Over half the people landing fly Ethiopian. Read up landing gists, you’ll get the info you need.
Jbelieve:
Please who has used Ethiopian air. I intend to book with them as they are the cheapest so far. Are there any down sides to using them? Please awaiting response urgently.

Landed at Calgary at 13:25. No more landing cards, you are required to self check in digitally. Got to immigration for landing procedures, spent over an hour till it got to my turn. Took about 15 mins for the landing procedures. Just asked the statutory questions and had me sign off. It was quite cold and i was freezing. In August? Wow.
It was a good trip. Thankful to be here. My journey has come full circle. Praise be to God.
Welcome to Calgary!

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to disturb you on this; I've heard things about how one ielts body is tougher than the other from some people and i think it's better to hear from people with experience. My question is,
Between BC and MOD which will you encourage someone to take ielts with? I wouldnt mind if you give your reasons too ASAP pls
Prepare well for your IELTS and write with any of the two. The end.

She isn’t changing employment. She is resigning and like I said if her reference can be verified it doesn’t matter whether or not she informs CIC. The employer will simply inform them that she recently left the organization’s employment but she actually has the 5years work experience stated. There is absolutely nothing wrong or problematic with that. Nobody has gotten refused because they didn’t inform CIC that they resigned. People get refused when the reference letters they submit cannot be verified.
It’s a choice to report anyway So whichever one helps the OP sleep better at night. . cc Deeshe1
Modified: now that I think of it, I didn’t even inform CIC that I resigned from my last job but guess who’s already in Canada working?
ednut1:
You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests. If you are reporting a change in contact information, it will take 5 business days for it to be updated. During this time you should continue to monitor your old contact information.

As long as your current employer can verify your employment if he gets called by CIC, there’s really no need for all that explanation to CIC. You have 5 years work experience under your belt, you could decide to not work anymore till you land Canada and you’ll still be fine.

Deeshe1:
Hello Guys,

Have a little concern, I am 5th of March AOR and my application will be 6 months by 5th September.
I intend resigning from my office by the end of this month July, decision was made because my employer is aware of my application for canada PR and he has already hired my replacement to handover.
I also want to take the remaining time prior to my application approval to start preparing for my NCA licensing exam in canada being in a regulated profession.

My question: Is it ok for me to resign before getting PPR, I hope it wont affect my application.
I intend raising a CSE to inform CIC immediately i resign with explanations.
And I already have over 5 years of working experience which makes me eligible Pre ITA and Post AOR.

thanks.

You people really don’t read and it’s so sad. You just want to be spoon fed. The answer to this question is literally on the same page in which you asked it.

Morning Cally people, pls elders in the house: i work in a bank where I have put in over four years but I may be leaving to another sector before year end. Can I request for reference letter from my HR and keep? I'm still at IELTS stage written twice but planning to rewrite again soon. I have my ECA ready. Does the reference letter have an expiry or validity period if I request for it now?
You can get it now, as long as the letter can be verified, the date doesn’t really matter. Plus you’re pretty close to submission so no issues.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by GozyNA: 8:41am On Jul 09, 2019
-Your direct supervisor can give you a reference letter. He can attach his call card to it so if CIC needs to get in touch they’ll have his details. If you get the letter now it’ll be less than one year for NYSC so wait till the very last day of service.
-Don’t worry about the N19,800 you were paid. CIC is familiar with the scheme so no issues.
-Claim points for one year internship and one year NYSC giving you a total of two years work experience. For the locum you did, add them to personal history since you won’t be claiming points from them.

Hello everyone, i am new to this thread, really i have been thinking of relocating but the fear of leaving my job and relocating is just the obstacle here. i am married with a child, but i just don't want to relocate with my family and then put them in a situation where we start struggling. i am a professional, i once moved to the UK for my master after which i got a job but during the recession was laid off and had to restore to doing a care job which i did for one year and moved back to Nigeria where i got a job. So this is what i am trying to avoid, please is there anyone out there that could be of guide i will really appreciate it.
Honestly, I don’t think anyone here can guide you in any way since you clearly haven’t decided on relocating.
