My Sony Xperia z5 compact retired yesterday after 3yrs of active service. Decided to give Xiaomi a try as i have been impressed by their phones and affordability. I chose to go for the Mi Max2, would have preferred something more recent but i must confess, these phones are hard to come by if you dont live in Lagos and i dont have the patience to order.

So far so good, i am loving it. But this phone is huge, after 24hrs of use, i tried looking at my xperia z5c. I just couldnt comprehend how i managed to stare at such a small screen for 3yrs!! Did i mention the battery on this beast; 5300mah, bigger than batteries on some tablets. I already updated to Miui 10, next is unlocking bootloader and rooting. I dont mind some tips on custom roms although i am on Global rom and loving it so far.

I have joined the Xiaomi family.

Nr b lie, the packaging and build of my hybrid iv na diee, I still keep am for my archives, I just wish they can get it right with sound quality, still remains my most comfortable earphone ever.

Thanks. Got my first xiaomi last year and I'm really in love with the brand. I checked out Uiisii and Memt and it equally has good reviews but much fewer sales. I just need a very good one that I can use for quite a while. I'd might settle just for the Xiaomi

Number of sales is not a projection of how good a product is. I have used the Xiaomi piston 3 and also the Xiaomi Hybrid iv, they are no where near the above listed products as far as sound quality is concerned. Well, there's no harm testing waters grin

I'm looking to get both an earphone and a headphone. I really need something nice,cost effective and with good quality. Was initially looking between the Rock Zircon and Xiaomi Piston for the earphone. But the reviews I'm getting are confusing hence my bringing it here. l also came across the Xiaomi Hybr8d Pro/HD. Any reviews?

I'd really need your advice on this.

Get the uiisii hm7, cost effective and durable so far, sound quality is great too. Xiaomi Hybrid Pro /HD is not that cheap, at that price you can get some better offerings from other oems like Memt, KZ, etc.

Yeh! My bad something hovering between 3k to 6k was my budget. But good to know all the same.

Just buy two, ensure the uiisii is among them. Using both the uiisii hm7 and the Memt x5s na confusion sometimes grin

, I use them interchangeably. You can try the KZ too if money nr b issue.

I am a freelancer and I currently use the note 4x, I want to upgrade to something slightly better due to some personal reasons. Now, I'm torn between the note 7 and iPhone 7.all I need in a phone is a big screen and decent battery. Which one should I go for?

No one was ever going to recommend the products you mentioned here. Since money is not a problem, you can look at the Redmi note 7, the Pocophone fi, or the Mi Max 3. Note that any of these will outperform 4500mah devices from the OEMS you mentioned.

The oracle has spoken, pick the Redmi note 7 and don't look back, it's better than the Mi Max 3 in terms of camera, processor, build, aesthetics and software version.

You have to check out that particular shop rom on miui forum and other sites if people experienced any problem trying to flash the official rom, then it will be safer to flash.

its on miui rom
not rooted or bootloader unlocked
the issue is that its going off at anytime
and it doesn't come on till its plugged in a charger
what d way out... would normal power key n volume button flashing do the trick??
