Another noisenaking from the chicken-hearteded Yoruba ethnic nationality. Arewa government of Buhari will humiliate and derobe Adeniyi and Yorubas will do nothing. You can only make noise and nothing else.
You are in Nigeria because we didn't allow you to go. You should have a Biafran passport now but you don't. It took the "cowardly" Yorubas to kill your dream of Biafra.

I know you more than you know yourself. As soon as you run out of ideas or what to say, you either start cursing or you start raising tantrums.
It took about 100 Yoruba soldiers in Ore to annihilate the invading Biafrans. Not only were they dimwitted, they were cowardly too.

Lol! World largest refinery. That was how they called the manufacturing plant packaging cement company, Obajana Cement as the largest in the world.

Naija and largest always in the same sentence. But anyways Kudos to Alhaji Dangote.
Did you know that Nigeria now export cement?

Sour attitude. Look at the picture, it is massive. It is impressive. It will end importation of refined petroleum products in Nigeria. That is not something to sneer about unless you are bitter.

What is ailing Nigeria is greater than Buhari or any single person. The foundation of the country is faulty.

All the freedom fighters to top human right lawyers in Nigeria's history are Yorubas. It's still Yorubas that stood up against the Military junta and fought for our democracy when your own people were busy marching and feasting in support of the oppressors

Can you please name someone from your own tribe that has balls to face injustice?
It is always good for people to underestimate you. The surprise on their faces is sweeter than honey.

are egun Yoruba ?

Go and develop Yoruba land... can't you see how dirty ibadan is...very antiquated city with begged colony ...go to challenge and weep

Can't you see oshogbo, Ado , Abeokuta , Sango etc...these are backward cities

No Yoruba city has ever won any international recognition

Don't call Lagos a Yoruba city because. It's created by all Nigerians

Go and develop Yoruba city ...Igbo have Onitsha,PH,Enugu And building Awka ....they have Owerri as a tourist city and Nnewi as am engineering hub while Aba for fabrication while Onitsha is for the trades

Tell me what Yoruba cities are known for ? Absolutely nothing ! Stop claiming Lagos because you can't get it... Go and build your cities in Yoruba land period
All these drivel just to convince yourself that what you are seeing right in front of you is not really there. Psychiatrists must have a name for this condition. Frankly, only a completely deranged Yoruba person will debate with you whether Lagos is a Yoruba city or not.
If you say it belongs to you, great. Then at least produce a governor.
PoliticsRe: How Wole Soyinka Was Nearly Lynched In Enugu By An Irate Crowd During The War by Guestlander: 1:50am On Jul 26, 2020
kingzizzy:
Wole Soyinka is now 86 years old. I wish him longer life. But reality is that he doesn't have all the time in the world left.

He outlived his compatriots like Chris Okigbo, Chinua Achebe and Cyril Ekwesi, who all fought for Biafra.

But the "one Nigeria" Wole Soyinka preferred, that came after the war, where there is massive corruption, disunity, endemic poverty, Boko haram and herdsmen killings.....

Was Chris Okigbo, Achebe and Ekwensi right to try and for what could have been a better future in Biafra?

I hope he someday answers.
Wole Soyinka is a national treasure. The man have seen so much.

Uchek:
I totally agree with you about how the structure of Nigeria - which ceded so much power to Abuja - captured by the North is the enabler of Northern domination and southern exploitatin

The mega question is:

how did the North rig the structure of Nigeria to their favor but disadvantage of the South?
What were the South doing - particularly Igbo and Yoruba - when North was manipulating the structure and system?
Who is disproportionately responsible for the success of the North in rigging the structure?
You asked a good question. When Ironsi was killed, the northern soldiers who carried out the coup were shouting "araba" or something to that effect which means separation in hausa language. At this point I believe they didn't know how Ibos and Yoruba would react to the murder of Ironsi and Fajuyi.
The British embassy had a meeting with the coup plotters and told them separation will be a big mistake, the rest is history.

It's still a mirage to me as to how that reversing of car kill her. My question is: was there no one around the area when the car was reversing, cus even if she wasn't looking, some other people would have shouted stop stop to the driver or shouted at the lady to watch out.
I am driver and I know what I am saying. While reversing, even if it is common bucket or anything like that I want to hit, you will hear shout of people saying hey hey hey talk less of human being. Except no one was there which I doubt.
.
Now according to the information given to us by the NAF, they said after hitting her from the reverse, the driver still continue reversing till he climbed her or is it crushed her they said.
Now how is that possible, is the driver a mad man or lunatic that he wouldn't know he has hit something or someone the first time only for him to continue reversing and crushing her, and also wasn't he looking back to see her and know he has hit something or someone.
.
Even the occupants inside the car ought to know too and shout at him to stop stop.
So many things didn't add up here abeg.
.
Anyways may the soul of the departed rest in peace
Look at the damage to the back of the vehicle. How fast was he reversing?

Obasanjo appointed more ibos than Yoruba. It was not 50 years ago. Why all the lies.
I hope you people are not going into your shadow mode again.

PROUDIGBO:
While not holding brief for Ironsi (i see him as the same naive and eager-to-please 'one Nigerian' Igbo like his kinsfolk Zik and later, GEJ), there were other dictators from other ethnicities that subsequently came after him! You're zeroing in on his actions while ignoring the subsequent actions/inactions of those that followed. Why couldn't they rectify the 'sin' he committed, or was said 'sin' made immutable and written in the stars for all ages?

I believe, as naive as Ironsi was, that he promulgated the unification decree for command-and-control purposes, since they were under military rule at the time and he needed to have the commanders he sent to the regions to be answerable to him. I agree with you though that, had he used a cyrstal ball to look into the future and see the later ramifications of his action, that he would probably not have gone ahead with it. But as they say, hindsight is twenty-twenty vision innit?
You don't need a crystal ball to know that a unitary system is doomed to fail in a country like Nigeria. The British did not even contemplate it when they were leaving.
As for why other dictators after Ironsi did not reverse what he did. Why should they? He basically handed the entire country over to the North and you want them to reject it?

PROUDIGBO:
That Lagos is overpopulated and congested is mainly down to the Nigerian political-economy in place since the late 60s to date! It’s a consequence of being greedy, avaricious, clever-by-half, and vindictive!

If you want Lagos decongested, support the secession of Ndigbo from your ‘one Nigeria’ then you’d stop seeing Ekene heading to Lagos filled with the ‘hated’ Igbo! Instead, you and your darling Fulani compatriots will keep Lagos all to yourselves....i’m sure you’ll both get on like a house on fire!

Remember, the ‘one Nigeria’ you see today is what your parents fought for, so you’re in no position to complain, insofar as the people in those Ekene still remain Nigerians’!
This is funny and sad at the same time. Ibadan was the happening place for the old western region and I believe Enugu and the other regional capitals served the same purpose for their various regions.
Ibadan got a TV station before Lagos and it was the largest city in all of west Africa.
Everything changed when the military came, destroyed the regions and concentrated power in Lagos.
Abuja today is serving the same purpose. The regions were basically stymied and made subservient to the center up till today.
Your story is sad because it was an ibo dictator who set the ball rolling. If only he knew the consequences of his actions on his own people.
PoliticsRe: Reasons Why BIAFRA Would Be Difficult (opinion) by Guestlander: 10:24pm On Jul 24, 2020

Are Nigerians united? Are Igbos,Yorubas and Hausas united? If there is there is no unity in Nigeria, but there is Nigeria, then there is no reason why there cant be Biafra, no matter the level of unity amongst Igbos

In Biafra, there will be full resource control. When people control their resources, the issue of who leads wont be so important

Lagos is by far the smallest state in Nigeria. But Lagos has over 20 million people. If just Lagos can contain more than 20 million people, then just Abia state, which is twice the size of Lagos State, can contain more than 40 million Igbos.
This is precisely why a lot of the criticism directed at the leaders in Lagos are unfair. 20 million people in such a small area and some people are still packing their belongings right for the next trip with Ekenedili Chukwu.
If you can lead Lagos successfully, leading Nigeria shouldn't be a problem.
