No 9 but 7 of which 6 are responding to treatment.
1 is still Unconscious
They are 9 survivors in all.   And all 9 are in "okay" condition now.

Christianity EtcRe: Will God Send Good Atheists To Hell? by goodguy(op): 9:42pm On Oct 29, 2006
Okay guys. Someone replied me on the other forum with the following verse:

"In flaming fire taking vengance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ". - 2 Thessalonians 1:8

Even if that freewill will cause harm to her?

naijacutee:
Again, why would you blatantly reject the existence of God but all of a sudden hope to be saved by God?
I doubt if they really hope to be saved by God since they do not even believe He exists. I asked this question in respect to what God himself would decide personally. Remember His ways are not our ways. grin

naijacutee:
If an atheist expects for God to acknowledge them on the last day, then they should acknowledge God now. Jesus said (paraphrase) If you are ashamed of me before men, I will be ashamed of you before my Father. Simple.
How can one be ashamed of what he does not believe in?

kimba:
How about the hardness of heart against God? how about rejecting God?
How can their heart be hardened against someone they believe doesn't even exist? Is it possible to reject that which you do not believe exists at all?

kimba:
Now, I really wonder why Atheists - (who claim they don't believe in God, or rather they don't acknowledge him) still fear where they may end up. Atheists should know where they are going, abi, If you don't believe in God, then don't fear hell, and don't wish for heaven, just wait and see,
I doubt this statement. Atheists who do not believe in the existence of God definitely cannot believe in the existence of heaven and hell.

So even if they do the will of God throughout their life time (unconsciously though);  I mean, he never stole, he never killed, he never fornicated, he had a very high moral standard, he was very benevolent to others, was never a drinker nor a smoker, he practically lived what I can best describe as a "holy" life; are you guys telling me God will still send them to hell (a place of eternal torment) simply because they did not acknowledge Him?  Not even that He has another place reserved for them apart from heaven and hell?  You mean they'll rot forever in hell just like that? huh

I just heard on CNN a few minutes ago.  It's an ADC airline.  Over 100 people on board.

Christianity EtcWill God Send Good Atheists To Hell? by goodguy(op): 10:29pm On Oct 28, 2006
I started this same topic on another forum. So far I haven't got any replies. So I'll put it forward to you guys here.

Someone on that forum made this statement:

"God won't punish you and send you to hell if all you are always trying to do is the right thing"

This got me thinking.

As we all know, atheism is simply a lack of belief in a deity. And being an atheist does not make the person evil either. Therefore, if there is an atheist who is always trying to do good (there are so many atheists like that), and he practically succeeds in doing good throughout his life time, even better than those who believe in God; is he still going to be sent to hell?

Thanks for your anticipated responses.
Christianity EtcRe: Was There A World Before Genesis 1? by goodguy(m): 10:31pm On Oct 27, 2006
Bobbyaf:
water was created the very first time when terra ferma was. Both land and water were created together.

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
That verse you put up does not still prove the creation of the waters by God, at least, not in the book of Genesis.

Inviting EFCC or ICPC in to the church, mosque or shrine of worship of traditional gods is inviting chaos and unrest.
If the church, mosque or shrine of worship is clean, I see no chaos and unrest at all.
Christianity EtcRe: Should Efcc Probe Churches? by goodguy(m): 11:13pm On Oct 26, 2006
If there are no financial crimes in the church, I don't think the EFCC would be contemplating on probing them.  Besides, it is the mismanagement of church funds and other related dubious activities that is being talked about; not those who willingly 'give to God'.
Christianity EtcRe: Should Efcc Probe Churches? by goodguy(m): 10:30pm On Oct 26, 2006
Remember EFCC is the acronym for Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. When there are Financial crimes in a church, I see no reason why EFCC shouldn't dig into their treasury.

You are changing the topic. plz read the title of the thred again.
Responses on this thread have proven otherwise.  Most people here are not even talking about the EFCC any longer.  Their own is just that churches should never be probed for whatever reasons.

Uche2nna, you spoke my mind.

I mentioned that as an example of a crime, which crazykid has declared to be judged by God alone.

IS FLIRT A BAD THING? NO IT IS NOT!
As you can see, this topic is under religion. So, looking at it from a religious perspective, it is a bad thing.

lady kool:
SO LEAVE THE GUY TO ENJOY HIM SELF MAN!
You see, it is that enjoyment the Bible warned against. That is why his friend (who started this topic) is so concerned.

kheme:
i only HOPE you know the MEANING of the word "FLIRT"huh
I as well HOPE you know the word "FLIRT" has several MEANINGS huh

kheme:
because if you did, you'd know that there's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with flirting!
. . . because if you did, you'd know there's ABSOLUTELY something wrong with flirting (the type he's talking about).

kheme:
unless he's doing something else, which you wrongly termed as "flirting".
He already mentioned that he flirts with anything on skirt. One needs no lexicographer to explain what he meant by that.

Na wa for una o.  I don't think the guy made reference to the Bible when he made that statement.  But since you're asking for a reference, and not a verse that has the exact words, that wouldn't be difficult.  Just check out 2 Tim 2:22, Rom 13:14 and 1 Cor 6:18.

I wonder why people are proving lexicons here.  The guy already mentioned that his friend flirts around with anything in skirt (note the italicized word).  You need no Okotie to explain to you what that means.  And to the guy who just posted right above me, I wonder why you didn't include this part into your own meaning of "flirt":

flirt (flûrt)  Pronunciation Key
v. flirt·ed, flirt·ing, flirts
v. intr.
To make playfully romantic or sexual overtures.

However, all this time God knew that you, Ugonna, was always going to make Him proud.

This is an example of how freewill and Omniscience can exist together.
If she is going to make the wrong choice, God already knows.  Why then doesn't he stop her from making such choice, knowing fully well what harm it will do to her?  If you're going to tell me God does not interfere with our decisions (even when it's a bad one), then you wouldn't be portraying Him as a good God.  Imagine a father deciding not to interfere with his child's decision to go play with a lion, all in the name of "freewill".
