Pantami on several times received death threats from Boko Haram for opposing them and many Islamic scholars like Sheikh Albani of Zaria, Danme Shiyya of sokoto and Sheikh Jafar were killed by Boko Haram for taking similar stand as Pantami against Boko Haram.
