it will surprise you to know that Bello rejected the post of a federal Prime Minister which Britain promised him. he stayed back in Kaduna as a regional Premier to develop his people in the North. from 1951 to 1966

but Zik was galivanting, moving capital of the East from Calabar to Enugu in 1954, running back to Lagos in 1960

As evident in that book it was Awo who was envious of Igbos and their progressive lifestyle. From the nice hairstyle of his Igbo classmates to the Dr Zik Oratory skills and flamboyancy when he addressed university students at Ibadan (Awo was an unknown journalist them), he never tried for a moment to rein in his envy and jealousy of Zik and Igbos.
