some people can genuinely not feed their kids......The process was wrong, even if I don't know whether there is a process for that.

It is a confusing case it is right on one hand, wrong on the other

But if the mother couldn't take care of the baby she won't be wrong giving it to someone who can ...it is the responsible thing to do
Don't rewrite the narration.. She didn't give, she sold the child. Stop promoting impunity

Left to me, I don’t see anything bad in what the lady did. Only that she didn’t follow the legitimate process. Come to think of it, is there anything so legitimate with nigerian systems?

Instead of giving birth to the southern almajiri, she opted selling her baby willingly to couple who can take care of it. The only problem is the third parties involved and the authenticity of the buyer.
She said could not feed her own mouth talkless of feeding the baby. But she still went ahead to make the baby where CD of N100 could have saved the day. Sister, call a spade a spade , there is no single justification for her actions. She's purely a greedy fellow influenced by making quick money from the sale of the baby.
If she has not been caught, definitely she will make another baby ,so she can continue to make quick cash. Simple

Take a look at the Quarantine law he signed, check the offences and penalties.
Once an administration signed a statement into law you have to either obey or protest or relocate.
We need to stop allowing sentiment to rule our lives in this country.

When things happen let's see what the law says instead of allowing sentiment to dictate what is right or wrong.

Is it in the Quarantined order that offenders should have their properties turned to Isolation centers? If no, then you are part of the problem of this country
No one can be a judge in one case. Every offense is subjected to ligation in a competent court of law. Wike is the prosecutor and same the Judge. He should have allowed the court to take decivise decision ,even though he has a good intention of putting an end to Covid 19.

Politics / Re: Instead Of Shifting Edo & Ondo Elections, Why Not Go For E-Voting? by gretblue: 4:47pm On May 11, 2020
There is no provision for E voting in our electoral system as of today. Opting for e voting will surely make the results unconstitutional at the end of the exercise.
And if the election can not be held before their tenures expires, the Constitution say , Mr President shall appoint a sole administrator.
Not even the Gov will be in the office a minute after their tenures expire

Kano does have upto 100 Flyovers and bridges. Infact, it has no more than 30 Flyovers.
Definitely more than 30 flyovers. Beginning from Gyadi - Gyadi. Down to Dangi, From Dangi down to Dogo banki by Bank of the north headquarters. Down to Gidan Murtala, , down to Ibrahim Taiwo road, Before Ibrahim Taiwo road , you have some along Kano state poly. From there down to Yankura, Yankura down to France road, France road down to Coca cola and bata from bats to Bello road, from Bello road down to Dala, Dala to This Army barrack, from there down to Gwamaja, down to Murtala Muhammad Hospital ( under construction) from there down to BuK old site. In all these areas, there are not less than 2/3/4 flyovers there. Definitely more than 30 flyovers, it might not be up to 100.

Two weeks quarantine requirement is just to wait to see if the infected will start having symptoms. Unfortunately, many are asymptomatic, and never show signs of the disease throughout infection period.

The best thing to do is to repeat the test after a few days, 3-5 days, anyone infected will test positive to PCR test, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic. This should be standard. UK's isolation time is even one week.

We in Nigeria copy and do dumb things.
There are two planned tests to be conducted on them, according to health minister. First on their arrival, second test will be conducted on 13th day. Thereafter, they will be discharged anyone that tests negative

No it is not unethical. Advanced countries who know far better than us are showing videos and pictures but they either blur it or capture from afar so you don't see the faces of the patients. You guys in nigeria like to support and defend nonsense and act like you know better than the whites that you can't do without.

The useless govt especially lagos state should stop dishing out figures. Show the workings and show evidence. Show us the isolation centres with the patients and blurr out their faces. That's how people who are sincere do it. These useless Nigerian politicians should learn to gain the trust of the masses. They are always lying.
It's not good to argue with most of you on Nairaland. Because I have come to realize, you all argue on information you have no knowledge or ideas on the standard practice of it.
Now pick your phone and goggle Physician oaths on your phone. It will teach you the privacy of patients . The oath is not restricted to Nigeria but international body of medical practice.
Go and learn a new information and stop displaying your ignorance on social media.
Anyone in Medical line, will definitely just be laughing at your pure ignorance. Any Covid 19 patients you see on video or TV must have consented to it , you can't just display anyone without his consent.
Goggle Physician oaths and stop being silly on social media

Lagos discharged 60 people but no pictures or videos. At least if you cannot show us pictures of the infected people in isolation centres, you should be able to show us vidoes or pictures of people discharged. You can blur their faces. At least let us see and believe all these audio cases and discharges.
The exclusive right to show picture lies with the patients my brother. It's unethical to display your patients identity on media except the patients consent to it.
Many patients have consented to it like those discharged in Akwa Ibom last week. They granted interviews in the hospital gates immediately they were released. Channels TV and TVC have brought many Covid 19 on live interviews in the past.
Every patient owns the rights either to disclose his identity or not. Govt has no single right .
Stop recycling this same question on and on again.
The world is thinking of how to curb the spread and come up with a vaccine not how to display pictures of Covid 19 patients

Nah bro. Am not blaming anyone. Just like u mentioned, they wanna go back to a normal they cant get. We r all suffering from this thing. I tire pass some people o. No money, everything has crashed, but it isnt just here alone

I remembered Brazil president saying he wont lockdown that its just a normal flu, nothing serious. Citizens hailed him for standing up for them.

Now report has it that they dug 35k plus graves. They dont even test people anymore, u die, they bury you. He didnt take heed.
. The world is in chaos. Everyone is tired. Even some with money will go broke, crime may increase.

Its not just here. The world on pause, reigious activities cancelled, sports cancelled, many things scatter.

In US some also still believe its a scam despite deaths etc. But some still believe its real.

Same people who say its scam are the ones saying 5G is the cause of Covid-19. (isnt that contradictory) some who say its scam are the same u see using face mask. grin

Everybody don tire. People are just using Corrupt leaders to judge the case in 9ja. So i really dnt blame anyone. But in pandemics nothing is ever normal
Take solace in whatever meltdown you might be experiencing now, when you have life, definitely we can rebuild our business back. But when there is no life, no hope to rebuild any business again.

Well, in my opinion, we should lift the lockdown, and let people move frely around.

The problem with my opinion is that the number of people who would catch and fall seriously sick with covid19 would overwhelm our hospital beds and make it difficult to treat other patients, including Malaria cases.(And that could be very bad, especially as I work in a hospital here for Nigeria)

(Remember we have people like El Rufai and Atiku's son who are asymptomatic carriers....who could spread the thing well)

Also, people who recover may have side effects (still early days to say, but some people would have breathing difficulties).

And the economy would be in even more serious trouble, affecting people like you more.

Choose your disaster. It may not affect you directly. But it might affect your loved ones directly and indirectly. And you would wish they allowed the lockdown to happen

I symphatize with your pains.
You have said it all my brother.
The surviving grace we are still having in Nigeria is just because our Hospitals and medical personnel have not been overwhelmed by Covid 19 patients. The moment no hospitals spaces or Nurse to attend to anyone again in the hospital.
Definitely people will come to appreciate the need for all of us to curb the spread of the virus

Start a venture that uses natural resources that is assessible in Nigeria.

Train them and set up an entrepreneurship program for them and pass a law that enforces all Nigerians to compulsorily buy and use that product everyday!

In 5 years you will roll out youths that are self employed and generating hundreds of thousands for themselves if not millions

Typical lazy youths indeed. Mr President was right years ago.
