I feel deeply sorry for Tiwa but nobody knows what went on there. I hope they can peacefully come together to raise their child. Now her husband has 4 kids, he should step up and be responsible for those kids. Someone with 4 Kids is busy making useless purchases while those money could be saved up for them kids. What are his short and long term plan for his kids? I just tire ... When God has blessed u with a child, that responsibility becomes more important than your needs. Divorce or no Divorce, their child shouldn't suffer for their mistakes. 4 Likes |

Some people are just the principalities we are praying against. The hide in plain sight. They eat and dine with you... You confide in them, They could be friends, mentors, family etc. They identify with you in circumstances you can't explain. I have stopped praying for protection from people far from me, I make prayers of protection against people I see everyday, those who stare me in the face. It's only an enemy at home that told the one outside where to hurt you the most. What goes around comes around..just a matter of time. 1 Like 1 Share |

Some men have serious ego issues. Everything is a problem. Some just like creatin problem where there is none. 6am is late? SMH. Pray with her before bedtime and in the morning. What happened to couples vigil, intercessory prayers or have u not read that the prayer of 2 or more is a prayer of pure agreement? Can we also hear where she does well or are men on NL just interested in the flaws of their partners? When u swap places with people who are dealing with irresponsible spouse, you will continually thank God for the one you have. Ekwu si gom. 12 Likes |

cococandy: @cococandy Thank you so much. I have silently followed all your mouth watering dishes and it helped me through out my pregnancy. Since I don't have energy to cook neither did I have much appetite, I found a way to slay cravings. I would wake up 2,3 am just to check out the latest food u made. I would look at it and the cravings would stop. Since my husband can't cook, he would equally salivate with me. Getting african food where I am is just difficult since we live hours away from the city so I make do with what I have. This is to appreciate you for the sumptuous meals u prepared and was kind enough to share the pictures. The presentation of those meals had me on food presentation 101. Had my baby a week a go and the cravings stopped but I have come to say thank you cos you saved a life, we'll 2 lives.....lol. Dalu. Chukwu gozie gi. Culture / Re: If You Don't Have 500,000naira, You CANT Marry From Nsukka (pic Proof) by Gracious10: 1:30pm On Nov 21, 2015 |
Whenever I see topics like this,I really get angry cos all I see is greed and pure extortion all in the name of marriage and the annoying part is that these ladies are not speaking out against it yet they are the ones suffering from being long over due for marriage. Why will someone present such list knowing fully well that thats pure extortion. What's the competition about? Or what are they trying to prove? If you are asking for such amount on a marital relationship, are still expecting the groom to invest in the girls family, ? People don't understand that good things don't end but how u start such a relationship determines if you still continue to benefit from that marital relationship. So if they are paid huge amount of money now and the man refuses to help any member of that family in future, will he be blamed? I say NO! Greedy people are so short sighted that they think of now instead of the future. What's the lady in question bring to the table in this marriage? Is she financially buoyant to contribute to this marriage if things fall apart? Because coughing out 500,000 to 2 million in one single event is staggering, it's not for the middle class, it's for the rich especially in Nigeria. Where the man has enough to pay out of honesty not some foolish ego, he can do that. Marriage is not when the parents start dreaming of using the money to purchase a land, show off to neighbors, but a time to pray for the success of that marriage who knows that's where the lifting starts. Reasonable in-laws are priceless, they command respect even in their poor state because they are not clouded by greed but ruled by principles. Ladies, that the man didn't pay millions of naira doesn't mean he won't treat you right. Don't be a tool to financial bondage of your would be husband. Know his pocket size and help start your home on financial freedom. Nobody wants a debtor as husband where you hide your head in shame when people disrespects your husband. Help him keep his head above water. Speak out against bride price extortion, it doesn't help. I am igbo by the way so I know what am saying. Dalu. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is the best topic on nairaland because these are everyday pressing issues which people have refused to see it for what it is. Nobody has the right to pressurize anyone into marriage. Nigerians have that tendency to be in your business when it's obviously not their place to speak. Single or married is no one's biz. Live and let live. 3 Likes 1 Share |
Romance / Re: 5 Little Things That Make Him Lose Interest In You. by Gracious10: 12:13am On Sep 19, 2015 |
PunkyVeer: We'll, this maybe another reason why this guy is acting this way. Some men can't stand being alone, that means they just can't stand not having a companion. They want to tell themselves that some woman must be interested in them at all times, they feed off the attention we give them. When u stop calling or texting, he will come back for it cos that's what feeds their ego, they must be relevant. These kind of men wants a companion but hates committed relationships. Settling down for this kind of a person is difficult cos he must be relevant in the relationship market and you aren't the only one reaching out to him. He's got option A,B, C... just walk now and never look back. He's a time waster. |
Family / Re: Exclusive Breastfeeding: Challenges, Criticism, Experiences & Temptations by Gracious10: 11:36pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
Congratulations on deciding to exclusively breast feed. That's a very huge and rewarding job. You have to be very determined to do that and its very good u have support system. I did exclusive breastfeeding for 8months and its was really hard. Thank God for Hubby who supported me all the way. Sometimes, I just want to sleep but the baby must be fed. So I thank God for breast pump. I did more of expressing the milk than feeding him directly, I also had excessive production of milk that he never lacked milk. I refrigerated them with time and dates labeled. I never breastfed outside since I always carry the expressed milk with me. If you use the breast pump u have to pump every 3-4 hours so you will have continuous milk production. Also eat very well and drink lots of fluid, I had more of fresh juiced fruits and vegetables , if u eat healthy, baby won't have issues with bowel movements, although breastfed babies don't poo like formula fed ones cos their body uses almost every thing since breastmilk is easily digested. You can't compare babies weight with other babies, every child grows at its own pace. In 3weeks, I went back to my pre-pregnancy state and my tummy flat so breastfeeding is good for yiu and the baby.Although I enjoyed the contraceptive side of breastfeeding that I took in 6months after baby's delivery and didn't even know it. You will understand that's its the best you can do for that child. My baby started walking at 10months, never been sick or anyhealth issues. He has developed so well that I am very grateful that I did exclusive breastfeeding. With this one coming, I am doing the same. And sleep when the baby sleeps, it doesn't matter what I was doing, as soon as he sleeps, I just grab position even if na for floor i must sleep oo..lol. Rest up too, u need all the energy you can get because no be small work. So please keep doing this and don't give up. Mommies Rock!! Goodluck. 1 Like |

Anyone dealt with low lying placenta. No bleeding or discharge. 23weeks Third pregnancy, 2 normal live births. Pelvic pain and leg cramps On restrictions, complete pelvic rest, no lifting nor strenuous activities All test came out ok except for low lying placenta although it could move with expansion of the uterus as pregnancy progresses. Just want to know how to deal with the pain. Currently on Tylenol. 1 Like 1 Share |

Family / Re: Is It Advisable To Borrow Money To Complete A Wedding Plans by Gracious10: 4:59pm On Aug 03, 2015 |
Men and their pride. You know u don't have the funds, why embark on a wedding that will clean up ur account? Whats wrong in inviting 20-30 people for your wedding? Must it be elaborate? What's important is that u got wedded. This is the reason why people impose financial bondage on themselves. You should show ur inlaws how ur pocket is from day one. If they are considerate, they wont expect much from you. Moreover the lady is still in school, if you are the one footing her education, you should please take it easy with funds because money is vital in marriage. Do what you can do, if that woman is for you, she will definitely understand and work with you. 2 Likes |
Family / Re: 7 Facts About Bride Price That Will Shock You. by Gracious10: 12:22am On Aug 02, 2015 |
Well, tell that to igbo parents who are already banking on that bride price to buy a piece of land, car and even show off to their competitors that their daughter brought home a money bag. Oh believes it when I say the competition among families on who pays higher for their daughters is real. Talk about the size of cows, goats and chickens brought for the marriage rite. They do compare and contrast. Sometimes, most parents are more interested in monetary gain than instructing their daughter on what to expect in marriage. As long as the man is emptying his pocket, proper counseling of would be brides are found among number of goats and yams. Igbo culture is beautiful but when it's infested with greed and unnecessary competition, it just hurts. The happiness of their child is most important. Bride price should be collected but not their outrageous over bloated list and bride price. It will be nice if prospective in-laws should hold back on flaunting their wealth. If u make a mistake of meeting ur in-laws with ur high priced cars and flaunting of wealth, then be sure to pay equivalent of what u boasting of. Most people love show off even when they don't have the funds. Be yourself and pau what u can. If u have a billion dollars to pay on bride price pls bring it on. But bride price shouldnt be a get rich quick pathway for parents. 1 Like |

Always angry and dfficult to convince. He's a great provider, family oriented, faithful,Godfearing and cares for his family. How can this anger issue be handled or better still dealt with? |

If you have to disagree with me, kindly do that respectfully. I have no problem if your opinion is different from mine, that's how people learn and grow. Please try to find out if your state has an Islamic school/ islamic center. Also find out how its funded. Then figure out the number of Muslims there compared with other southeast states. If nothing comes up, Google can also help. My posts on this issue is not to degrade Ebonyi but to state what I know and air my opinion. If you took it wrongly, then its yours to defend.
