Virtually every internet is ok when its first launched in nigeria. Imagine using free internet in the United states with a capacity that can carry up to 5-7 computers in a nigerian cybercafe. What a world we are living in nigeria.

yes, i guess its true that it erases after 6months cos i have such experience when i applied for another visa after one year and i wasnt asked anything pertaining to my previous application.

This is the Internation Trade Fair area in Ojo along badagry expressway.

But why go live there?

The traffic in Festac and that at LASU gate junction will simply kill you.

And in raining season; it is welcome to HELL

CONFIRMED, I live in badagry area of Lagos state where you have to pass thru Trade fair, ojo miliraty cantoment, Iyana-iba and okoko. This you see the badagry expressway in that map and the back road that links ojo, Amuwo odofin, Agboju, old ojo road, check the map closely, there are two different raods there.

documents needed

your invitation letter for d conference
registration letter or confirmation for d conference
hotel reservations
if you are sponsporing your, your huge bank statement that must have enough fund after booking your flight return ticket, return ticket confirmation printout.
your admission leter as a final year student
school id card
letter from your HOD that your are one of the best student of d dept as recommendations.
your old pasport with all visas on it, valid or expired, carry it along.

these are just few i can remember for now, hope to post more when i ruminate the more. The rest na to go face embassy with their palasa questions, Good luck

Just stumbled on this issue (B referral) in my recent research on US visa applications. This is a situation whereby an official of the US embassy will have to stand-in for you that you will definitely return back to your home country.

Those anyone in the house know the procedure(s) in getting the referral ? Pls share with us as it urgent in my case for now.

NAA had stop operating in NIgeria simply because economy fuel consumption rate in nigeria. They had to stop operating in Nigeria. Check their site and confirm: http://www.flynaa.com. Effective May 19, 2008, NAA's scheduled service operations will be discontinued.

Yea, i agree with you cos i reside in the border area of Nigeria and benin republic and also buy cars for customers at times. I also have the idea of how much its being sold in Lagos or else where in Nigeria. The main issue is, most of the tyme, car dealers at Apapa also have agent at seme border area who buys car for them to resell. But if you can connect a good agent from seme border, you are sure of a better fair price.

They have being so helpful i must confess even though i also make research and i have being to the US embassy to apply for student visa but was denied then. Going to canada under a training programme is quite easy. Get your training institution and apply. After your application and payment of the application fee, you will be sent an acceptance letter that will also require you to pay full or part tuition fee before the document needed by the embassy will be sent to you.

You will then have to book appointment with the embassy here in nigeria to appear b4 the consular officer.

It is good you understand that if you still come to lagos consular of the US embassy because you were denied at Abuja, you will still be denied at Lagos consular office because signal had already being sent into the central database for denied visa and since your fingerprint had already being taken, you cant even change your passport and reapply and go scourt free. Most time, at the US embassy, u have to reapply after 6 months from d date of denial.

This i had experienced, any way, Good luck if you still wish to try.

Officially, the result will commence and winners notified between May - July (last week) 2008. Incase no one receive notification by regular/surface mail between this period, then consider applying for the next one. However, result could come earlier in some cases.

Hello Nairalander, I want to apply for a canadian study permit but i have been denied a british visa, i want to know if i need a new passport or if i can still use the old one. i also want to know how much you need in your statement of account, am told you only need a statement that is in use and the amount in it is not necessary.

its of a great interest to me when i see pple like you wanting to make moves in life. First, let me bring to your understanding that i have also applied for a student visa in the american embassy. I was denied just because i wasnt properly guided. I will like to encourage you and guide you well.

Like smile4kenn said, u do not to be afraid of those things, eg passport, bank statement etc. what matters are:

1. get the admission letter
2. your sponsor cos a student is not expected to sponsor his/her self
3. your new e- passport is preferable cos most embassies dont accept the old one
4. your sponsor's bank statement must meet the cost of your study as estimated in your i-20 form and must be opened for at least more than six month
5. you must also have international exam certificate, eg toefl, sat
6. your age also counts compared with the level of education you wish to pursue, if incase you are applying for undergraduate at 26years, they might not give you visa.
7. support documents like your own personal statement and family ties
8. you must be able to convince the interviewing office enough that you will come back to your country.

If incase you are talking about 2009 dv lottery that was played last year(2007), then you should refer to the dvlottery as 2009 result. The people that applied for dv lottery for that 2007 (played in 2005) they must have all being treated in 2006/2007. The 2009 dv lottery that was played in 2007 will release result between March-May 2008. Maybe you are refering to dv2009. Anyway, whichever you are refering to, i have answered you question.
