They are clamouring for the wrong things. Lagos is not the only state with functional ports. Decentralize the ports , open up all the ports in the south south and south east. bad governance is the issue. nothing will change until govt is changed .

Likewise Calabar

Government should remove politic and utilize all the ports. If 30% shipment is destined to Lagos, 30% to Rivers, 20% to Warri and 20% to Calabar congestion and delay experience in clearing goods at Lagos port will be the things of the past.

I continue to wonder why truck container from Lagos to Anambra when there is port in Rivers, Delta and Calabar which are far closer.

They took to the street because they want a better warfare package for the police.

They took to the street because civil servant are paid peanut while some people newspaper allowance is equal to there 10yrs salary.

They took to the street because the goverment promised change during their campaign but no visible change.

They youth took to the streets because SARS are fight bandits and keeping the north secure but the same SARS are maiming and killing the youth in the East, West and South.

They youth took to the street because since independent the government have not be able to provide water, electricity, good transport system etc.

They youth are on the street because the resources in their God given land is being use to build other part of the country while they live with the damage caused by mining and drilling.


The youth are on the street because they deserve equality if we should be called Nigerian. Not a Nigeria that some part of the country grant admission to student who score 80 -100 to gain admission into the University while in other part of the nation you are required to have 180 - 200 before you are giving admission.

The list is endless.

Mr. President in your entire life, you have enjoy the fruit of the land, the youth are asking you to provide for them the basic since you are already in the transit hall of life.

1. Water: a nation that cannot provide water to 10% household is asking us to wash our hand with soap and under tap running water.

3. A nation in which servant (Police, Senators, Pastors) have become lords over their member and follower needs a change.

4. A nation that spend million on refineries and still import fuel need a change

5. A nation the leadership favors a particular region need change.

6. A nation that allows it citizens to be fraudulent charge month for electricity not supply need a change.

7. A nation that cannot release a National Identification to its citizen for over 7yrs after capturing need a change.

8. A nation that award contracts to their senators and politician cronies, need a change.
