Christianity EtcRe: Does Christianity Support Immorality And Pacifism? by goodguy(m): 10:07pm On Jul 11, 2006
I thought Pacifism is supposed to mean 'The belief that disputes between nations should and can be settled peacefully'.

So what's wrong if Christianity supports that? Or am I missing something here? huh

FamilyRe: Men And Women Are Equal! by goodguy(m): 8:50pm On Jul 09, 2006
Zahymaka:
Very untrue. When it's something like murder or pedophilia, women get reduced sentences - especially when they're good-looking.
Yeah. .  and in that case, they won't scream "equal rights". tongue

Zahymaka:
Only in professions that objectify women -- examples are modelling and pornography.
I would rather say it depends on the nature of the job.  If they're both doing the same jobs, performing the same roles and carrying out their responsibilities equally, I see no reason why they shouldn't get the same pay.

k21:
so people i understand Cele has its problems and it has not done a good job of tiring to fix it but so do other churches, like the catholic church, once a church gets big, you can't control everyone's behavior and bad seeds starts to spring up everywhere but that doesn't mean GOD is not present in the church. I am sure redeem will soon start having its own problems when they get older because bad pastors will spring up, and people will start bad mouthing the church and there will be others who will remain faithful.
Very well said.

ComputersRe: Win Xp Service Pack 2 Freezes My Pc by goodguy(op): 11:03pm On Jun 28, 2006
gentleone:
@goodguy,could be a memory problem if u're getting straight lines across the screen and its hanging. change the memory card.
I had 256MB of RAM on it.  I just added another 128MB RAM to it last week, making it a total of 368MB (with 16MB shared), though I haven't installed any service pack yet.  I am thinking of reformatting the PC again as soon as I get a 1GB flash drive of my own (I have loads of files and softs on this pc); so I'll try installing SP2 and see if it'll work.  Thanks anyway for your advice.

Seun:
Try using a different graphics card (recommended) or updating the driver of the current one you're using.
Is graphics card the same as VGA card? huh
Nairaland GeneralRe: 5 Ways To Achieve Instant Fame On Nairaland by goodguy(m): 8:07pm On Jun 27, 2006
Another good way to achieve instant fame on Nairaland is by always creating threads/making posts under a particular board everytime.  For example;

*Aqua is known for Sexuality

*Charlisco is known for Graphics

*Afeni is known for Politics

*Akolawole is known for Sports

*tonisafe22 is known for Jobs

*Jagunlabi is known for Religion

*Rhodalyn & alike are known for Offtopic

While eveseh is known for always resurrecting dead threads.

Australia should not be under-estimated, though it's most likely that Italy will scale through.

'Life after death' experiences contradict the bible: "it is given unto man to die only once, after this then judgement".
But we've read of cases in the same Bible where the dead were resurrected.
ComputersWin Xp Service Pack 2 Freezes My Pc by goodguy(op): 12:36am On Jun 23, 2006
Each time I install SP2 on my PC, it freezes at intervals, showing some straight lines across the screen.  Even when I loaded Windows XP professional, with service pack 2 already integrated into it, I continued having the same problems.  I have formatted and re-formatted this PC so many times, and after installing SP2, the same problem arises again.

What could be the problem?  Is there any solution to this?  Or is my PC just incompatible with SP2, and I should forget about installing it? huh

NB.  The XP currently running on this PC does not even have a service pack.  I am scared of installing any (either SP1 or SP2) to prevent the loss of a bunch of important files, programs and software I have on this PC; since I will have to format the hard drive if I experience the problem again.  But then, some programs cannot run on this PC because I don't have SP2 e.g. IE7, Windows Defender, Windows Media Player 11 (Beta), etc. undecided

Guys, please help a brother here. embarassed cry
Christianity EtcRe: Who Created Evil? God? So He's To Blame? by goodguy(m): 11:27pm On Jun 19, 2006
Seems Seun has been happy that he has been able to ('d i s')prove that God exists.  First, he puts his link on the home page, then he made reference to it on another thread.

Anyway, since I have found it somewhat difficult to prove to the atheists here, with my personal experiences, that God exists, I guess I will have to leave the rest to the Almighty.  Afterall, I've often heard a lot of people say Tai Solarin, the most famous and controversial atheist and secular humanist in African history (if not the only one of any real renown), actually professed the existence of God before he died.

By the way, I suggest that the atheists here should check this out: http://bibleprobe.com/iansNDE.htm . Perhaps, they could have a re-think.

Do some people just read the topic and post, without bothering to read the post of the thread starter; or they just ignore them intentionally and go ahead to post anything they feel like? huh

Seun, if you have the time, can you read this link, and tell me what you think. At least that is another proof that God do exist and all this arguments about Evil. http://www.bowness.demon.co.uk/brain.htm
Did you go through the whole of that link at all yourself? The whole thing there is to prove that God does not exist!
Nairaland GeneralRe: 5 Ways To Achieve Instant Fame On Nairaland by goodguy(m): 11:08pm On Jun 17, 2006
A good way to achieve instant fame on Nairaland is to:

*Post smileys like Z4M4EVA

*Make telegraphic posts like eveseh; and/or

*Make extremely senseless posts all over the forum like rhodalyn.

Betterstill, 'intentionally' make grammatical blunders like moladun. grin

I have Trillian (Basic) installed on this pc but only use it once in a while, especially when I need to connect to a relay chat (IRC). It's really nice and has all the features that are in the original chat clients, and even more.

ComputersRe: Best Computer Antivirus Software? by goodguy(m): 11:07pm On Jun 09, 2006
Once used Norton. It's very okay.

Once used AVG. Shit software. It only detects virus, it never erases them.

Currently using Mcafee and it's serving me right.

I was told kaspersky is also good, even better than mcafee and norton. I don't know how true that is though.

@gbogboade:

You're in Lagos, Nigeria and you're asking this type of question?

Well, they have always existed and they still exist. The interesting part of it is that majority of them are daughters of rich men. And you can't find a virgin among them too! lipsrsealed

By the way, why do you want to know more about them? You want to join? They are available in all universities just incase. wink
