The analogy is flawed since both brothers already have two eyes each to start with. It would have made more sense for the first brother to get an extra eye making three, so his his brother can walk around with four eyes.
On a serious note, the number one problem with Africa is greed and incompetent leaders. |

Yoruba sef.... thought Yoruba even say Gej scammed igbos with azikiwe....

flyingpig: the issue of restructuring becomes your campaign in order to distract the nigerian presidency of igbo extraction campaign, but guess what? It is dead on arrival. Even northerners don't want restructuring. It will be a grave mistake for Ibos not to support the restructuring of Nigeria. It will only equal the Ironsi mistake in the long list of ibo mistakes in Nigeria. Whether you support it or not, it will not stop the Yoruba people from demanding what they think is the best way for them. |

flyingpig: between the three past presidents only buhari has made genuine efforts to re-position his origin. Most of the n-power awardees come from North, there is kano-kaduna rail, there is Lagos to Kano rail, there is AKK; Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline, there is oil drilling on-going in the lake chad basin, he introduced BH deradicalization agenda, and much more. A nigerian president is very powerful. GEJ had no spine and couldn't favor his region, as for OBJ; his spout/vindictiveness with Tinubu in Lagos and Afenifere entirely ensured he didn't revamp his region. He even seized allocations to Local governments in Lagos just to frustrate Tinubu. Refused to build lagos-ibadan expressway. In both past southern presidents you can see they either lacked spine or had disunity in their region. If we can produce a man like Umahi I'm sure he'll address the lopsided infrastructure in SE. Go to ebonyi state and see for yourself. No doubt true federalism is the way to go, but if we can't get that why not settle for the next best thing which is presidency? SE campaigning for true federalism is akin to dashing SW the presidency cause northern Nigeria will vehemently oppose any southern region that wants to take away their stronghold on the rest of Nigeria. So we need the presidency its the only feasible feat, and not federalism or biafra. All we need is go on diplomacy and negotiation fulltime, already being the only southern zone not to have presidency is generating enough sympathy even in ss; Edwin Clarke supported it coming to SE. Let's not get carried away by restructuring and biafra and lose our best chance please. If we lose this and sw gets presidency, it's going to be 16years again before we get it cos sw rules 8years and North rules another 8years. Best chance is now don't be distracted. Why can't we get true federalism? That is the basis on which Nigeria became a country and that is the only sure way for Nigeria to remain a country. Now, let's say Umahi became president like you said and devoted time and energy in developing the SE what stops the next president from the middle belt from focusing his attention solely on the middle belt? Is that how to run a country? Your reason for the presidency is completely selfish and most Nigerians will not go with it. |

Why do you hate igbo? Who are obvious majority in Apc... or you can bring 19’ election results to prove otherwise But you guys always claim Amaechi is Igbo! I can't imagine opposing a Yoruba from Kwara or Kogi because that will be insane. Ameachi is an Igbo man I can trust what is your problem with that? |

Dpharisee: Buhari and APC got less votes in 2019 than 2015 in the SW. APC lost Oyo state to PDP in 2019 and there PDP has a stronghold in the SW. Now that Igbos know the propaganda by Yoruba Muslims, it's time to start showcasing Igbos and doing counter propaganda to avoid what happened in 1966 when Major Ademulegun and Nzeogwu planned a coup the Yorubas succeeded in terming it an Igbo coup. They are back at the old trick again Ifeajuna planned the coup. We will do everything to always set the records straight from the onslaught of misinformation and deliberate distortions. |

flyingpig: I think your ideas are a result of the mal-administration and poor representation of past igbo leaders in federal level. This is reason why enough lobby must produce a nigerian president of igbo origin, who genuinely understands the skewed investment spread in Nigeria and work to balance it in the SE. He can do this by the following;
Revamp our railway sector to promote ease of cargo transportation. Renovate all federal roads in SE to ease the cost of goods and commodities. Increase fertilisation distribution in agrarian states like ebonyi and anambra, which will in turn enhance agric yield and reduce cost of food. Attract investors to east by mining minerals located in SE which had been left undeveloped. This will produce jobs for indigenes of the state and increase the state's IGR. Enhance the efficiency of goods importation in Apapa port. This is a sector dominated by Igbos. Eliminate the countless police road blocks that litter the SE and increases cost of items down there. Finally, make at least one SE state a true international airport in the scale of Lagos airport.
This is not much and can only be achieved by a committed president of igbo extraction. To ensure the delivery of all of this, a dedicated man must be in charge of the number one seat. This is where I disqualify orji uzor kalu because of the rot he left in Abia state. I support Umahi because of the revamping he has brought about in ebonyi state. Sadly, orji uzor has better wellbeing among northern elites than umahi, he stands better chance of becoming elected president, despite Umahi's high chances of developing the east. Many of you don't understand the complexities of your own country. I can assure you now that all those things you think an Ibo president will be able to do for the SE will not happen. You only need to look at what Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari have been able to achieve for their respective regions in relation to other regions. Only a SE government in a proper federation can truly develop the SE. |

Bannylove13: Igbos must start countering Yoruba on this new propaganda of igbos are major in pdp only..
Igbos are majority in the two parties...
Check 19’ elections and see how much vote igbos have Apc
Same igbos are-ministers governors diplomats in same Apc government
Yet Yoruba out of fear will shout igbos and pdp
Na so dia propaganda Dey take start ... play play testing waters ... to unleash the very propaganda
The earlier igbos counter this the better
Make we all head to Apc primaries... north east south all of us...
Smear campaign and propaganda by Yoruba on Apc and igbos failed before the start What propaganda? Who doesn't know that the majority of Ibos support the PDP? Are you trying to deny what is known to everyone? |

Ezennwa: hmm!
All we are asking is for APC and PDP to zone their presidential slot to Igbo.
APC should give their presidential ticket to an Igbo man, PDP should also give it's presidential ticket to an Igbo man, and the agitation for Biafra will die a terrible death.
Is that too hard for Nigerians?? Why should we do that? This is not like the Abiola case where the winner was robbed. What would the basis for doing that and why shouldn't we do the same for the remaining 250 groups in Nigeria? |
Politics › Re: 2023 Presidency: Fresh Hurdles Before Ndigbo by Guestlander: 3:35pm On Aug 09, 2020 |
Bannylove13: Fear fear Yoruba man ...... balderdash!
You people should go and face your fears... at Apc primaries
Igbos will contest primaries in Apc ... deal with it.. and if they win primaries.. is it
No amount of Yoruba blackmail and smear campaign will stop the primaries...
Pdp is a difference from Apc ... if Yoruba vex make them contest pdp primaries..
All those Apc Yoruba gibberish is stale...
If Yoruba vex make them boycott.. its simple. Boycott the party they helped create? That is not going to happen. |
