OyinO: Educated illiterate like you. Bro. DNA technology is a precise science. It is not some random game. Errors can come from mistake made by the technogist or a faulty reagent but these are canceled out by running the test a couple of times. Paternity testing is a precise science. Now go and read up and stop believing some make believe movie |

OyinO: Take DNA tests serious at your own peril. That stuff is 50/50. In case you don't understand what I mean by 50/50, I mean 50% accuracy and 50% error prone (inaccuracy). I have watched a foreign movie where DNA TEST RESULT created very devastating irreparable damage to a lovely family but at the end, it was an error. The woman was devastated. So many Melanite American Negros were said to originate from various parts of Africa following DNA testing but they are finding evidence to the contrary in recent times. There are better ways to find out true paternity. You are clueless. Go and read up more pls |

CalliDora1: Huh?
My guy, I think you're getting too personal with your pupils and its very wrong and unethical especially for that age and class. Imagine the sitting on your laps scenario. like seriously why would you allow them get so close?
Please set boundaries and make sure they respect it before you land yourself into a big trouble.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be friendly or approachable but at the same time, be strict. Just strike a balance in your relationship with them.
I'm also a teacher and I joke with the students at times but i know when to draw the lines for the bigger boys when theres need for that. Best advice. During my corp member days as a teacher, a young girl couldn't stop talking about me at home. My name was just popping out of her mouth every time..uncle N said this, uncle N told us this, uncle N showed us this... This continued until her mum had to show up in school to see who this uncle N is that has gotten her daughter in this state. My senior colleague had to reassure her that I'm not that kind of person. It seems the young lady was having a crush on me. Pls op, set boundaries |

ahmedzippa: Not the deadliest You are right. Pound for pound, ounce for ounce, drop for drop, its not the deadliest. I think the water snakes ( can't remember their names now) are the most venomous. But the aggressiveness, the penchant for biting a victim repeatedly makes it a formidable foe. The good thing is that they are not found in Nigeria |

adeadeyera: There are a number of scholarship opportunities that don't come with age limits, even for undergraduate studies. You just need to expand your scope - make wide researches. All the best! Thank you so much. |

xProfx: If you're above the age limit of certain scholarships, your best bet is to look for one that doesn't have such an age limit... Or send direct enquiries to the scholarship body to know your options.
Unless you want to reduce your age which could end up doing more harm than good. Thank you. |

wip7: Firstly, I like to ask If you are applying for a specific, advertised research project, meaning the Ph.D. research project is already defined?
If the above is true; then your first point is to identify the supervisor that advertised the research topic and discuss your proposal informally to ensure it directly fits the intended interest and gain input on the scope, design, and feasibility of the proposal.
If the above is false, then I think this topic is very localized/nationalized if you are not applying for a specific, advertised Ph.D. research project.
For most of the supervisors like me; the first thing I check when I receive a Ph.D. research proposal is to check if the proposed research can be replicated/reproducible internationally or on a wider scale using the same input parameters. Will I be able to publish the results, observations, and trends in the research and making it reusable by almost anybody in another clime? If such a proposal does not fit this then I don't consider it. You are going to Finland, your potential supervisor possibly a Finnish person and likely no nothing about Nigeria, and the government likely, not interested in funding such, also, during the Jury they may need to bring in many members that are conversant with your work to query your methods, results which becomes problematic etc.
Do you want to study a Ph.D. program for 3 to 5 years on the Nigerian Government’s Covid-19 Education Intervention?
In my opinion, you may consider changing your topic to something like "E-Learning and M-learning in a Developing Country: Implementation, Challenges, and Advances" This topic is not localized to Nigeria, the situation in Nigeria when it comes to e-learning is very similar to those in Burundi, Colombia, Chile, Kenya, Lebanon, Ghana etc......meaning your results, methods, observation, and recommendation will be very useful in these developing nations.
Also, any investor thinking of venturing into the e-learning business in these regions will find your work valuable, and also you stand a greater chance of being cited more than the earlier topic you proposed. It is possible for you to collaborate with key people in some of the countries you will get data from, understand their key challenges and your Ph.D. studies may find solutions to improving or solving these challenges...
That's my opinion..........!!
Best wishes Excellent position sir. I'm really learning from the masters here. I wouldn't mind mentoring me sir |
