Twas you folks who said we evolved from monkey..I now asked, if we actually did, we do we still have monkeys today? aManFromMars: No you didn't. You just brought up random verses that were meaningless. None of those verses show that God loves sinners. The verses I posted earlier show clearly that God hates sinners and abhors their evil ways.

PS: to do something for someone is not to love them. God's love shines on those who do his will and obey his words .... like I said earlier, Christians should stop lying on God's behalf.
You actually know God does exist and lives...you just wanna argue..I'm done here...BTW God's love shine on all, saved n unsaved John 3v16

And I'm happy you're as reluctant as your partner up there to set issues straight. Anyways, I can safely conclude that you blame the one who commits the act and not God.

By this, I can infer that you believe homosexuality to be a conscious decision.

My question is: can you be gay? For a day only? For a month?

Who do you blame for lying, God or the Liar?
Who do you blame for stealing, God or the Thief?
Who do you blame for killing, God or the killer?
Who do you blame for envy, God or the envious?
Who do you blame for cheating, God or the Cheat?
Who do you blame for idolatry, God or the idolatrous?

Grace To Help! · Wednesday, September 18th ·

Pastor Anita

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Notice that our opening verse didn’t say "ask God for mercy," but to "obtain" or "collect" mercy. Do you need mercy in your life? Don’t pray, "O God, have mercy on me!" That won’t work because He already had mercy on the whole world when He sent Jesus. Jesus was the extended mercy of God. Now, you’re to come boldly to the throne of grace and "collect" it.

The next part says, "…and find grace to help in time of need." You have to determine which grace you need, because there are different "graces." Is it the grace for healing, or the grace for multiplication? Is it the grace for winning souls? Which grace do you want? You could even get more grace for your business and for your finances. James 4:6 says, "…he giveth more grace...." It’s God’s desire to increase the grace on your life every time. 2 Peter 1:2 tells us how His grace is multiplied in your life: it’s through the Word—the knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord.

Paul, writing to Timothy, said: "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 2:1). In other words, "take advantage of the grace that is in Christ Jesus." You can take advantage of that grace even now, and rebuke cancer from your body. You can take advantage of it and walk out of any predicament. John 1:16 says, "And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace." We’ve all received of His overflowing grace; that grace, working in you, is the power of promotion and unending success.

The Holy Spirit, who Himself is the Spirit of grace, lives in you. He has all the grace you need for an extraordinary life of excellence, victory, and dominion; take advantage of His grace and reign as a king in life.

Prayer
Dear Father, I’m grateful for your grace that’s multiplied daily in my life, causing your blessings, beauty, perfections and excellence to be revealed in and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Can/should homosexuals be allowed to practice their homosexuality? Or do they have to follow your way simply because you belief its a sin.[/quote]In Christianity, we are not allowed to practice such. I don't know about other religion/atheism, but in Christianity, it is an abomination. But however, if they (homosexuals) claim to be Christians, muslims, atheists, pagans, Buddhist, etc we have no choice but to love them, n pray for them, because we know they err. They don't have to believe in Christianity to know homosexuality is wrong...have you ever seen homosexual animals? Eg a cock chasing a cock, or a ram courting a ram instead of sheep? grin

Op so whats your point? That christians should be against homosexuality at thesame time love homosexuals while forcing their beliefs down others throat?
Pls clerify.[/quote]What the OP is saying is

LOVE the SINNER (because Christ instructed us to love everybody as he had loved us-we love not with our measure, but His) but NOT the SIN (because the bible tells us to flee from/reject sin.

Now sweetheart, hope you know that there can be SIN without a SINNER, but NO SINNER without a SIN, conclusively, we just proved we can separate the man from the sin. grin

Homosexuals are sinners with a sin (homosexuality)...we love the homosexual (the man), but not homosexuality (the sin).

If you still don't get it, we'll have to wait for Jesus' return.

The "Imitation" Of Christ · Tuesday, September 17th ·

Pastor Chris

THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father] (Ephesians 5:1 AMP).

There’re those who define Christianity as the imitation of Christ; this isn’t quite accurate. Christianity is the revelation of Christ in you. For example, a house has a kitchen, but the kitchen isn’t the house. In Christianity, there’s the imitation of Christ; but Christianity, essentially, isn’t the imitation of Christ.

Many people have never really understood true Christianity; hence, they tell everyone to imitate Christ. However, the message to imitate Christ isn’t for everyone, but for those in whom is the life and nature of God. You couldn’t imitate Christ except you have His life in you. How really are we supposed to imitate Christ? Are we supposed to go to the Cross and die as He did? Did He say that everything He did, we must do? Are we to go to the wilderness and fast for forty days and forty nights, as He did? Is it by copying His mannerisms, dressing, tone of voice etc.? Certainly not; but, we can study about Him in the Word; we can see Him in the Word and follow His examples.

1 Peter 2:21-23, lets us know some of the areas we can imitate Him. It says, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously." We’re to emulate His life of righteousness, wholesome communication, nature of forgiveness, kindness, humility, and love.

The summation of His character is love; we’re to therefore emulate Him by walking in love. Ephesians 5: 2 AMP admonishes us to "… walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance." 1 John 4:7-8 says, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for filling my heart with the revelation of your Word, and the wisdom to do your will. As I apply my heart to your Word, Christ is formed in me, and His character of love and nature of righteousness are revealed through me day by day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Christianity EtcRe: How To Become An Atheist by Gombs(m): 1:39pm On Sep 16, 2013
Still waiting for my answers

*thinking out loud
Coded information is always the product of
an intelligent mind: At the centre of every
biological organism is a vast amount of
encoded information called DNA
(approximately the equivalent of 1.5 gig of
digital information in one DNA strand). Nothing
lives without that information and things go
terribly wrong when that information is
damaged. When we consider the full extent of
human knowledge, the only process that we
have ever observed in which vast amounts of
encoded information are assembled and
stored is through the agency of living minds.
Therefore, to assert that DNA is Mother
Nature’s fortunate little accidental child is laughable. The nature of the DNA is always and without
exception the product of an intelligent mind.

*thinking out loud

Atheist pls, can you all explain the DNA? How it came about? Who stored those data in them? Big bang theory, evolution or wharreva method you cn conjure cnt explain it
Christianity EtcRe: How To Become An Atheist by Gombs(m):
Thanks Ola...now over to atheists...Let's talk about Creation of the universe and all in it. You folks have funny theories just to make sure God wasn't the creator.

1.Evolution

If evolution were correct, and humans evolved from
monkeys, then why are monkeys still around today?
(Waiting for this answer grin who created d monkey sef? Why do you folks believe something/everything came from nothing?)

Even
Charles Darwin himself admitted that he regretted
sparking the lie of evolution. Atheists, however, still do
not want to admit it is wrong as the only other
explanation would be God.

2. Big Bang Theory
why do y'all atheist believe in the Big Bang theory sef? The big bang theory is impossible
.Something cannot come from nothing (except God, why? Because he is supreme being, the alpha and omega, he is the BEGINNING and the END). It is a scientific
impossibility (since you folk don't believe in God, science can't support your claims of something coming outta nothing). The idea that one second there wasn't
anything then another second there was, is frankly offensive to one's
intelligence.

Christians know God made the Earth and sun and stars.
Then he put the people and animals and plants here. You
can see it in the intelligent design of foods such as
bananas and kiwis. They are made to be eaten easily by
humans. If that isn't enough scientific proof for you
then you must be blind.

3. If God didn't create the Earth, why does everything
work so well?

It can't be coincidence that we have air to breath,
water to drink, and churches to pray in. God intended it
that way.

The fact that every ecosystem in the world acts in
accordance with itself and survives is proof of an
intelligent design. If it all just happened, as evolution
and the big bang seem to suggest, there would be chaos
everywhere, No? Instead, the more we delve into scientific
fields, we find order. Order that can only be provided
by a benevolent creator.

3. On what is conscience and morals based on?

4. Don't you think of all creation, man is distinct? Why is he special? Why does he matter? Why no whales or lions or baboons?

Can you explain how comes... grin

Lemme get answers to these first...I'm just getting warmed up

Yeahmee: its a win-win-win situation here. the gospel is preached, pastor gets more popular and pastor is 3 billion naira richer.
simple math, 30 million naira x 100 naira profit = 3 billion naira.
why cant pastor donate the entire 30 million, i thot i heard hes a giver?
folks please wake up from the hypnosis, distribute d bible instead of rhapsody, thats a better investment

But we distribute bibles free too, if you doubt, ask Google

Now look at this analogy, if you use N20 to print 10exercise books and you distribute these books for FREE, did make make profit? OR did you intend to make profit or show love?

From your math, a copy is N150. 30 million free copies is N4.5 Billion. Now you saying he shd donate the entire 30million naira? He's giving out N4.5 billion FREE (in the devotional alone o, we've not talked about the other developmental projects)

Rule Over Circumstances! · Monday, September 16th
·
Pastor Chris

…And this is the victory that overcometh the world,
even our faith (1 John 5:4).

The Lord Jesus, while He walked this earth, lived such an exemplary life of faith. His confidence and apparent mastery over life’s circumstances is aweinspiring. He dazzled everyone by His extraordinary life of dominion. On a certain occasion, His disciples couldn’t help but ask out loud, in utter amazement: "…What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him" (Luke 8:25).

Luke 8:23-24 records for us the occasion that prompted
this question from the disciples: "But as they sailed he
fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the
lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying,
Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked
the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased,
and there was a calm." Observe closely what the Master
did: He rebuked the wind and the raging waves; that
means He spoke words. He actually said, "…peace, be
still" (Mark 4:39), and there was a great calm.

This gives us an insight into how He prevailed over circumstances. He ruled negative circumstances with
faith-filled words. He spoke words, and blind eyes opened up, maimed limbs were restored, and deaf ears were unstopped. He spoke and Lazarus, who was already dead and buried for four days, came back to life. He did all these to show that we can do the same; for as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

No wonder He said in John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say
unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he
do…." Rise up today and proclaim victory over that unpleasant situation. Proclaim victory in your health, family, finances, business, academics, job, etc. Declare that greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Rule and frame your world with faith-filled words, and watch your life move from one degree of glory to another.

Confession
I know who I am. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! The world is mine, because I’m a joint-heir with Christ. Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world. I live the life of excellence, victory, and dominion over Satan; I reign triumphantly in all circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
