Definitely, no body goes to church without dropping off some sort of money as offerings or a gift to the church.
Tithing is for the pastor who are not engaged in another thing and the needy of the congregation.
Today, both the money is available for something else rather than the original message from God.
Tithing is no longer relevant to the society of today because there are no store house for the poor to go anywhere

i will start tithing the day i hear from the pulpit to pay my tithe to the Widows, orphans and strangers as commanded i the bible.

What is the benefits of a school been runs by a church that an average members of that same church can not afford to pay for his /her children school fees.
What is an advantage of a church hospital where an average fellow from the church can not get a free medical assistant for a small ailment or where a pregnant woman can get a free normal delivery.
What is an advantage of a church that can not provide for them that are in need of one form of support or the other.
Everyday, church are buying up warehouse that supposed to serve as a place of work and people are getting poorer and the few people that are comfortable turn up as oppressors.

When Jesus left the Earth he gave the church two things
1) The Holy Spirit

When he created the family he made the man the head and when man said that structure wasn't in line with modernity they began to do it their own way and today America has a 50% divorce rate. Over 1 million Americans are in Mental institutions because of addiction to Alcohol. The prison system is getting more saturated. And all these can be traced to a broken families.

That we are debating about paying or not of thite today is because of the way our Church leaders have turned Christianity into pure business organization.
The missionaries that brought Christianity into Africa did it for humanity even though it's also involved them taking our resources.
But today's indigenous Pastor are passionate about their relationship with money than humans.
It's high time we all call for a real revival in the body of Christ and let salvation of soul, taking care of our society poor be of utmost importance to the church.
Tithe is designed for the needy. But what we have nowadays are pastors living big and pulling big business with tithes money to the detriment of the original beneficiaries.

Just leave this clowns. There are verses that reiterate the giving of tithes to widows, levites orphans and strangers in the land so they may have enough to eat. This means that the tithe is not even supposed to go to rich orphans and widows or the ones that are doing well. Some dumb pastors will tell me that they are modern day levites. In what context? Levites are descendants of Levi and they were permitted to partake in the tithe because they had no inheritance of their own and nothing to their name. Nigerian pastors are not descendants of Levi neither do they have not inheritance. You always hear them being millionaires and shit.
This days it's OK to twist the Bible to fit in one's situation. That is why the church tycoons use that verse from Malachi that talks about bringing tithes to God's store house so I ask them. Do these church buildings look like store houses to you? And if you say we should take tithes to church, are you insinuating that pastors are God? Meanwhile see what a storehouse look like. If you pay close attention, you will notice that there's always no pulpit or chairs in them.

PS: For some strange reason, Malachi 3:10 has suddenly become the most important verse in the Bible. Even more important than John 3:16 and Matthew 21:22

Suffering of the masses or any entity has to do with ignorance. The more you know about the universe, the more evolved one becomes and all other things are added unto you. In essence, no one who truly understands the Universe and the Creator can suffer. The Soul who is awakened to realize what he/she is, and is ready to return to the original creator. As long as he/she is not caught up in the higher dogma. People are so proud these days that they have realized Religion is a pack of cards, yet they fall into the higher trappings of the higher Gods, then they talk or Uriel, Gabrial, Rafael, Michael, others speak of Masters like those I mention, yet other falls into the trapping of even Luciferans and the rest, and they believe they have found a higher calling.
