Sorry but Iran currently has no S400 in her inventory. The s300 is Okay for Nigeria but i will go for the US patriot every time.. The s300 just has range advantages. The S400 is a better choice over it.
The Patriot cannot withstand S-400, Iran payed for S-300 but is now receiving an upgraded version from Russia which is almost like S-400.
Are you impressed with these 10 trucks being a national issue by our Air Force
Politics › Re: Airforce Acquires Honker Scorpion Vehicles To Tackle Terrorism by Guyman02: 9:59am On Jun 03, 2016
Iran just upgraded their air defence system with Russian S-300 missile defence system for their Airforce and Nigeria as the 'giant' of Africa is cheering 10 Maruti trucks that its equivalent can be made by Innoson motors without importing the trucks itself but just the communication gadgets.

We need to move up and stop making a mockery of ourselves.

Politics › Re: What Was Jonathan's Achievement In The Niger Delta In 5 Years Of His Presidency? by Guyman02: 2:42pm On Jun 02, 2016
He built bridges and infrastructure across Nigeria mostly in the North and tried to balance all appointments into key positions in Nigeria and they unleashed Boko hram on him, compare that to Buhari who is focused on the same North instead of vice versa

Personally I think something may be wrong with the president health wise. He appeared frail and sick in his democracy day broadcast and he has been cancelling official visits and movements off late. Even accessing him at Aso Rock is a cumbersome thing.

Let's hope and pray he is well!
he is well, the security threat from Avengers and IPOB mourning the killing of their members appears to be real. He is only following normal advise, this is why Obama can only sneak into countries like Iraq and Afghanistan unannounced.
Politics › Re: Militants Back Pro-biafra Agitators, Give FG June 3 Ultimatum: PUNCH by Guyman02: 10:20am On Jun 02, 2016
A division between South South and South East which South West and North have kept since independence have been destroyed by Buhari, Gowon maintained it by giving properties left behind by fleeing Igbos during the civil war in the South South to the indigenes so as to create continuous enmity; Buharis sectionalism has united them after years of suspicion of each other.

The incompetence of the Northern Nigerian Army is putting soldiers who are not trained in amphibious warfare on boats in the Niger Delta creeks to easily get drowned because they cannot swim during a mishap and losing several men.

Am in a similar shoe with the OP. Kindly read my own story too and advice me on my choice.

I'm a student from the best University in Nigeria. I study History and International Studies. Am in my second year. Presently, am faced with a puzzle. Firstly, am a student politician/unionist/leader. I currently serve as the General Secretary of my Faculty. A position I took as the youngest in the History of my institution. Based on my track records, leadership qualities and innovative ideas, the Students' populace are urging me to test the waters of Students' Union leadership. However, am contemplating pulling out of Campus politics so as to explore other opportunities as an undergraduate. These opportunities includes - Taostmaters international programmes and certificates, debates, conferences, lectures etc. For instance, I will be a delegate at an upcoming United Nations programme. Am a decent 2'1 student, and I thirst to study harder to increase my CGPA that has dwindled as a result of my participation in campus politics. Campus politics consumes lots of money, time and energy. And even when you emerge, it brings about more stress and problems to face.

In terms of money, am okay, I lack no basic needs as am not even into campus politics for money but for the life lessons one learns from it. In terms of connection, am closer to my VC than even some SUG representatives as he loves the ideas I bring on board.

In summary, I want to focus more on my studies and seal my 2'1. I also want to explore other aspects of international opportunities like Toastmasters international, UN models, conferences, debates , improved scholarship et al.

More so, I already received a certificate of honour from the University authorities for my leadership qualities and contributions.

However, I believe am a born leader, filled with ideas and I evidently can serve the Student populace the best way possible. I see myself as a missing link. What is neeeded.

I can't combine the two, one has to step down for the other.

I plan to proceed to the United States for my postgraduate after my degree in Nigeria.

Your advice?

This happens to be the biggest decision of my life.
My advise is for you to follow your instincts, if a higher percentage of it says focus entirely on academics then so be it, but if the inner you says combine the two then you have to aspire. But my candid advise is not to focus entirely on academics since you have a flair for politics; your political tentacles can be groomed while still in school, even after school it helps you a lot as a neophyte in the corporate world to start understanding boardroom politics. Pat Utomi was a special adviser to Shagari at age 22 after graduating with outstanding grade despite being a student union leader.

You get to know a lot of people and learn from interactions at meetings about human behavioural patterns which can be applied in real life after school, many of the contacts you make and fellow students you assist by your activism may help you in future one way or the other.
I give you an example, I had a mate in the university, his name is Daniel Onjeh, he is the guy who contested against former Senate President David Mark and the nation stood still for him, he lost but everyone believes he belongs to the future young people who will take over the mantle of leadership in the state or country, he participated in school politics and became SUG President and today the exposure he got from it is what he is using today.
Follow your instinct and banish fear of failure if you engage in clean politics from your heart, ensure that you use your time well and not engage in unnecessary fights with the authorities on things you can take directly to the VC since you have access to him and sort out for the good of fellow students.

Education › Re: Academics And Politics: Can I Combine The Two In The University? by Guyman02: 5:11pm On Jun 01, 2016
You can combine the two effectively if you know how to use your time well. You can still maintain your first class position as long as you dont cross the path of your lecturers in the process of playing politics. Ensure that you play clean politics and not get involved in misapproapriating association funds.
Politics › Re: Buhari Neglected Utomi, Falae, Ezekwesili For ‘mosquito Economic Team’ – Fasheun by Guyman02: 4:21pm On Jun 01, 2016
Many of us here thought that the likes of seasoned economists like Pat Utomi and Kalu Idika Kalu will form part of his kitchen cabinet and the nucleus of his economic strategy, but he was too sentimental in filling his cabinet with Northerners and considered them perhaps as citizens of 5% regions.

Kemi Adeosun is still studying from economics textbooks, the type we read for WAEC and presenting same in British accented English, in reality she is still a neophyte in international economic affairs, although I feel she is learning very fast on the job; but we actually didn't need a learner in times like this unfortunately and a lot of damage has been done to the economy already.

If you had watched Wike's interactive session with Rivers people at the weekend you wont be spewing this propaganda. He has even asked the FG to allow him to complete the rehabilitation of the Portharcourt Int'l Airport and called on Buhari to hasten up the cleanup of Ogoni land and other areas in Rivers State.
This is another failed propaganda by APC. I see Wike as an 'agbero' but I dislike APC propaganda more; they seem to have forgotten that they are no longer in opposition.
Crime › Re: Jungle Justice In Nigeria – Do Or Don’t by Guyman02: 12:47pm On Jun 01, 2016
We say NO to jungle justice, but it shows that we are still in a primitive society and the citizens no longer believe in the State to protect them which is the key reason Nigeria needs to be restructured (as collaborated by Atiku Abubakar yesterday) so that areas that want to be left behind can be left behind and not be a hindrance to those who want to move forward
