ICONEB:
Have you submitted your passport yet? It will be completed when your passport has been stamped by the IRCC.

**A quick question** - just for clarity, maybe unrelated but please bear with us the newbies in this application process.

In Spousal sponsorship visa application form

Schedule A (Background/Declaration)

What does this mean?

*"Enter all names in English and in your native language (for example, Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Korean or Japanese script or Chinese commercial/telegraphic code)."*

Does this concern a Nigerian with a name, example

*Mercy Mara Okon*

Would she need to write Mercy in her native language aswell, or this one would not concern her at all.

Thank you

i think your question is a bit unclear. are you asking about a visitor visa or about spousal sponsorship? as for the visitor visa, you dont need to cancel anything. where you marry is not an issue as long as the certificate is certified and acceptable to canada.

I read somewhere on this thread that you can apply for spousal visa and visitors visa concurrently so I asked if we can update them with our marriage document on the current visitor’s application we have when we apply for spousal visa or cancel it apply for spousal visa + a new visitors visa.

Okay.

Thank you so much for your kind responses. I also have a situation at hand. I live and study in Sweden while my man is a PR in Canada. We have a visitors visa application currently with Ircc that is taking so long (about 10 months now) although he has been visiting with Schengen visa.

Now our families have met each other traditionally in our absence and what is left is court wedding. They gave us the option of having our court wedding in Nigeria or in Sweden, we chose Sweden and the process is ongoing and we plan to use the document to apply for spousal visa.

Now my question is, is it okay we do the wedding in Sweden or Nigeria? Do we need to cancel the current visitors visa application we have and apply for a new one alongside the spousal visa? Or should we just send our marriage certificate and email that explains we are married through webform? Please I need as much input as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed in one way or the other on this group. I have a few questions/concerns.

I applied for my visitor’s visa on 4 March 2023, and did my biometrics on 14th March but my eligibility test is yet to start. I am a Nigerian studying in Sweden.

My travel plan is during summer coz of my studies, first week of June to be precise.

So here are my questions:

Will they answer at the same time they answer people that applied from Nigeria? Usually here in Sweden, decisions come in one month.

Can I email them via form after a month?

I got a message that they don't need additional documents from me. Should I be worried about that?

I'm so worried coz we booked flights already as that was a mandatory requirement for us to proceed with the application.

Thank you for your response.

Hell great people, please I need some help here. Does anyone know anything about oyster farming?

I have the following questions;

Can oysters grow in brackish or freshwater?
Do they grow in muddy or freshwater?
Can it coexist with any other fish?
Can it grow alongside water vegetation?
What does it feed on?
Where can the seeds be bought?

Your inputs are appreciated. Thank you.

If you get SI scholarship, feel free to take the opportunity. From sweden you can move to other places. But if you’re coming here to pay millions with the hope of finding a job in that area without speaking Swedish, sorry. Except you just want to do menial jobs to get work permit.

The rules for work permit is even about to change. Things won’t be that easy anymore.

But someone said it's hard for Nigerians to get the scholarship. How true is that?
Travel / Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by greatme2good(f): 9:40am On Dec 10, 2021
ikswiss:
Yeah wages are considerably good in Sweden but we pay massive tax. Sweden got a low Gini index with most of the economy being “logom”. A country that 99.1% of its monetary value happens to be controlled by the blond hair and blue eyes people. In the Uk the market is big and people can boost of equal opportunities both professional and unprofessional.

Although this is the case, living in Sweden is good if you grasps the language and network well with the right people which might take you 10years to achieve, while this is not the case in the UK.

Sweden is a welfare state which practically means that everything you are doing is controlled by the system, your tax and mortgage is done by the state. In the United Kingdom is just a different thing as it’s a capitalist with slight touch of welfare, you don’t need a fast contract to get a car lease or a mortgage, which in my opinion is a great way to get moving in the system.

In Sweden there is so much problems with integration and immigrants are massively unemployed and the reasons can be inability to speak Swedish and most times systematic racism and in the Uk,diversity lights up the nation.
Although there is racism everywhere but you have more better opportunities in the Uk than Sweden.

How many African immigrants have you met working in co-operate sectors in Sweden?
I’m sure you can count them in numbers.

If you not a hardcore engineering or IT student just leave Sweden because your chances getting in the labor market is slim.

I have lived in both countries as well. I would say that accommodation and food is cheap in Uk depending on your own standard while in Sweden accommodation is considered cheap due to the housing standards and getting accommodation is such a work especially if you don’t have a permanent residence as you have to be on the cue for years to get accommodation. Living in Sweden generally is far expensive than United Kingdom as most of the food is imported.

Hello,

I followed this thread from the beginning to this page.

Thanks for your selfless input and contributions.

I want to ask, do a graphics designer, copywriter or video editor stand a chance to get freelancing jobs in Sweden?

I sometimes see remote job posts from Sweden on LinkedIn for technical copywriters and all. So I'd like to know if I stand a chance to get a good job over there while schooling.

I plan to apply for the ongoing autumn masters application and maybe apply for the scholarship.

If possible please drop your email let me send you a PM.

Thank you.

NYSC / Re: NYSC 2021 : 10 Top Paying States In Nigeria by greatme2good(f): 4:41pm On Oct 16, 2021
BornorBang:
Have you been wondering the states in Nigeria that pay NYSC Corpers the highest state allowance? This article published by unveils the 10 top paying states for NYSC allowance you should consider while selecting states for your NYSC posting.

Let's dive in!

1. Lagos State :
Topping the list of states that pay corpers state allowance is Lagos State, the commercial capital of Nigeria.

Regarding security, Lagos is one of the safest places for corps members in Nigeria.

For most corps members, Lagos state is the best state for NYSC in Nigeria, mostly because of the several multinational companies in Lagos.

Sadly, it is too competitive, and getting posted to Lagos is more luck than choice.

But one thing is sure, NYSC Lagos State allowance will reach you.

The Lagos state government pays corps members in ministries the sum of N10,000/Month while Corp Members in Local Government Offices are paid N5,000 monthly.

2. Akwa Ibom State :
This is one state in Nigeria that is a major destination for corps members. If you serve in Akwa Ibom, you will understand why and definitely fall in love with the state.

For a while, the state has been paying an additional Akwa Ibom State NYSC stipend to corps members on the day they’re to pass out from the camp.

According to the government, it’s to help them get to their various PPAs before their service year officially begins.

Akwa Ibom is as safe as a safe house.

Also, feeding is cheap in all parts of Akwa Ibom.

Transportation cost is also affordable, housing cost is reasonable, and the lifestyle is great.

If you’re asking yourself, “How much does Akwa Ibom pay corpers?” your answer is here.

The state government allowance for corpers in Akwa Ibom is ₦5,000 monthly flat rate. However, some professional courses receive higher Akwa Ibom State NYSC allowance than others. There are also various companies that pay corpers in Akwa Ibom State, and trust me, they pay them well.

3. Anambra State :
Another state on this list of states that pay youth corpers is Anambra state.

The Anambra government pays corps members ₦9,000, which is higher than all states except Lagos state.

Yes, you read that right.

In the state, food is cheap, accommodation is reasonable, and transportation is affordable.

You won’t have to look for the best PPA in Anambra State because the state offers lots of great PPA opportunities.

Some persons however argue that this payment (N9000) is a one-time payment paid once.

How much does Anambra State pay nurse corpers?

Anambra State pays nurses corpers the sum of N22,000 monthly.

4. Kano State :
Kano is a major commercial hub and one of the few northern states that pay NYSC allowance.

The state is on our list of states that pay youth corpers in Nigeria and has been consistent for some time.

At a time, Kano state was amongst the most populous states in Nigeria, although the Boko Haram crisis might have contributed to the state losing some population.

Corps Members dislike serving in the north because of the fragile security in the region.

However, Kano is an exception.

Kano state is a state you will enjoy living in if you find yourself there.

Things are cheap in the city, making it an ideal state for all corpers as they can save a significant part of their allowance.

The Kano state government pays corps members ₦5,000 monthly, making it the best northern state for NYSC.

5. Taraba State :
This state is another state in the north that pays corpers NYSC state allawi.

They pay corps members working in public establishments six thousand Naira (₦6,000) monthly. Besides public organizations, there are other offices that pay corpers in Taraba state.

This was implemented in December 2018, and to date, the state government is still paying.

So if you’re wondering whether Taraba State is good for NYSC, you’ve got your answer.

6. Niger State :
Undoubtedly, this is the most “secure” state in the north and pays corpers state allowance.

Generally, feeding and housing are cheap in the entire north, and Niger state isn’t an exception.

Besides that, there are various business opportunities you can start while in the north.

The state has a steady power supply, which can be attributed to the Kainji dam’s presence.

The Niger state nysc allowance for corps members is N6000 per month.

If you’re looking for where to serve and pass out without drama, head to Niger state.

7. Rivers State :
This is among the best states in Nigeria for NYSC.

People who served in Rivers can testify that Rivers State is worth mentioning on this list of states that pay corpers state allowance.

The state pays a Rivers State NYSC allowance of N15,000 to Corps members posted in the state.

If you serve in the State Capital, Port Harcourt, you might end up serving in a big oil company and earn more.

8. Osun State :
This list of Nigeria states’ NYSC allowance will not be complete if Osun State is not mentioned.

Osun is one of the southwest states that pay corpers and has maintained the status over the years.

The state is calm and peaceful, has good electricity, and can turn your dream into reality.

Osun State NYSC allowance is N5,000.

9. Jigawa State :

Jigawa state government pays its corps members ₦5,000 monthly flat rate.

However, those in hospitals receive N16000 and medicine, and veterinary medicine corpers earn about N26,000.

The state is one of the northern states people love to go for NYSC.

10. Ebonyi State :

Ebonyi state is a state in the southeastern part of Nigeria.

As of 2018/2019, Ebonyi state was paying corpers N10,000 monthly for their monthly Ebonyi NYSC State allowance.

However, there is a strong rumor that the payment stopped after the 2019 general election as the corpers that came after weren’t paid.

With the ongoing transformation in the state, many are looking for companies in Ebonyi State that pay corpers.

We will update you if there is any development with the payment of the Ebonyi State NYSC allowance.

How much does Ebonyi State pay nurse NYSC corpers?

Ebonyi State pays NYSC nurses in the state hospitals N10,000 only monthly.

Please remove Rivers State from the list. They don't pay anything and there's no oil company job anywhere sad

No one is bashing him because he's a man. Imagine getting close to the family of both ladies, visiting, calling, and the rest. Yet he's confused on who to choose among them.

You never loved that first girl; you only saw a means of survival and maximized the opportunity. Not only did she house you, but she also fed you, saw you through school, and gave you free coochie that resulted in 6 abortions.

My friend, I don't pity you at all. Just pray that girl doesn't hurt you when she eventually finds out about this betrayal.

Business To Business / Re: Turkey Mini Importation Business - Buy & Ship From Turkey To Nigeria by greatme2good(f): 12:48pm On Jan 14, 2021
mimilogistics:
Good afternoon great and ambitious Nairalander hustlers and entrepreneurs, I greet you all.

I bring to you, a wonderful opportunity to start your own Turkey Mini Importation Business from the comfort of your home, office or school hostel.

I don't think we have any Turkey mini importation business thread here on Nairaland, so I decided to create this thread to teach and help Nairalanders who are interested in buying quality Turkey made products, especially women designer handbags, designer shoes, T-shirts, men's shirts, women dresses, quality men's shoes and many more.

I want this thread to be as interactive as possible, so please feel free to ask any question you want to ask.

But before we forge ahead, I want to first inform you that Turkey products are kind of costlier than China made products and it is because Turkey is an European country that still maintains European quality standard in their production, so whatever you buy from Turkey, be rest assured that it will be a top quality product that if you want to sell it, whoever you sell it to will be happy and come back to buy more from you.

As we go on, I will be posting some product samples here to give you a peep into how Turkey products look like.

For now, let me see how many people interested in importing things from Turkey, you can indicate by dropping comment here.

Please how can one make payment on the site?

Again, her making a video of it proves its something they laugh over at home. Maybe the boy is fond of doing it. If she wanted to flog him, she would have done it without waiting for him to say anything.
