First I must commend you for being a reasonable son, but I wouldn’t advise a cheap cake. Mothers begin to detest sugary things as they age and a cake of 3k would even be pretty unattractive.

I will suggest you look round the house and get her something she needs. Kitchen utensils or appliances works for my mum. You can also get her a fine small purse or those low heeled slippers for church.

If you can cook, giving her a kitchen day off would be a good idea too. If you can’t, you can buy her grilled fish and watch her devour it. Mothers are always bothering about everyone’s stomach and no one pays attention to theirs.

Bro Julius berger or not, one just need to pray not to find oneself in a life or death situation. I remembered last year I Was stranded along omuo -kabba road around 1800. Was going to Kaduna from lag. Had no cash in hand though I had my ATM and my car had issues which doubled the fuel consumption. I filed my tank at ife thinking I will refil in lokoja with pos. I was there for over 1hr stopping every car passing trying to find solution. Las las na one man with a rickety Tercel stop issue me 1k I take go the nearest fuelling station to use pos and fill my car receptacle.

Mine was 2016. Was coming back from school to Lagos and my bus decided to ply obajana- kabba. That was 2016 December when the road was under construction. We almost neared them and it was obvious they are robbers. When we wanted trying to turn but another set was in our back showing there locally made pistol at us. First thing I did was to quickly conceal my idcard inside the bus safe then I threw the camo strap one under chair. I made do away with anything camo on me to avoid stories that touches and I came out head raised down as per prisoner of war standard. The first one asked me to bring my phone etc then it dawned on me I have my picture in camouflage on my wallpaper so I told the mofos I dnt have one. Las las dem go do job with me. Well they brought out the khaya and will ask who get this. Na eyes them wan take rub. And in like 5mins calvary arrived. An army general was going with his escort and immediately they realised whatz happening in front they started shooting in the air. This made the hoodlums scampered for safety in the solace of the bush and the soldiers shot at there direction. The convoy stopped and i identified myself to the officer among the escort. He just laughed that am not learning anything instead of me to disarm them. Lolzz. They were going to akure so no way I can size up.
