Many Christians believe or think it was our Lord that started the idea of speaking in parables or that Christ was the first to convey the kingdom and spiritual truth in parables. This is not true! There are parables in the OT that keyed into the NT of our time in these last days. The OT holds several parables among which are:

The trees choose a king told by Jotham to Shechemites (Judges 9:7-15).
The discussion in heaven told by Micaiah to Ahab (I kings 22:19-23) and
The thistle and the Cedar told by Jehoash to Amaziah (II Kings 14:9).

Today, I begin a series in the teaching on the above subject, probably the last for this year as we draw close to end of the year 2012.

“Listen to me, you men of Shechem,
That God may listen to you!

8 “The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, ‘Reign over us!’

9 But the olive tree said to them, ‘should I cease giving my oil, with which they honor God and men, and go to sway over trees?’

10 “Then the trees said to the fig tree, ‘You come and reign over us!’

12 “Then the trees said to the vine, ‘You come and reign over us!’

13 But the vine said to them, ‘should I cease my new wine, which cheers both God and men, and go to sway over trees?’

14 “Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘You come and reign over us!’

15 And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If in truth you anoint me as king over you, then come and take shelter in my shade; But if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon!’[/b]

This happened at a time when national Israel wanted a king over them which in itself is prophetic to the latter day churches.

In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes. - Judges 17:6; Judges 21:25; Judges 19:1; Judges 18:1; Deuteronomy 12:8.

That is, there wasn’t fixed standard of morality. This is one of the several parables in the OT from the word of God. Some call it fables and to others, it is an allegory. Whatever we choose to call it, it is a story in which a meaning is conveyed other than that of the words themselves; it is a story to illustrate truth of the kingdom of God in which one thing is said and something else is meant.

Here the trees are spoken of as persons holding convocation to elect a king to rule or reign over them. The Spirit of God is speaking to the last day churches through this parable of God’s word today. There are four (4) kingdom truths and revelation unfolded for the end-time church today in this parable.

I can't really reply this preacher because I know him too well from TBN. He is the up-coming person being used by TBN to milk God's people. I have many video clips from TBN website where he often twist scriptures to milk God's people so I'm not surprised. Every true believers must stand to study the word for them.

In the OT, it was Pharaoh that enslaved the people of God. God had to send Moses to deliver them. Now, (somebody say NOW!....I say shout NOW!....one more time, shout and scream it loud like you mean it - NOW!) in the NT, it is lies, deception and heresy that keeps God's people in bondage. Christ had already come to set us free. It is no longer Moses that will set us free BUT the TRUTH and Christ is the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE. Glory to God, I "feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel" the anointing to preach right now......anyway, we don't feel the anointing anymore, we operate in the anointing that had been given to us.

I once told someone the same thing - with time difference between countries, some countries will end before others. People should just sit down and study their bible for once. Our God is not a liar! By Saturday morning, after I wake up; I will be here again edifying the body of Christ. Glory to God!

I have officially ended this series but the Spirit of God ministered another practice to me. I wish to share it as an extension.

8. The practice of sealing your miracle, blessing and prophetic word by laying money at the alter or preacher's feet.

First, the videos shown is only to have a graphic illustration of what I'm talking about as an example. It is not to mean the people involved are the only churches into this practices, many churches are into such non-apostolic practices even in Nigeria and around the world.

Second, I have never heard a message to be sure on what scriptures these practices are generated from or used to mislead God's people. The idea of scripture that came to my mind was,

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. - Acts 4:34-35.

I have always said I'm a big time lover of KJV and will always be but with the archaic English of KJV, preachers capitalize on it to mislead church folks and pulling it out of context. When you read these verses from other translations, the phrase "laid it at the apostle's feet" is another way of saying believers who engaged in the practice of sharing with one another by selling their possessions brought to the apostles the money from what was sold so that the apostles would then distribute to every man according to his needs.

Never was it practiced when any apostle is teaching or preaching the word of God and a word of prophesy goes forth, the people were never told to sow seed to seal or tap into the fulfillment of such prophesy, blessing and miracle. There is not biblical scriptures for such kind of practices whereby Christians are instructed to rush out in masses to drop money at the alter or feet of the preacher so the preacher can step on the money in dominion or all such of rubbish.

God's people must be liberated and set free from all these practices. Christianity is simple and we must stand up to defend our faith that is being corrupted by lovers of money.

This is a powerful scripture! I have said in the past and will say it again. Any man of God that loves money is NOT fit to be called a man of God according to this scriptures - a man of God don't love money. Not that he doesn't need money but he doesn't love to the extend that he is eager to money and hereby wrecking the faith. It says "BUT YOU, MAN OF GOD, flee from all this..." From what? The love of money that wrecks the faith. My dear brothers and sisters, we are not of them that peddle the word of God for profit.

^^^ My brother, you are not bothering me. I have stated my stance here on the "Trinity of God" in the past. The Apostles NEVER used the word "Trinity" but they believe the Father is God; the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God - all with scriptures. Hence, in a nutshell, the Apostles never used the word trinity but the concept they preached and believed.

The so called generational curses is broken in verse 6 and God's love is extended to thousands of generation OF THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD AND OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS.Ask yourself, do you love or hate the Lord and apply whatever verse you belongs to. Christians have an heritage in Christ; curses are NOT part of our heritage in Christ Jesus because we love the Lord.

There is nothing like generational curses to those who are in Christ Jesus for if ANY MAN be IN Christ, he is a NEW CREATION, old things are pass away. When we don't understand our covenant rights and priviledges, we abuse many things and attend curse breaking and deliverance service. I'm not talking about those who are possessed and not in God's kingdom; I'm talking about New Creations born from above and washed in/by the blood of the lamb.

Under the new covenant, when a man be in Christ and such man carries generational curses....please and please understand that Christ is "BEING MADE A CURSE" for such man. I have asked these questions many times and probably you didn't read the thread but you just made comment in a haste. Now le'me ask you again,

1. Revelation 12:11. If they had ALREADY OVERCAME by the blood, does that mean what the blood they overcame with wasn't effective when they overcame the devil and they will have to keep overcoming again and again?

2. Hebrews 12:24. When this blood of sprinkling speak better things than that of Abel.....what does it mean? to be repeatedly sprinkled Perhaps you forgot to mention that the same blood was sprinkled ONCE AND ONCE FOR ALL.

Kindly answer the two kweshions.

Plus: We cannot be treating the precious blood of Christ like that of goat and bull that was offered repeatedly under the old covenant. The blood of Christ was shed once and for all for our redemption and victory. It's a done deal. What the bible teaches is FAITH in what the blood had already not pleading the blood again and again.

I can understand you very well. Even the verse I gave you, (in its KJV context - reading the whole passage) is still confusing. What is my point? My point is, don't rule out NIV outrightly simply because of some verses. How about the verses that NIV made clearer than KJV? They all compliment each other. Like I said, I used to be KJV ONLY in the past and even opened some threads for KJV. Don't get me wrong. I'm still a fan of KJV and will always be but we need to break the monopoly of KJV ONLY.

Many translations bring out beauty of scriptures more than the KJV - New Living, Amplified, God's word, Holman, NIV etc. That is the purpose of many translations - to make some scriptural verse clearer. You will be surprised you might need NIV to make some verses clearer than KJV. Whatever translation makes your study clearer, use it and any of them that gives you a deeper meaning to your study, use it. That's the reason you often see me quote from different translation, not sticking to a favourite. Anyone that brings out a deeper meaning is what I present. They will all say same thing but some will present a deeper meaning than the other while some will lost the meaning of some verses.

This thread is not all about me even though I started the teaching. Contributors who are bible teachers can also teach non-apostolic practices here and let's liberate God's people; launching them "into the deep" for the unlimited wealth in the word of God.

Many of us Christian probably young in the faith don't know our left from right. And to make matters worst, we became more confused by those we hold in high esteem to handle the word of truth. Now, before you begin to say (as usual) are we then suppose to tear the old testament out of the bible? Absolutely NO! What then is wrong with the old covenant that operated under the old testament? Absolutely NOTHING!....because it was what was need at the time it was in force between God and the national Israel. Also, under that old covenant, the gospel was hidden and presented as types and shadows of good things to come.

Yes, practices develop as a result of teachings but Trinity is not a practice. It doesn't act in non-apostolic practices.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. - Isaiah 6:1

And this complimentary and balancing scripture says Christ (Lord) is already sited on the throne, then the question will be, would there be need for any Uzziah to have to die anymore because it says, "when Uzziah died that was when I also saw the Lord sitting upon a throne...". So Uzziah is a prerequisite to seeing the Lord sitting on the throne right?

Now, the Lord is already sitted on the throne, does Uzziah have to die repeatedly

All these are exercise in futility. A clear picture of religious spirit in operation. The New Testament tells us exactly things that ought to be dead or that ought to die as it regards believers. We should stop all these religious parade!

I'm a King James addict BUT it's not good to be King James ONLY. The word of God is made clearer in some many translation. KJV still retain some scriptural beauties but also confuses some verse and some preachers are aware of this confusion in KJV and they use it/them to manipulate the people of God.

You see this very verse when I was a baby Christian. There was a minister of God that was invited from GOFAMINT to minister in our pentecostal church then. When this minister used this very scripture of "Isaiah 6:1-8: In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne........... . Even our Pastor then was jumping up and marveled at the so called "revelation".

When I began to sit myself down to be a student of the word, I found out what the New Testament says "It MUST die" in the life of a believer. Therefore, I understand (from the New Testament) that a king is one who rule over the other. What is it that rules as a type and shadow of king Uzziah and MUST die in the life of a believer (in the new testament) are the following:

1. Old man or old nature
