He is going to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a proven investor, a human capacity builder, a man who has given everything for the benefit of his people, a man who has accepted to be deprived of everything to save the soul of his people, and as a man who advanced in wealth without occupying any government position and always ready to defend the course of Ndị Igbo. With the various potentials which can boost tourism, trade, commerce, hospitality, education, national integration and other indices of growth, past and current senators have not given the good people of Anambra South what they bargained each time voters undergo extreme discomfort to cast their votes.

Nnewi which is a commercial hub that can boost industrialization in Anambra and beyond remains a reference point for industrialization only on paper and board room presentations. Nowhere else. This must stop being the case and the time is now.

Past senators from Anambra south failed but Ifeanyi Ubah will redefine leadership and excel. He will change the narrative and set new standards.

He will deliver good governance to the people of Anambra south because he has shown and continued to show a peculiar commitments grassroot development in Igbo land starting from Anambra.

Capital Oil and Gas Ind Ltd. reacts to AMCON's Publication, says AMCON is in contempt of court commits libel and defamation of character during the subsistence of valid court judgment against AMCON.

Capital Oil and Gas has reacted to AMCON's publication where the corporation named Capital Oil and Gas as one of its delinquent debtors.

In a press statement made available to several media outfits, Capital Oil and Gas expressed surprise at the fact that despite various court orders and judgments obtained by Capital Oil and Gas against AMCON and the discussions that have been going on, AMCON will again publish Capital Oil and Gas' name as well as that of its Managing Director as one of its delinquent debtors, an action which is deemed contemptuous and libellous.

The press statement reads:

Our attention has been to an advertisement placed by AMCON in several Nigerian newspapers on the 22nd of October 2018 titled LIST OF DELINQUENT DEBTORS.

We are surprised that, despite various court orders and judgments obtained by CAPITAL OIL AND GAS IND. LTD. and its Managing Director, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah against AMCON and the discussions that have been ongoing, AMCON will again publish the name of our company and our Managing Director on any list of its debtors for the following reasons:

1. The relationship between AMCON and Capital Oil and Gas is regulated by a consent judgment entered by the Federal High Court in 2013 in Suit No. *FHC/ABJ/CS/714/2012*.

2. In compliance with the consent judgment, Capital Oil and Gas provided AMCON with assets valued at over N78 Billion.

3. In consideration of the aforesaid, AMCON was required by the Consent judgment to infuse funds into Capital Oil and Gas in the sum of about 150 Billion Naira in 2013 after which Capital Oil and Gas will repay the restructured facility over a period of 9 years.

4. However, AMCON has failed to comply with the Consent Judgment in breach of the principle of the rule of law.

5. Instead of injecting the required trading funds into Capital Oil and Gas, AMCON took several steps to run the company aground leading to multiple lawsuits between Capital Oil and Gas and AMCON.

6. AMCON deliberate deleterious acts did not abate; rather it commenced winding up proceedings against Capital Oil and Gas in suit no. *SUIT NO: FHC/L/CP/506/2016* upon the imaginary and false claim that the company was indebted to AMCON.

7. The Court at first issued freezing orders on Capital Oil and Gas’ accounts, but when the facts were laid bare before it, the Federal High Court presided by Hon. Justice M.B Idris (now Justice of the Court of Appeal) in its judgment delivered on the 6th of May 2016 struck out the winding up proceedings and set aside the freezing orders against Capital Oil and Gas accounts.

8. AMCON appealed the subsisting judgment of the Federal High Court before the Court of Appeal, Lagos division in *APPEAL NO: CA/L/697/2016*. The Appeal is still pending before the Court of Appeal.

9. When it became apparent that AMCON would not, on its own, comply with the consent judgment, Capital Oil and Gas was constrained to approach the Federal High Court in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/514/2015 to determine the question of whether Capital Oil and Gas is indebted to AMCON and whether AMCON was legally bound to inject trade finance into Capital Oil and Gas pursuant to the consent judgment in suit no. FHC/ABJ/CS/714/2012.

10. In a well-considered judgment delivered on the 3rd of October 2016, the Court presided by Hon. Justice A. Abdu-Kafarati (now Chief Judge) found as a fact that Capital Oil and Gas was not indebted to AMCON, rather AMCON in its usual deceit deliberately deprived Capital Oil of trade finance facility meant to revamp Capital Oil and Gas lucrative petroleum business as contained in the consent judgment. The Honourable Court then proceeded to order AMCON to pay Capital Oil and Gas N26 billion trading funds and restrained AMCON from taking steps with regards to Capital Oil and Gas and Dr. Ubah respective assets. AMCON till date is yet to comply with the judgment. *That judgment is still subsisting and has not been set aside.*

11. As matters presently stand, AMCON is indebted to Capital Oil and Gas at the minimum, the sum of 26 Billion Naira; this is definitely without taking into consideration the sums (about 44 Billion Naira of under-recoveries due from the Central Bank of Nigeria/Debt Management Office to Capital Oil and Gas) that AMCON illegally seized, damage done by AMCON to Capital Oil and Gas’ infrastructure and business reputation during AMCON’s illegal takeover of the administration of Capital Oil and Gas in 2013, the interest, inflationary and valuation differentials on the trade finance AMCON was required by the consent judgment to provide Capital Oil since 2013.

12. Recently, discussions have ensued between AMCON and Capital Oil and Gas to resolve the impasse and it is in the midst of this that AMCON has now published the libelous list in which it falsely alleged that Capital Oil and Gas is a delinquent debtor.

13. It is disheartening that AMCON who submitted to the authority of the Court of Appeal in seeking to appeal the subsisting judgment, has now made a volte-face by taking laws into its hands, defying the hallowed doctrine of rule of law, proceeding to make false, misleading and contemptuous publication and therein threatening to forcefully take over assets of Capital Oil and Gas and Dr. Ubah, an exercise deliberately aimed at overreaching the pending appeal and undermining the judiciary.

14. The said publication is contemptuous of the subsisting judgment of the Federal High Court in suit no. *FHC/ABJ/CS/514/2015* and a flagrant disregard to the nobility and majesty of the Court of Appeal, Lagos division, which is fully seized with *APPEAL NO: CA/L/697/2016*.

15. This is again additional proof, if any was needed, of the vulnerability of Nigerian institutions (which ordinarily should be above the political fray) to political manipulation and desperation.

16. We condemn the said publication as containing no scintilla of truth. The publication belies of good faith and clearly targeted at this election peak to douse the rising, intimidating and promising electoral profile of Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah who is known to be desirous of serving his community and country politically, even as he has done commercially, providing employment in his enterprises for over 1,000 Nigerians.

We have therefore passed the contemptuous, false and libelous publication on to our Solicitors and AMCON will soon hear from them.

In the meantime, we urge Nigerians to ignore this falsehood.

THE UNTOLD STORY

It is no longer news that Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, a frontline aspirant for the 2019 Anambra South Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was unjustly disqualified in an immodest manner from the contest barely 5 hours before the party's primary on the premise that he did not apply to obtain party waiver.

Notwithstanding the fact that Section 8 (b) of the same party constitution had granted Dr. Ubah the privilege to be granted waiver due to his immense contributions in consolidating and sustaining the party both in the past and in the present yet, he was disenfranchised from exercising his civil rights;

Section 8 (b) reads: "the National Working Committee of the party shall have the discretionary power to grant Waiver of the provisions of sub paragraph (a) above as it deems necessary in any circumstance"

What are Ifeanyi Ubah's Contributions?

Payment for all the offices used by APGA nationwide.
Provided all the logistics needed to sustain the party leadership of Sen. Victor Umeh during the days of his leadership struggle with former Gov. Peter Obi.
Was begged by Gov. Obiano and other top party stakeholders to commit everything he has to deliver Anambra South to Gov. Obiano during his re-election campaign of 2017 through his movement, Afaigboefuna which he did and birthed 21 over 21, amongst other contributions till date.

On 13th of September, 2018, Dr. Ubah has, through the National Working Committee of the party, addressed a letter to the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Oye requesting to obtain a waiver for him to be eligible to contest since he must have been a member of the party for at least 18 months. The letter was received and acknowledged on the 17th of September, 2018 by Nwabueze Ugom (08032291414). On a sad note, Dr. Ubah was disqualified a night before the party primary for the Senatorial seat.

It is important to note that despite the “automatic ticket”promised him by Gov. Obiano which the governor later reneged, Dr. Ubah who is a devoted member of the party has continued to cement, fence and roof his grassroot principle through familiarization tours, consultations and one-on-one chats with members and stakeholders of the party. He has always reiterated his will to support any candidate that will emerge through a transparent, free and fair primary.

THE STORY UNTOLD

The indefatigable, resilient and tenacious, Dr. Ubah, a refined CEO, a successful International Entrepreneur and an investor is known for his capacity. His capacity in human capital development stretches to provision of jobs, community development, wealth creation, philanthropic and youth development. He is known in delivering and achieving excellence in whatever position he finds himself.

APGA knows the aspirants that will comfortably win elections for the party at the general poll therefore, it should not be seen fielding a candidate who will defeat a "certain APC candidate" in the forthcoming poll, hence, the reason why the party hierarchy threw their support to a "Lady" and got Dr. Ubah disqualified in order to pave way for a "certain APC candidate"

In a bid to certify the undisclosure agreement signed by APGA leadership and a "certain APC candidate" during the last gubernatorial election where the latter worked against the candidate of his party; Hon. Tony Nwoye in order to deliver Gov. Willie Obiano for a second term, Dr. Ubah was unjustly disqualified even after the screening committee has screened and qualified him in accordance with the party constitution and electoral guidelines.

Some of the cogent questions begging for honest answers would be:
Did Dr. Ubah not due diligence in his eligibility to contest the primary?
Did he not apply for a waiver which was acknowledged by the party official?
On what basis was Dr. Ubah disqualified?
Is it constitutionally and morally right to disqualify Dr. Ubah?
Is Dr Ubah’s disqualification a sign of corrupt internal democracy?
What is the hidden intentions by some party officials to take such a decision against Dr. Ubah?
Was there a grand plot to remove Dr. Ubah from the way in order to impose an unpopular candidate on the party?
What is the way forward for APGA to prove that all aspirants were given equal and level playing field in this primary?

With all the recent happenings going on under the leadership of the current chairman and BoT members, one wonders if some few elements want to sabotage the efforts of APGA in clinching viable political seats come 2019.

For all those critics who have been throwing stones at Dr. Ubah on the ground that he should have applied for party waiver, this is just to clear the air as the truth can never be hidden. The evidence is right before you, so you can now judge for yourselves.

APGA AND THE BLUNDER CALLED, DR PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH'S DISQUALIFICATION.

FOR THE RECORDS.

On 13 September 2018 Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah wrote a letter addressed to the party's National Working Committee through the party's National Chairman, applying for waiver from the party, the letter was received & acknowledged by one Mr nwabueze U. on 17th September 2018, and under the party basic norms he has done the needful towards obtaining the party waiver, upon doing the needful he proceeded to purchase the party's nomination for the Anambra south senatorial primary, The party National working committee set up a screening committee in accordance with the party's constitution and electoral act, they screened all the candidates and found Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to be absolutely eligible and immensely qualified to take part in the party's primary.

After the screening exercise, the party fixed a date for the primaries, all of sudden some stereo typed group within with party hijacked the process because of their personal interests against the will of the masses, that was when two days to the election Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was disqualified from contesting in the primary for some reasons best know to those who hijacked the party. .

This shows that there is high level of impunity within the party, and they conspired to disqualify a highly qualified candidate and a party faithful for personal reasons best know to them. But in the end the truth will always win and it will definitely end in praise.

WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS DR PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH?

Despite all the betrayals, backstabbing, disappointment, deception and disenfranchisement by the leadership of APGA to him, he still went ahead to recognize and reward some Local Government and Ward Executives of the party, who have been faithful and loyal to the party for the past Ten years, but have never been appreciated by the party's leaderships, including the State Governor who doubles as the leader and BOT Chairman Of the Party.
He single handedly rewarded all the Local Governments Women Leaders, Youth Leaders and Secretaries of APGA in the SEVEN LGA that made up the Anambra South Senatorial Zone with a mini bus each. Also rewarded were the Local Government Chairmen of APGA in IHIALA, AGUATA, ORUMBA SOUTH AND ORUMBA NORTH Local Government Areas with a SUV JEEP each.
Just few days ago, he rewarded all the ward Secretaries of APGA in the 119 wards of Anambra South Senatorial Zone with a brand new motorcycle each.

I can't stop supporting Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
I stand with the man with a heart of gold.

Days after empowering 119 party secretaries from the 119 wards of Anambra South, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the Chief Promoter of Afaigboefuna and Senator hopeful of Anambra South 2019, on Sunday, empowered officials of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) with 21 minibuses and 4 SUV jeeps. Dr. Ubah handed the 21 mini buses to the party’s local government seven women leaders, seven secretaries and seven youth leaders, and four SUV Jeeps to the four local government Chairmen in the Senatorial District at his Umuanuka Residence in Otolo Nnewi, said the donation was borne out of his desire to assist the beneficiaries in the discharge of their duties.

The four local government party Chairmen that benefited are; Orumba North, Orumba South, Aguata and Ihiala.

May God keep blessing Dr. Ubah, a man with a heart of gold.

DR PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH AND APGA'S INJUSTICE, ENOUGH OF IT.

Before we proceed to bring down the facts for you, we should always remember that, "ONE GOOD TURN DESERVES ANOTHER" (onye olu nwelu ugwo)
The Truth will always prevail against the forces of evil.

1. 2012 APGA LEADERSHIP CRISES.

If we could remember vividly well, in 2012 the then sitting Governor wanted to hand over the structures of the party to Maxi Okwu with the help a kangaroo judgement he obtained from an Enugu High Court. Thereby removing Sir Victor Umeh as APGA National Chairman.
That was when Senator Victor Umeh through chief Austine Ndigwe ran to Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for help, and without wasting time, and because his love for the party, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah decided to use his vast resources to help Senator Victor Umeh regain his place as the party authentic chairman against the wish of the then governor and his Allies who wanted to destroy the party.
Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah hired and financed Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and other highly rated Lawyers that fought immensely to make sure that the Appeal court gave back the mandate of the party's leadership to Sir Victor Umeh,
On this note it is worth knowing that Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah have being fighting for APGA and its members to make sure that "AFA IGBO EFUNA"
It is this APGA structures that Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah fought for singlehandedly that has made this party even stronger.
During the retreat organized by the party for all its various aspirants, Sir Victor Umeh said this about Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah "I wish to make it clear that I am delighted to have Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah back in APGA family, I wish to also thank him for contributing immensely at a time in 2012 when the former Governor Peter Obi, who benefited from APGA decided to fight the leadership of this party.
At a time, we had no money to face a sitting governor so a good lover of APGA, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah contributed a lot to help us save APGA. I must thank him for helping us at a time we needed help most"

2. PRIOR TO NOV. 18th 2017 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION.

If we could go down memory lane to the last gubernatorial election in our state, at a point when the stakes where high and the odds were against the incumbent Governor, he ran to Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and pleaded for his help, begging him to use his resources to help the Governor to be reelected,
We could all recall that Dr Ifeanyi Ubah accepted his proposal because he puts the interest of the party above all personal gains,
We saw how APGA came back to life the moment Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah joined the campaign for Governor Wille Obiano, He used his radio station, newspaper and Stadium to campaign, and also donated so many materials to people of the state for the sake of APGA and the Governor, he also single handedly financed all this projects for the sake of the party.
The Anambra South Grand finale campaign for the Governor at his Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium to round up the campaign was something else that Governor Wille Obiano said that he has regained his confidence and out of joy of what he saw that day, he started telling those close to him that he has won the election.

3. 2019 APGA AND ANAMBRA SOUTH SENATORIAL ZONE SENATE PRIMARY.

We could recall that Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah declared his intentions to run for Senate before any other aspirant declared his or her intention.
It wasn't surprising the way the people of the Senatorial Zone supported his plans by trouping out in mass to support him where ever he went to make his intention known, as the people clearly saw him as one who has fought for the party and state at large.
Despite all this efforts for the party in all ramifications, he was screened out for the reason best known to the party executives.

4. MISSION CONTINUES FOR IFEANYI UBAH DESPITE RECENT PARTY SETBACK.

Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah the founder of the famous (AFA IGBO EFUNA) group and Anambra south senatorial hopeful, gave out 119 motorcycles to 119 APGA wards secretaries, in line with his empowerment program for the party. Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah handed over the motorcycles to the wards secretaries at his senatorial district home in Umuanuka otolo Nnewi, he said the donation was borne out of his desire to assist the beneficiaries in the discharge of their duties.

Despite recent political provocation and disenfranchisement, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the founder of famous AfaIgboEfuna group and Anambra South Senator hopeful, on Wednesday, this evening, empowered officials of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) with one hundred and nineteen motorcycles. Dr. Ubah who handed the brand new 119 motorcycles to the party’s secretaries of the one hundred and nineteen wards in the Senatorial District at his country home, Umuanuka in Otolo Nnewi, said the donation was borne out of his desire to assist the beneficiaries in the discharge of their duties.

Lots indeed have been said in regard the Anambra South senatorial election which is the mother of all contests. It has become one of the stiffest contests of all the senatorial zones because of the key players; capacity and ability required for one to participate fully in the politicking. Many of the contestants have come with promises, visions and manifestos but if we must count on what is obtainable I must confess that Dr. Ubah looks more prepared, endowed with excess capacity, deeply connected and battle ready to displace and dismantle the status quo.

For this reason alone APGA as party must ensure that a level playing ground is guaranteed for a free and fair primaries which is what Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has been yearning for. We must beware of APC promises of 2015 which we believed and it was later proved to be but lies. That is why every aspirant must be asked what he/she have done so far that could serve as a pointer that if he/she get to the red chamber he/she could consolidate on already visible efforts. APC wanted to grab power and when they succeeded could not fathom how to manage it.

Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has shown beyond reasonable doubt that he has serious business that is people and regional oriented in the red chambers and he has continued to assure that he cannot renege in focusing his attention to achieve those plans. Some of these are projects he has already started already and only improve or advance them at the red chamber. You cannot compare him with someone that has little or nothing on the table to improve or advance.

YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT:

This has been mentioned on uncountable occasions that no investor or philanthropist has dared the level Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has gone in youth empowerment. In fact Dr. Ubah is the reason why many politicians now try hard to empower the youths (Something they have ignored for years). But Dr Patrick Ifeanyi ubah has succeeded in youth empowerment with his hard-earned money, meaning he can only do more if elected.

It is no more a breaking news the feat Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has achieved with his entrance into the Nigeria Football Federation with his FC Ifeanyi Ubah; he has brought trophies to Anambra, has founded 1Family 1Football project that has gotten ANSFA, NFF, CAF and FIFA approvals. The emergence of FCIU has led to stupendous sports awareness and advancement in our beloved state giving career and employment opportunities to thousand of youths and adults alike in our state. Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has exposed our people to the values, profits and bounteous benefits of football and other sports related career. These opportunities which he has brought for at least 87% of Ndi Anambra will be advanced and evenly connected to outside world if Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah should hopefully be in the red chambers January 2019.

AGITATION FOR BENEFITS FROM OUR OIL AND GAS RESERVES:

Many people have almost forgotten that Anambra was on the verge of being classified as oil producing state, a move which stated during GEJ led administration metamorphosed into the tin air because those we have at the red chambers were rather pursuing personal agendas. But being an oil mogul, indeed Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah will play huge role in oil and gas committee of that national assembly and would advocate for Anambra to be recognized as oil producing states. He will know how to maneuver and negotiate our beloved state into a juicy allocation that would enhance infrastructural development and employment in our beloved state. If you doubt this go and see the dauntless efforts of Sen Ike Ekweremmadu in road projects in his area, same also can be said of Sen Ken Nnamani. This also can be achieved by drawing the attention of executive arms to the plight of your constituencies in motion. This has eluded the people of Anambra South people in the past because of selfish representation. Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has vowed to change the narratives to give the people all inclusive representation.

HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT:

During one of our tours of the projects and plans of Dr. Ubah for Ndi Anambra South, there were series of life elevating plans, visions, mission embarked upon by EBUBECHUKWUZO. I am very sure that those would make some wonderful schemes that would put smiles in faces of Ndi Anambra when such plans will be executed in partnership with the federal govt. This is possibly attainable because Dr. Ubah is a trader that intends to represent the interest of traders. Truthful indeed is the fact that virtual all things are possible and available for grabs for those lawmakers that actually want to improve their people but because of greed, selfishness and timidity our past representative always end up picking crumbs where there is abundance. With capacious population, the people of Anambra South has continued to be sidelined in sharing of federal jobs according to federal quota system. This is mainly because those that were sent there in the past have little or no need for the available jobs. While the slots agitated, negotiated and shared by serious lawmakers, we end up getting nothing. This is why somebody with zeal for job creation should need to be sent to the red chamber so they’d push for more federal job slots for Ndi Anambra South. This can only be achievable with an employer of labor per excellence Dr. Ubah!

There is a post today making the rounds that Ndi Igbos resident in China have endorsed Iyom Bianca Ojukwu. And I asked “On what basis would Ndigbos doing business in China endorse Bianca? What has she done for them? Does Bianca even have any ties with any Ndigbo living and doing business in China?” Politics aside, the people need to know the truth about who is deceiving who?

Chief Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, without doubt, has being a force to reckon with. His human capital development initiative has been seeing to his personal passion of seeking a better life for his people and a surer path for those doing business in Nigeria and abroad especially in China. Thus, his continued supports and investments in those living and doing business in China.

We are all living witnesses to the testimonies of many Ndigbos that have benefited from his corporate social responsibilities through the Ifeanyi Ubah foundation. I thank the organizers of this great event: APGA Retreat and Book Presentation in honour of our great Ikemba Ojukwu and myself in respect of the many legal struggles we went through to save the party.
I led this legal struggle as a National Chairman of APGA for 10years so I know what we went through.
I must say this to you all that I don't hate anybody. I even had to hurt some of my friends in order to save the party. Some one like Prof Soludo was stopped by us in order to save the party and today he still remains with the party .I must commend him .
I also thank those who contributed immensely at a time in 2012 when the former Governor Peter Obi who benefited from APGA decided to fight the leadership of this party.
At a time, we had no money to face a sitting governor so some good lovers of APGA like Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah contributed alot to help us save APGA. I must thank him and others who helped us at a time we needed them most .
When I handed over to Chief Victor Ike Oye,I told him the only problem he will have is finance.
So I thank him for this wonderful initiative to gather support for his wonderful programmes ahead.
Just as our primaries draws nearer ,do your best and make sure the election is free and fare .After this primaries, those who succeeded will hug you,while some of those who lost will hate you.

WHY WE MUST STAND WITH IFEANYI UBAH

I have watched the heated race for the Senatorial Ticket of Anambra South with bemusement and worry. I am bemused at the war of words that has been going on since the aspirants finally drew a line in the sand to signal the beginning of the contest. Well…politics is a war by other means necessary. A war of words hurts no one in the end. It is all politics. But I am worried. I am worried that the arguments and counter arguments have taken our attention away from what we must consider in choosing who will replace Andy Ubah in the Senate. Yes, Andy Ubah has served his term. He did not serve us well. He has earned his rest. We have a duty to ensure that he gets this rest. And we shall tell him “goodbye” with our votes!

Now, with Andy Ubah safely out of the way, what shall we do with Nicholas Ukachukwu, Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu and of course Ifeanyi Ubah? As far as I know, these are the only aspirants in the race. But even so, the other person, a man of immense Nicodemus propensity, has shown his lack of readiness for the game. He confirmed the fears of APGA chieftains when he picked up the PDP nomination form by proxy. So, he has Nicodemusly shut the door on himself with his own hand!

That leaves us with the lady and Ifeanyi Ubah. Make no mistakes about it; these two aspirants have earned the respect of Ndigbo. They have earned the respect of Nigerians too; even that of their worst enemies. Ordinarily, they should present a difficult choice to the electorate. But when we look closely at lady and Ifeanyi, we shall have no doubt as to who should represent us in the senate.

1. Sense of Entitlement vs Solid Achievements: It is not the lady's fault that she was born into a wealthy aristocratic family. But the only trouble with this is that the lady has been insulated from the pains of the ordinary man from birth. She has never had to break sweat to get anything she wanted in life. She had the privilege of the best London education and the superb support of her family to enter a beauty pageant. The lady's life of privilege continued when she got married to our hero. That’s fine. It continued even after our hero's death when she was appointed Nigerian Ambassador to Spain. What we see is an interesting profile of someone whose palm kernel has always been cracked by a benevolent spirit. Splendid! However, this is not an impressive profile of someone who seeks to serve as a representative of the people. For having always led a life of privilege, what does she possibly know about the grim realities of ordinary Nigerian life? Has she walked in the shoes of the poor masses? Has she struggled with the payment of children’s school fees or the payment of rent? Has she ever travelled on Okada or Kekeh or the ramshackle buses that litter our roads? What does she know about being ordinary, powerless and helpless? Can such a person understand and champion the cause of the poor? I don’t think so. But Ifeanyi Ubah came straight from the streets. The son of a poor teacher, there was not enough money to send him to school. He became apprenticed to his master; learned wisdom in the streets, drank from the glorious Igbo communal spirit that has helped our people dominate commerce. Ifeanyi clawed his way to the top by dint of hard work. He had no rich parents or rich in-laws, no godfathers or dream-makers. He is a self-made billionaire. And he knows what it means to move from ashes to classic. He has a perfect understanding of the feelings of the grassroots, their pains and agonies, their dreams and aspirations. He will speak for them with a louder and more convincing voice in the Senate.

2. Igbo-centrism vs arrogant aristocracy – the lady carries herself as the queen of hearts who has quite successfully made the transition to the queen of Ndigbo. This is no mean achievement. She is an aristocrat by birth, by marriage and by natural inclination. Her holidays are spent in the South of France. The blinding lights and opulence of such sceneries are entirely hers. That’s her world. Her birthdays are spent in exclusive resorts where supple palms massage her in the weak autumnal sun of Europe. That’s her life and we are happy for her. But when you are elevated so high above your own people, the best advice is to stay there at the top. The trouble is that lady wants to come down her high horse and do exactly what? Speak for Ndi Anambra South? This is where Ifeanyi Ubah has a clear advantage. No one in recent times has sought to connect with the people and Ndigbo in general with as much zeal and commitment as Ifeanyi Ubah. This young billionaire has touched our passion-points again and again. His enthusiasm bubbles over when he is working behind the scenes to bring Ndigbo and the Yoruba to a roundtable in a ‘handshake across the Niger.’ His enthusiasm is even more infectious when he is driving ‘Afa Igbo Efuna’ to save APGA from imminent death. Ubah is pointedly Igbo-centric. His philanthropy is said to be legendary. His social investments are there for all to see. His efforts to give a new life to youths through sports are something for a scholarly enquiry. Ubah has proven to be just like us; simple, down-to-earth and flaming with a passion to bring out the best in us. There’s no better man or woman to speak for us!

Sincerely, if all it took to represent the masses in nascent democracy like Nigeria were the ability to speak Cambridge English and an arrogant, aristocratic lifestyle that isolates the masses from their leaders, the race for the Senatorial Ticket of Anambra South would be fir the lady to lose. But sadly, it is not. The Legislature is the engine-room of democracy. Whoever emerges in the race to the legislative assembly must be an aspirant that the people have chosen themselves. It must be a true reflection of the will of the people.

And because Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah has no misplaced aristocratic airs, because he does not live in an artificial bubble of privilege that isolates him from the common folks, because he understands the tears and joys of Nigeria’s disposed, I choose to stand with him. And I ask you to stand with him too!

In his speech at the event, Chief Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah refreshed the memories of Ndi Igbo on how the present Governor of Imo state came to power through APGA with the support of some Anambra State stakeholders, himself, Sir Emeka Offor, Chief Austine Ndigwe, Sen Victor Umeh.
He told the Intimidating crowd that AFA IGBO EFUNA has no anointed candidates in Imo state, but will support any one that emerges after the APGA primaries.

The spirit of ONYE AGHA NA NWENNE YA at work again, he is not from Imo state, but he is ready to support the APGA of Imo state.
While others are busy concentrating on their INDIVIDUAL aspirations, he is thinking and working on how to recapture Imo state and other South Eastern States for APGA.
He is doing all these now that he is not yet a SENATOR, what he will do for Ndi Igbo when he becomes a SENATOR can only be imagined.

We must not fail to ask all those aspiring to go and represent Anambra South Senatorial Zone at the Senate come 2019 some very important questions.

Some of them have had the privilege of being a political appointee either at the State or National level, while some have been elected into one political office or the other.

How many Job opportunities have you created?
How many family can proudly say that you gave them a bread winner?
Yes, we must ask them o.

None of them can be bold enough to answer any of the above questions because they are selfish and self centered.
But among them, stands a Messiah, the Moses of our time, who despite the fact that he has never held any political office, and yet he has given to the people more than all the aspirants combined together. (NO BE MOUTH)
He is one of the highest creator and employer of labours in this State, and in Anambra South Senatorial Zone in particular.
