samad
recounts that four to five of his listeners from
the Communist Party were in tears on hearing
the recitation, although they didn't understand
what was being recited, but they cried,
apparently touched by his recitation.
Source: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Basit_'Abd_us-Samad

REWARDS; the reward for reciting the Qur'an is per aaraf (letter), which is calculated reciting in arabic. Reading in other language may not attract this advantage.

My points have not cancelled out the need to read with understanding, even if it means reading in an understandable language and I hope this helps.
