Way too many holes in the post. -Two small boys killed those animals? That is a feat. - All those animals lived "in a small bush at the back of a mechanics shop" The rats, maybe. The boa? Hmm, just might be possible by a very long shot, but you can't find antelopes living that close to humans. Com'on that's one lie too many |

@garfield16: I noted your observations too. But I still believe this was a great article. The errors are not more than what a little more experience and hands-on exposure in real-world journalism wont eradicate. On the other hand, I think the poster is good salesman. Note the subtle way he markets himself by telling us his qualifications, prior experience as editor of a school magazine, all captured in a sample of his writing abilities? Bravo 11 Likes |
Webmasters / I Need My Webform To Auto-send SMS To Mobile Numbers When Submitted by gReenmAn(m): 3:54pm On Jan 23, 2016 |
Hello People. I have just designed a web form in JOTFORM. When the form is completed and submitted, a summary is sent as an email to some email addresses, this is fine. Now I want the forms contents to also be sent as SMS to some given mobile numbers. I have already subscribed to a bulk SMS website and I have their API. Searches online have not provided much help. Anyone with any ideas how to solve this problem. Much gracias in advance. |

Very nice concept . . . but no finesse at all Come on, they could make the place a wee bit more alluring, even if they're so hung on keeping it as Fela originally left it. 1 Like |
Car Talk / Re: Frsc Faults Lagos Policy On Number Plate by gReenmAn(m): 11:17am On Oct 05, 2012 |
There are too many things wrong with some aspects of the law that will make it impractical to implement, without unduly victimising vehicle owners. The law 'advices' car owners to get Lagos plate numbers if they live in Lagos or do so if they stay in Lagos for more than 3 months. http://www.punchng.com/news/lagos-wont-allow-other-states-number-plates-govt/ Now, how do you identify Lagos residents? and how do you identify visitors that have stayed more than 3 months? This seems to be the harbinger of Lagos state ID cards and residency permits! |

Wow, I can't believe the knd of responses I am reading on this thread. Wow again. Does this mean Nigerians have become so hardened, jaded and so psychologically traumatized by the daily doses of violence and deaths bombarding our senses, that we have lost all basic human emotions/feelings to empathize with a WOMAN who was so physically assaulted? FACT: It can never be right to treat a woman (or man) in the way described by the poster for no just reason. Period. Let us as a nation try to re discover the humane part of our being. 4 Likes |
Politics / Re: Gunmen Kill 3 Policemen, & Others In Lagos by gReenmAn(m): 11:44am On Sep 11, 2012 |
BUT, how could the policemen killed in their van still be caught unawares when the robbers had been operating around Lagos for atleast over an hour before then? The gunmen's rampage from Bariga to Mile 2 to Agege must have taken well over an hour and should have kept every policeman in the metropolise on Red Alert! |

+ fuqua: With all the blackberries out there, nobody was able to take pictures! My brother, I dont pray you're ever confronted by armed robbers or even be a mere spectator at a robbery scene. Cos if that ever happens, you"ll realize that getting a picture with your phone will be the laaaast thing on your mind. Aside that, its also a dumb and very dangerous move to make |

Nairaland / General / Re: My Ordeal With "One Chance Fraudsters" This Morning by gReenmAn(m): 2:43pm On Jul 27, 2012 |
Believe it or not, some of these guys also use diobolical means to achieve their aims! Being street-wise is of no value when you encounter these set of dupes. Some years back at Iyana Ipaja bus stop, a very close person was approached by a man who asked for directions to a particular church. She intuitively became suspicious of the man, coupled with the fact that she was sure no such church existed in that area. As she made to move away without responding to the man, a lady, who appeared to be a by stander, suddenly intervened and implored her to please help the man. Her mistake was to pay attention to the lady, because that was the last coherent statement she heard for the next few hours! She only remembered being sheepishly led to a car (with a waiting driver) by the man and the strange lady and she taking them to her house in Abesan Estate! At her house, they collected all the money she had, collected all her best clothes and still had the effontry to ask if she had any clothes remaining at the dry cleaners! They eventually took her all the way back to Iyana Ipaja, dropped her off at the bus stop where they first picked her from and zoomed off. It was only then that she came back to her senses |
Car Talk / Re: Ever Had Your Car Stolen Before? Advice Others. by gReenmAn(m): 3:08pm On Jul 13, 2012 |
Very interesting thread. I lost my Toyota Camry 2000 model on 26th of February this year. I had gone for a child dedication party at a friends place after church. I had packed on a street adjacent to his house and came back less than 30 minutes later to find an empty space where my car had been. An eye witnesses later told me he saw a passanger alight from a taxi cab that came to a stop beside my car, casually strolled to the parked car and simply unlocked the it and drove off. All the while the taxi was parked right behind the car, they both zoomed off afterwards at the same time. The witness said there was nothig suspicious about the whole operation because it was done so casually and without any visible force. Of course, the car was locked with the keys still with me till this day. Car has not been found till date despite having angraved the reg numbers on all available space on the body of the car. Lesson I learnt is; always value what you have, cos you wont know what you've got till it's gone. I say this because I had just degraded my insurance from "Comrehensive" to "third party" just a month earlier when it fell due. I had also stopped using my leg pedal locks, all because I felt the car was too old (12 yrs!) to be of any any interest to any thief. How wrong I was. 3 Likes |

doyindav: Does '22' still qualify for the term 'kid'You may go further to ask if Lil' Wayne still qualifies for the term Lil' (In case you didn't know, Lil' means little). You'll prolly then ask if Chaley Boy qualifies to be called 'boy'. If you continue asking those kind of questions long enough I am sure someone will get interested and might spare the time to tell you about a thing called "Stage Name". |

Politics / Re: Orji Wins Abia State by gReenmAn(m): 1:08pm On Apr 28, 2011 |
Now I am beginning to have mixed feelinsg about T.A's victory. My initial reaction was that of bafflement and consternation as to why Abians chose to vote for the no-performer. But going through some posts here I begin to see there might be some good in TA's victory. But is it enough satisfaction to simply oust OUK's influence from Abia politics. How are we sure we are not replacing one evil Pharaoh with another; a proven clueless and dumb one to boot! Abians could have done better by looking at some of the not-so prominent opposition contenders. There is this Uduma Agbai Nnate of APS for instance. Yes I know his party (APS) is virtually unknown in Abia. But the guy's pedigree and personae should have stood him out among the crowd. I saw in him a welcome break from the tainted, over circulated Abia politicians of OUK's ilk. People like him, with or without a strong political party should have been given a chance to breathe the much needed fresh air into Abia politics, even if its just for the satisfaction of shaming the so called political warlords. But I know this is just wishful thinking in the lucre infested, gutter machinations of Nigerian politics. |

Gen. Babangida’s ambition suffered a major blow on Tuesday, with the adoption of ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as a consensus candidate of the North by the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF). But, Babangida’s associates, friends and supporters are said to be mounting pressure on him to quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and run in another party. Does he have REAL friends and associates? The Evil Genius should realize that all those guys around him are simply out to milk what they can from his stolen stash. His early ouster from the Presidential race simply translates to a stop to the plenty cash that would've rained on them. Oles wan thief from Ole |
