"His Mother's Blood" is a racy contemporary Nigerian book by Obi Udegbunam. It's fiction, but very vivid and easy reading. |
Sorry to hear this brother. But believe; when one door is closed many more will open. Just keep your head high and above ground, no matter what. Be strong and you'll outlast the tough times. |
Good I was too busy to watch the match on TV. Nothing missed, only the heartache of watching a fumbling LIVE match ![]() |
Sorry I didn't mention that, yes It's a Toyota Camry. Two months? Well if I could wait a whole year sure I can wait that long. And thanks a million |
The earlier the better. But I think around 8 - 9 months is just ok. |
Begging can never be glamorized, even if it fetches 10K per day. It is disgraceful and shameful, as a matter of fact it is illegal in Lagos state. Do not wish it on yourself, even in jest! |
12million per annum is no big deal for a man in his position. The focus of the linked article is not on his annual take home, but on his annual expenses which goes way above his wages. |
Have you ever heard the term FAIR WEATHER FRIEND? That's what she is. Make friends with her at your own risk |
I've had my car for about a year now, no major problems. But I am this type of guy that wants to enjoy ALL the functions of a car. It's just like buying a phone without the manual, I always feel short changed and there's this nagging feeling that it's being underutilized. For instance I see this O/D button on the gear and I don't know what it does. There's also the Cruise Control lever that I cont know how to use and I am sure there are so many other functions that are not so visible, this could be so frustrating This is why I need the User's Manual. I could pay a reasonable amount for it. If it comes free, the better ![]() |

I watched my wife try to potty train our 1st kid when he was about a year and half. The first few days were frustrating for her. She went as far as allowing the boy play with his best toy while sitting on the potty, of course the lad ended up getting over engrossed with the toy rather than face the real business at hand. I just had to intervene. I waited till the day the boy pissed on himself while I was around. The moment he did the deed, I gave him a small but stinging WHACK on his bombom then planted him firmly on his potty for the next 10 minutes. He got the message and he hasn't looked back since. The tricky part is to accurately deliver the whack right on time, it must be done not more than 10 seconds right after the naughty wee, that way he'll be able to tie naughty wee to stinging whack! Good luck. |
A beg where's roty? Or has all these hot blooded rhymestars scared him off the chase. Waiting ![]() |

My take. Give the project a chance. Give Dora the benefit of the doubt, after all she has a solid pedigree that ought to persuade doubting thomases. |
Mr ferdiii, your'e joking, right? |
Someone is trying to sell us a dud story here. This story is so improbable that it simply cant be true. and I refuse to believe anyone could be so stupid as to attempt such an ignoble feat. ![]() |
Prevention, they say, is better than cure. Prevention = Don't buy converted used cars Cure = No need to worry over conversion issues |
You should not expect less. You have thiefing man as your governor, who prefer to use state resources and funds on his daughter's wedding rather than developing the state. His daughter was robbed of $56,000 yet ibadan people did not make noise. Where on earth did she get the money from? Sorry your governor made the state attractive to armed robbers because he lacks direction and focus.Maybe the robbers are usually on the prowl of Akala and his associates so they could rob them of some of their loot. Ibadan people should make signposts that leads to the government house so the robbers would get their target ![]() |
In addition to Kx's comments, I am astounded you could be serious with someone you met online without seeing her- physically, unless of you're one of those who don't care about such little inconveniences as a crippled, obese or albino spouse! No offense meant, but you really need to know what you're getting into if you're already considering walking the aisle. As per the second girl, well, get real! |
Its no gainsaying our govt doesn't give a rats ass about the masses. Listen to the reason being given for the removal of the subsidy: corruption in government's Petroleum Products overseers. eg NNPC, PPMC etc So government can't keep government workers in line, by keeping them off the till. SOLUTION; remove subsidy, so the (lower cadre government) staff can't steal it. QED The masses will suffer? well government will cross the bridge when it gets there!!!!! ![]() |
Pity ![]() |
Silly topic, silly posts ![]() What's da big deal about ya satanism. Its not a new innovation, why make so much noise about it? I might as well start taunting you with my Christianity, but to what purpose. If you want to be occupied try counting sheep. ![]() 1 black sheep, 2 satanic sheep, 3 black sheep and so on |
I listened to the programme today, maybe as a result of all the free advertisement given so far to Tosin and her morning programme. Interesting concept, and she obviously has some originality, 5 years down the road she might start competing with the likes of Mofe Oyatogun of Star fm as regards radio presentation. As of now, I think she's just trying, she's still too pubescent. Now, these are sincere personal observations, not trying to run anybody down. |
Yeah davidif, tell them. Politics is about selflessness and the WILL to engender betterment for the majority of the populace. Though Ojo appears intelligent and confident but deep down he is only a self preservationist, a yessirman that wouldn't stand up for anything, much less stand up for integrity. This makes him a very weak candidate for presidency. |
Funny enough, Ojo is my next door neighbor in the village, I should be rooting for him. But truth is, he is a non performer, charity they say begins at home. But the road in his area is the worst in the country. If you've been in the highest corridors of power for over 6 years and your immediate constituency cant feel any Federal presence nor feel you as an individual, that for me, is FAILURE! |
Good innovation. ![]() |
Look let me tell u something British Tory Party leader David Cameron drives a bike to work, so the rationale behind the idea was good.I can tell you, for free, that David Cameron wouldn't dare ride from Agege to Lekki. He would fix the roads first. That is the moral of the gist: create an enabling environment first before trying to implement such radical and far reaching changes. |
