Image123: Are you blind? The OP said that she "OBVIOUSLY" knows that it is bad. She understands what she is doing, and is somehow of the opinion that it is a bad thing. Remember, i am not talking about sin here. Her church members think it is bad, she thinks it is bad, the right thing is for her to adjust. All this your gragra about where it is in the Bible is plain childish of you. Everyone has a (personal) relationship with God. David wasn't okay with doing something for God without it 'pinching' him, some people are okay. Some people prostrate to God as it were every morning, some don't. In the Op's context, they feel its wrong, leave them with that. If you like, you can walk naked to your own church without regard for others since it is God you want to go and see. Leave your own convictions to your self.Abeg, stop this sentiment. I'm not talking my 'personal' thoughts here. Every truth must be established from the word, our constitution otherwise you are promoting a gospel such as everyone can do as they deem fit, if such is spread then we have no Lord over us. The same Christ is preached to all and is One Lord that reigns over all. The op saying It's bad is obviously not very convinced and she asked, is it that bad. If she sees it completely bad, she probably not bring it up here. She is an adult and knows what's but is it that bad in the presence of God? Did God tell any of us such is bad? |
Goshen360: @ anyone, |
@ anyone, please where do I watch the match online free. Thanks |
christemmbassey: I am sure most professed atheists in NL where not atheists but christians, they were driven from their church when they did bad things, out of frustration they are attacking christianity. Eg logicboy ![]() |
JeSoul: Nah the one wey brother Image type I dey wonder...I do not think culture/tradition influenced 'certain' portion of Apostle Paul's writing otherwise he will not be writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit but influenced by culture/tradition. |
JeSoul: President Goshen. Suffrey suffrey. Nobody can establish from scripture either that eating amala is right or wrong...if you catch my driftThat's it right there! If nobody can establish eating amala is right or wrong, why do we make issues out of it? Why call it bad or wrong or good or whatever. My point is, as far as scripture is concern, such issues are irrelevant and we shouldn't tag it 'bad'. Maybe next Sunday, I will try worship in with my shirt off..... ![]() |
Anti mi JeSoul, na Yoruba me type na. @ Everyone, Please, let's handle this issue with scriptural relevance otherwise, sentiment will play a major role. I haven't seen from scriptures where crossing legs in worship becomes an issue but I have read dafidi worship God n.aked but we are here talking ordinary crossing legs. Make una talk scripture abeg. |
Image123: Ecc 7:16 Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?Obviously you are not treating the core issue...and that is, how does crossing legs be a bad thing in the presence of God That is the issue you should be addressing sir. |
christemmbassey: is logicboy a catholic?Yes! He was a Catholic for 22 years but busy eating communion only for those years. ![]() |
FOLYKAZE: ha! TWISTING IN ACTIONWhat do you even consider or call 'twisting' ![]() |
hisblud: Atheist: What can you perceive or see? Both is 'twisting'........ ![]() |
^ Anti mi, mi o understand meaning 'wbb' te type ninu reply yin o. E jo e ba ni interpret e, ki n le f'esi si. |
Reyginus: Aha! So Goshen is telling the truth. Paving the way for Abuja I guess.'leaf' am, I will report his IP address to the Moderators when the time comes. He is already tracked! |
Reyginus: *juggling around. I'm warming up* ![]() |
@ Debosky, You see say them don run, leaving only cyrexx to this argument. I told you. I have tracked that Logicboy03 of a person, he is the same person using another I.d for FOLYKAZE......I will expose him one day.... ![]() |
cyrexx: Good. Let us reason together says the bible. There is nothing conflicting therein. If me or anyone said it, it's the duty of every Christian to search the truth of every matter. The fact that Matthew to John were placed under the new does not make the content new. How can New Testament be established under the new, that is if Matthew to John is new There is a thread we trashed this out already. Go there and learn the truth. |
FOLYKAZE: Edo boy not Logicboy. Dont handle my pidgin pls, address my point or say i dont know. The fact that you keep saying "Paul quoted from book of Enoch" shows you don't know what you're talking about and you want us to engage in time wasting argument with you....as in seriously . See my time na $$$s e dey spill for me, not this kind of argument....... ![]() FOLYKAZE: Anony! Paul quoted from the book of Enoch according to Jude verse 14. I think your 66 books have the book where Paul quote from You see as I dey 'laf' you in tongues..... ![]() |
debosky: You are quite stubborn in your ignorance - where in those two verses is it said that 'God is three'? Or are you also unable to read?Abeg "leaf" this guy o. I don laf tire. Na so him say PAUL quoted from the book of Enouch....I'm like what the heck is he saying ![]() FOLYKAZE: I think your crown is intoxicating you like palm wine right? Provide the verse that says catholic bible should have more books than the protestant bible. Dont forget Paul quote from the book of Enoch in Jude verse 14. Now tell the world why the books are selective ![]() |
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100726133450AAkYxIq
Here is what I quoted from your link, not from the scriptures. Since you now advice Christians to follow issues not biblically established.... ![]() Why is it disrespectful to cross your legs during a Catholic mass? I was in church yesterday with my cousins that go to a private Catholic school, and after recieving Communion, I knelt and prayed when I got back to my seat, then, when I finished, I sat down and crossed my legs(out of habit - I don't usually sit with my legs straight), and my cousin pointed and said "don't do that!!!!" and I asked why.. He didn't tell me why... Is there a particular reason? 2 years ago Report Abuse JusTmE Best Answer - Chosen by Asker In the Orthodox Church it is supposedly taboo and considered to be very disrespectful to cross your legs during mass, because it is too casual and too relaxed for being in church. For example, when you do sit in church, you should sit attentively, with your feet on the floor, ready to stand. In our North American culture, while its not really taboo or a "rule" some people still see this as proper etiquette for mass and considered respectful. So if it is not a biblical standard for instructions in the worship places, where make a law or an issue out of it. Whatever we cannot preach or teach anywhere, anytime is not the Gospel. I think a Christian sister can cross her legs if she knows she sits carelessly. This in itself is a way of preventing some kind of "exposure". Very soon, some worship places will start telling pregnant women not to sit down because they want to pray to God. Any pregnant woman can sit or stand up while praying IF she feel comfortable with it; there is no law against such. Let's not make too much out of leg crossing in worship places. |
FOLYKAZE: I think your crown is intoxicating you like palm wine right? Provide the verse that says catholic bible should have more books than the protestant bible. Dont forget Paul quote from the book of Enoch in Jude verse 14. Now tell the world why the books are selectiveYoung man, grow up! There's nothing in crown intoxication, okay. Besides, you see how you expose your folly to the whole world......PAUL quoted from book of Enoch Really .....Me think you same Logicboy03 in disguise..... . Let me go and track your IP address first....... |
Logicboy03: Ask Debosky. And you want us to spend our previous time arguing with you that you don't even understand the basis of your logical argument. My friend, stop seeking attention by irrelevant and senseless threads all over the please. You never learned anything in the first place, only eating communion. That's all you did when in Catholic..... ![]() |
@ cyrexx, FOLYKAZE and Logicboy03, When Debosky referred to Christ as the Son of God, what does that mean ![]() |
Logicboy03: I dont bother with you because you cant argue logically. I asked a simple question that destroys your New Testament theory and you sidestepped it.You can't argue with me because scriptures that I quoted already defeat your logic......You argue logically and I do also but it's beyond your comprehension. |
First @ Logicboy03, On your question, "A simple question, if Jesus's teaching are different from the old testament, how are his teachings in the gospels then part of the old testament?" Your problems are: you are lazy; only want to hear what you want to hear or dwell on what you previously know from the bible. I gave you the link to the other thread where the answer to your question was provided. You still choose to start irrelevant argument here seeking unnecessary attention all over here. If your too lazy to go read the other thread, then you are on your own. The same way you were saying to defend the faith = argue the faith and when you are asked, you ran away. Safe journey mehn! |
If we P-RAISE Him, He will RAISE us. |
^^^ Happy New Year my dear brother. Grace be multiplied (not added, not subtracted, not divided) unto you. In the world of today, they say seeing is believing. That is according to the WORLD. According to the WORD, believing is seeing (John 11:40). If you believe, you shall SEE the glory of God this year in Jesus! |
Please who knows or has had an experience of how long it takes to get an intreview for an immigrant visa?
Immigrant visas take same 2 business days to process. The time for interview are not usually long time since it is already approved from the States by the immigration. Denial cases are very rare expect someone says something too different from what is entailed in the application form. Usually, questions are drawn from the application form(s). |
Logicboy03: Goshen, I hardly argue with you and truthislight because all you guys know is to give some twisted protestant prosperity interpretations of the bibleWhat!... You can't argue me or truthislight because you lack sound biblical stamina to argue us. What we speak is beyond your "logic" hence we defeat you in biblical reasoning. We only use scriptures to explain scriptures. That's the way to sound teaching bro. Like I said, I will keep my eyes on you henceforth and tackle you whenever you spew biblical rubbish... ![]() |
And nobody has been able to establish from the scripture that crossing legs while in worship place is wrong; mind you we are the church, not the building. If a Christian sister feels or thinks she sit carelessly sometimes and decides to cross her legs in order to prevent "exposure" what is wrong in that for God's sake? If we are going to prove something is wrong, then I think we should establish such truth from the scripture not by sentiments. |
Happy New Year to our honourable Moderators, manmustwack and JeSoul. Thank God for both of you. |
Happy New Year bro. |
Logicboy03: Nowadays, I am even confused myself.Yes! You have to be more CONFUSED. Confused because you only have logic to interpret scriptures. When the same logic is engaged with you to "reason" the scripture, you end up being confused. The proper way of interpreting scripture is using scriptures-to-explain-scriptures. Logicboy03: The ridiculous things I have heard so farYou called it ridiculous because you never learned anything in the first place when you were busy serving the table. Well, I don't know of other things but certainly, you need to go sit down and learn the truth for yourself and not just reading the bible to find fault or come back to ridicule the word; when you do that, we will always be here to challenge your knowledge. Logicboy03: -The four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are not part of the new testamentThis teachings, you ran away from the thread. We helped you out. We have trashed it out. Go back and learn. Click HERE Logicboy03: -Christ supported tithingI'm not starting this year with tithing but Christ NEVER taught tithing. It was an Old testament practice that was still in effect when Christ was physically on earth. It was still a "matter of the law" according to Matthew 23:23. Hence, Matthew to John was still old testament but were written AFTER the death of Christ. I believe that was the reason scholars placed it as a new testament. The context/content of Matthew to John is old testament aside Christ's teaching that He came and beginning to change. You need to go back to that thread above that I gave the link and learn. I don't know about other three aspect but I believe what you need to do (if you really want to know the truth) is to first give your life to Christ and believe the Gospel. The Spirit of God then in-dwells you and teach you all truth of the word. You have a responsibility and that responsibility is to yourself to be diligent in studying the truth. |
