dabossman: Er, the goodluck has worked for GEJ. Its other people who experience the bad luck.

POW!
Christianity EtcRe: Do Names Actually Have Effect On One's Life? by GraceBestowed(f):
LesbianBoy: Goodluck jonathan = Badluck.......so u see @Topic Names have no positive effect on ones life!
nairaman66: Sometimes it does.. Most times it has failed. I am using GOODLUCK as a case in point!
Can I just say; even though you consider him as 'Badluck', he has done pretty well for HIMSELF, personally.

He was made the president, first time around without a general election, he can do whatever he wants etc. He is generally, 'lucky' to still be president, so that name is working for him, dude (even though it's killing a nation).
Christianity EtcRe: Do Names Actually Have Effect On One's Life? by GraceBestowed(f):
I believe it does! Simply because you are what you believe! If your name triggers positive reinforcement, you have one less life wahala to worry about.

Imagine being called 'blanket', growing up, that mustn't have been easy, because children can be cruel, and must have taunted that child; that is negative reinforcement, and would have, most definitely, left bad memories! Growing memories form one's personality!

All this is practical (a psychological explanation), I can also explain the spiritual route, but eh, we'll leave it there!

This, as I always say, is my two cents worth!

As my name states, I am bestowed with grace! (^_^)

I lived in Kaduna at the time, so I don't know if it was a national or regional, thing. I remember the NTA theme songs that were dominated by talking drums.
Music/RadioRe: Which Music Evokes Fond Memories In You? by GraceBestowed(f):
^^ I vividly remember the old NTA theme songs ^^
Music/RadioRe: Which Music Evokes Fond Memories In You? by GraceBestowed(f):
This song for me is a mash up of 'Here's My Worship' and 'Better Is One Day' ~ this is a song that has brought tears to my eyes numerous times.

It's a worship song (as you may have imagined), and ALWAYS brings down the presence of God!

If you can, listen to it! Amazing stuff!
RomanceRe: Getting A YES After A NO. by GraceBestowed(f):
Ok, sounds like you are a decent guy, girls appreciate this!

I don't know if your feelings have changed drastically, towards these girls, in the last month, but the best thing to do is not to rush into any thing with anyone of them.

My advice: if you want to turn them all down, and find another girl, by all means, do so. An alternative is to be honest with all of them, tell them the situation, and hang out with each if them, till you are sure of who you'd like to spend time with permanently.

By 'hang out' I don't mean sleep with, that's unnecessary!

I'm not a Beyoncé fan either, there are too many anomalies in her success story. I'm fine on this side of the fence!

I am not the one to start a war of words with, I'll just ignore you!

Enjoy your morning!

HealthRe: Facts About Malaria!! by GraceBestowed(f):
Malaria is a deadly disease, we do not place so much emphasis on its danger, because we, as Nigerians, have grown with it! This has been both a gift and a curse!

I cannot tell you how many times I've had malaria, and thank God I did, because my immune system's defence against the disease is now stronger than ever. In western countries, once they get the whiff of malaria on a patient, it's straight up quarantine!

I'll digress a bit, and say in all honesty; if you can survive anything in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere else. I say this positively!
RomanceRe: Church Girls!... Is It That Bad? by GraceBestowed(f):
Wow!! Just UNREAL!! As a 'sister Gloria' (as you so affectionately put it), I have enough experience to say that you're generalising!

I go to church, and am very active within the church setting, and can say that no man has EVER put his hands on me, in the secret or in the open, since I got saved; and until I'm married, no man ever will (even if he's riding on a golden rainbow)! I hardly even give hugs!!

You cannot judge a farm's worth by a few bad crops! I know a lot of girls in my church that are virtuous as well!

So, OP, in response to your question, no it's not *that* bad!
HealthRe: My Phobia For People With Mental Illness: Reply To Adebola Rayo by GraceBestowed(f):
Mhen, God help us all! There are even some people that give off the most sane vibe, but are torn all the way up inside, as in, having certified mental issues!

I'm like the OP, I always want to do my best to help people out, to get them out of certain situations, but there are just some things we cannot help with - mental illness is one of those things!

We live, and we learn!

RomanceRe: Pls Help, Am Addicted To Prostitutes by GraceBestowed(f):
It is easy to just say "stop it, and save money", but this is a habit that has been 11 years in the making; naturally, habits are very hard to break!

The fact that you've posted on here means that you've realised your issues, and want to sort it out, that's always the first step.

I suggest you come clean to the girlfriend, you might lose her, but she might also help you through this. I can see a valid reason for wanting to stop this habit, you're trying to save; start a project, something that can occupy you, something that needs funds.

Please don't jump into a marriage, just to feel sexual satisfaction, unless you're complete as a person, no other living thing/person on this earth can complete you, and this cycle will continue!

Humour me, and whisper "God, please help me break this habit" (do it sincerely). You have nothing to lose.

It's not going to take one day to change, and whenever you mess up, don't lose faith, just pick yourself up, and keep trying your best to become a better man, one deserving of a good woman.

You can do anything you put your mind to, as long as you draw breath, you have hope.

I hope I've helped! (^_^)
FashionRe: Rachel Edjeren Haunted By Indian Hair She Fixed by GraceBestowed(f):
Ok, give me a break!! You think all those 'Indian', 'Peruvian', & 'Brazilian' hair you buy for a 'measly' £500 is from somebody's head!? Real hair, from peoples' heads cost thousands and thousands of pounds!

For a wig, it takes more than 12 people to donate their unprocessed hair, and costs thousands to process & sew. The cost of a really good, real human hair, wig is nothing less than £5,000.

The woman that was being chased in her dreams should seek help, her problem is not solely from having hair extensions!

This is my two cents worth!
