OluchiDelly: The figures here are over estimated. Always use the worst case scenario when dealing with what you have little or no control over. 20mt per hec is still moderate. Ignore that jiji figure. even at 10 tons per hectare and a selling price of #30,000 per ton, I still consider it a good investment. My problem is getting a capable, dedicated and trustworthy farm manager. |

okoroemeka: what I truly find interesting in this post is why would a man just released from prison by his jailers then be immediately driven personally by the second in command to see the commander in chief?it shows they needed the man desperately, why?because col ojukwu released chief awolowo from calabar prison with the arrangement that he will go back to the west and declear oduduwa republic and possibly be the first president, but he was conered as the post truly said and was offered the post of finance minister just to forget the idea, what a betrayal, the consequences of that action is still reverberating through the country now ,that simply driving on any highway now in Nigeria is a potential death wish due to herdsmen jihadists,we tend to hastily forget the past but history had an uncanny ability of repeating itself. he was made the civillian vice president to a military head of state concurrently with the post of finance minister. |

Tinubu insulted Obi and Atiku instead of campaigning for himself that's why children young enough to be his sons and grandsons are stripping him naked and bathing him in public. Tinubu doesn't conduct himself in a Presidential manner with his regular use of insults and vulgar language. Nigeria is not a Lagos motor park to be ruled by vulgar touts. |

Peter Obi travels economy class, as a president, I believe that he would reduce the size and frequency of use of the Presidential fleet. The united States Presidential fleet consists of only two aircrafts that has been in use since 1990 so why should the Nigerian presidential fleet consist of ten aircrafts? The funniest aspect was that Buhari promised to reduce the size of the Presidential fleet during the 2015 campaign, seven years later, he hasn't done so. |

Could anyone with experience please give a breakdown of what it would cost to produce 1 hectre (2.5 acres) of cassava? And the expected profit margin too. I'm also planning to go large scale on this, I understand that a hectare of well managed cassava would yield at least 30 tons of cassava, a ton of cassava is currently been sold at 50k on jiji so you should do the maths. |

Samantha123: Education is a big scam everywhere.. They just make us read all these things that'll never benefit us in the future.
You'd go to school, finish on record time and get that degree, but when it's time to apply for a job, they'll tell you that you must have a 4 or 5 years of working experience, like where do you expect someone who's fresh from varsity to get that kind of experience?
Next thing you start doing some piece jobs like internships or learnerships to get that working experience, you apply again, only for them to tell you that you must own a car. Like where do you expect the person to get money to buy a car when he or she has never had a good paying job?
You finally manage to get a cheap second hand car, and they now tell you that you must be fluent in Afrikaans, as if we still live in the apartheid era. hahaha, the truth is that the educational system prepares us poorly for the workplace because most of what we learnt in school isn't applicable to the workplace. Those who have skills valued by employers aren't made to pass through all those unnecessary stress to get a job, take a look at those in medical fields. I have taught myself building design and construction, I hope to gradually switch over to the profession, I also want to retire to a small horticulture farm in future. I'm still planning things out. Samantha123: I enjoy reading only if it's for personal pleasure and not because it's school related.. I do have a number of novels both in English and Sepedi.
For example, back in high school I didn't do history as a subject, but whenever my sister was home for the school holidays, you'd find me busy reading her history books instead of reading my own books... .. And in most cases I'd read and finish the entire book.
I think my introvert nature was the one that helped me finish school on record time.
I didn't do mathematics or economics back in high school.
What is the estimated salary of an average teacher in Nigeria, you don't have to tell me the exact salary. hmm, mathematics is compulsory for all students at all levels in Nigerian secondary schools, economics almost the same. Telling you Nigerian salaries wouldn't make any sense to you because of the massive depreciation of our currency under the current President, in my state, government school teachers starts from #45,000 ( $63) per month while private and missionary schools starts at about half the amount #20,000-#25,000 ( #35) per month. It's actually lower than that if you convert with the dollar buying rate instead of the selling rate. |

Naijapolitics03: Hi everyone. I'm a popular moniker on the Politics section, however, I am currently going through some turmoil in my marriage. I cant use my main moniker because of politics ish...
Few years ago (about 4 years now), I moved to Canada with an F1 Visa. At that point, I was only 28 and married with the woman I loved. We had a daughter. However, While I was in school doing my MSc, my wife came in the second year as a dependant, together with our baby. A little over a year, she started complainning about the mundane and boring lifestyle we were living in Canada. I convinced our stay in Canada is not forever, as I equally planned to move back home once I saved enough and had a child while we stay so the baby can be a citizen. Figured she could no longer cope, and perhaps the Winter wasnt really helping matter. Because of her, I wasnt staying in a Shared appartment and was paying heavily for rent, bought a decent TV so she could occupied herself with that while I am in school. Despite her mum's and family pleas, she turned deaf ears decided to move back to Nigeria, a situation I didnt find so comforting because I became terribly lonely after she left. I started working shortly after my program and made plan with her family to set her up in business in Nigeria.
Early this year, my guys back home started telling me how they often see her in club royale partying with friends. I didnt take this serious untill I started to noticed some strange whenever I called her. She stopped doing video call with me without reasons, and there are times when we would have plan to have some sexy talks on phone during the night and she would dissapoint. I asked her about the party things and she excused that with loneliness. I planned to go visit Naija by December because I missed my daughter and wife too, but tbh, I dont know the situation of things as I am scared my wife has probably been cheating on me. And I have not inform her yet of my coming home. guy remove your mind there, just make sure that your daughter and future children with her are biologically yours. Don't ever bring her back to Canada and don't be stupid enough to relocate back to Nigeria now with the current socioeconomic situation. Work hard and save money should be your motto now. Be very discrete and diplomatic in checking the true paternity of your children, don't annoy an innocent woman by mistake. |

Osewa03: She can't work with an F2 Visa in Canada. She'll be indoor while her husband will go work. It might not be a case of laziness. And is the husband treating her good is also another question one should ask so if her husband is not treating her "good", she should start cheating and clubbing without his knowledge? Hmm |
