Caution was only given by some scholars on account of some of them carrying diseases in which case they can be avoided because, even though the general rule is that what you catch or fish from the sea is permitted, the rule to not eat what is harmful then applies. But just how much harm can some of these other ones cause is not enough to raise an alarm, as people are known to consume them, in moderate quantities, for years without significant health risk, thereby making some of those restrictions watered down. They were never even classed 'forbidden' though. And of course there is, empirically, a room for this scholarly elucidation in Islam as well because the scholar who is able to torch-light the matter well will be rewarded more than the others.

Relate with Islam from the point of how the Creator, God Almighty, connects His holy sites to certain elevated individuals. In Islam, we know that Jerusalem is sacred to the Jews because God Almighty ordered prophet Sulaiman (Solomon) to build the temple of worship on a designated holy site over there. We also know that Sulaiman is the son of Dawud (David) and they lived in the same place. So what are you really driving at asking that question?

Anyway, same place is claimed by christians as where crucifixion occurred. And same place was marked later for the ascension of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) by God Almighty. Now it is left to you to believe this or not. But remember that an unlettered man in Medina taught his companions all about this holy land and how it will fall to the Muslims and so it came to pass. God is never unjust but His Wrath always visits after learning the truth and then choosing to be defiant.
