me-think CAN is just bein un-serious here. Muslim can wear hijab. I remembered in my secondary years, they forced us to sing all christian songs and even read bible despite that we are muslim. can you try it with them?
At least they allowed you into their school; here in the North you cannot be admitted into a Muslim school if you are Christian except you denounce your religion for Islam.

Wonderful international politics. What caused the emergence of Eastern Libya as an independent state?
The East (Cyrenaica) feel that the West is backing western Libya since the murder of Gaddafi to subjugate them. The first tranche of $700m worth of Dinar printed in UK for Libya Central Bank did not get to them in the amount they expected and therefore decided to print their own currency and they feel that since the oil is in their area they should control it.

What they have done is to align themselves with Russia who can protect them at the UNSC from western attempts to invade them. But as at today America is dropping bombs on the East under the guise of fighting ISIS in Libya but in actually fact they are helping their stooge in Tripoli to expand their territory. its a divide and rule tactics and has nothing to do with Freedom and Democracy.

Now the East has started to ship OIL while Britain has proposed a draft resolution at the UN to enable Nato warships search for weapons in the Mediterranean sea; this is a ploy to prevent ships from the East shipping oil out of Libya. So the Chinese are coming with their ships to lift crude and will not allow Nato to board their vessels.

One of our major problems is that we dont take time to study international politics, it has effect on your own economy, because of the crisis in Libya Boko Haram gets their weapons from there and this has affected our economy; I want to show you the link but you are too ignorant to understand.
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is an icon because she understands international economic politics which our beautiful Kemi Adeosun is still studying.

When will Igbos and Yorubas stop bashing themselves on Nairaland?
Is it not better for them to batter themselves on NL than behead each other like some Northerners do to people of different ideology?.
The reality is that the level of intermarriage and fcking each other is very high between the Igbos and Yorubas grin and therefore they hardly go physical.
Like me I have Yoruba cousins who are close to me and I cant say anything bad about them because we are same blood but I can hide under a pseudonym and bash them online and I think they also do the same thing, I am afraid to engage a Yoruba in a fight because he or she may end up being my blood relation or extended family in-law whom I have never met grin grin

Business › Re: CBN Floats The Naira, The Implications For You And I by Guyman02:
I want to digress to Libya Central bank from our own CBN as international economic politics also has its effects on our own policies and we need to be enlightened to some of it.

How many people here know that Libya now has 2 currencies and 2 Central banks in Tripoli and Tobruk with 2 different governments since after Nato and CIA backed regime change of giving Libya 'Freedom and Democracy'?.
The Central bank in Eastern Libya has its Dinar now printed in Moscow Russia (recognized by Russia and China) while the Central Bank in Tripoli prints a different Dinar in London recognized by US and the West.

The IMF recognizes the Central Bank Governor of Eastern Libya as legitimate but not the bank while the Bank in Tripoli is recognized as legitimate but not the Governor. Confusion!

Russia and China have decided to also get their fair share of Libya resources as the country is now on the verge of partition like Ukraine by supporting the Government in Eastern Libya led by General Khalifa Haftar against the UN backed Unity Government of Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj in Tripoli.
Most of the oil is in Eastern Libya and the West has decided to back the militia group called 'the Dawn' from Misrata as the new Presidential guard and a new war is anticipated to commence soon to recapture Eastern Libya from Russian and China backed Libyan National Army led by Gen Haftar by the western backed militia.

This is how Libya is been exploited (its like another scramble for Africa) since the murder of Gaddafi by Nato backed forces as most of the Libyan gold reserves and money about $200b in foreign reserves have been stolen by western banksters but the complicit western media prefers to use the word 'frozen' Libyan accounts..

This is why many of us were angry with PMB when he calls us corrupt in front of western press and leaders who loot the continent in connivance with their installed puppets. But his epic response to David Cameron (no apology wanted just return our stolen funds) has shown that he is learning fast on the international political arena.

When PDP was in power security personnel were bribing their superiors to be posted to Presidential guards and they were envied by their colleagues as they lived large with all the various allowances and training programs both local and foreign.

Many who bribed their way to Aso Villa when PMB came into office are yet to recover their 'investments' and are now grumbling. If places like NNPC and CBN are done the same way and made less lucrative, the issue of children of the highly placed being 'targeted' for recruitment will disappear and everyone will apply for N-POWER. grin

This marketers should be more concerned about under dispencing by their members.

In Abuja the 3 most reliable petrol stations:
1. NNPC mega stations at Central Area and Kubwa expressway.
2. Yaman filling Station at Area 3 Garki
3. Conoil opposite NNPC headquarters

Baddest under dispensing stations in Abuja
1. Conoil at Area 1 Garki
2. Iluobe 'fake' NNPC mega station at Wuse market
3. Forte Oil at Maitama adjacent NUC and opposite Hilton Hotel
4. All Total filling stations
5. All Mobil filling Stations
If in doubt ask any taxi driver

This is a terrible news in this period of economic downturn. May God give the victims the courage to bear their losses and rebound fully. Amen! sad sad

IamPatriotic:
That den of criminals, the bastards under the market's pedestrian bridge will have a field day looting and stealing .
Thats my major concern, there are too many criminals in that area who will loot whatever can be salvaged. The irony is that if they are caught and reported to Mararaba Police Station, you will see them freed and back on the streets again in a matter of hours by the pedestrian bridge snatching bags.

makzeze:
POINT OF CORRECTION!

MARARABA is not in Abuja.
But it is 10 minutes drive from Aso Rock Villa while Abuja airport is 45 minutes from the Villa. Even Buhari can see it from his window and thats why people confuse it to be in Abuja.

Keeping a bucket of acid in her room means that her action was premeditated. If the landlord lives in the same compound whom she had just given her house rent just minutes apart, there is no way that nobody heard her screams when there was no loud music or rain storm.
This is a case of love gone sour. Sadly a life has been lost and she wants to LIE Mohammed herself out of it.

We say kudos to outgoing CAN president Pastor Ayo for standing with us Northern Christians against the onslaught by Boko Haram.
If he had applied a Pacifist approach it would have made things more difficult for us but he came out to address the UN and US congress and told the world that BH is a terrorist organization from onset, he made Christians to realize that we should not drop our guards against Boko Haram but be ready to defend our churches, families and land from invading jihadists.

Thank you Pastor Ayo and the Catholic Bishop of Maiduguri and other Christian leaders in the North for not allowing the Northern Christian zones to become another Constantinople in Turkey.

There is no honour killing in SW. Honour killing is a cultural thing and it dates back to pre-Islam eraundecided.
Tell me where honour killings is carried out that is not a Muslim country? The way it entered those areas including northern Nigeria where a woman is killed for blasphemy is how it will start in SW if not resisted now.

Its unfortunate if we Christians cant tolerate Muslims to wear just hijab to sch, at least we can see their faces, what our church leaders have problem with is schools established by missionaries being attended by Muslims in hijab, but they forgot that Jesus came for everyone both the believers and un believers.
You not get sense. If the people of Plateau and Taraba had not resisted the jihadists Dan Fodio because of 'tolerance' they would have been like Hausas of Kano and Yorubas of Ilorin who lost their culture to Arabised Fulanis or the Armenians who lost Turkey to Muslim invaders.
If the Spaniards had not resisted the Muslims today Madrid and Barcelona would have been Muslim cities

That is it. Even Rev. sisters wear hijab. What amaze me particularly is every policy of government is being politicize. can't we just pause and assess fundamental rationale behind every policy before we respond?
My children attend a school owned by a christian. the man instruct every muslim female student to wear hijab. i attended christian school prefferably Roman Catholic Mission and we had Islamic teacher then. My muslim and christian brothers, where is that understanding now? Every body claim to be holier than thou and i can impute everything on Nigeria politics
A Muslim school will never allow a Christian teacher just like a Muslim man will celebrate his son marrying a Christian girl but will disown or kill (family honour killing) his daughter who decides to date or marry a Christian man.

Christians girls should understand that while they fall in love with Muslims under 'tolerance' their own brothers will not be allowed to fall in love with Muslim girls. Muslim parents see their sons marrying Christians as conquest for Allah and increasing their fold while there girls going for a Christian man is seen as a lost for Allah and increase for Christians which should not be allowed and rather it is better that the girl is eliminated than have children for Christians and increase their number.

Fundamentalism creeping in; this was how it started in America with liberals tolerating Muslim immigrants to do their imported Islamic culture how they like. Now there is mass shootings, for years in the South West beret has always been worn by female students and suddenly hijab and burqa has crept in, Christians and traditionalists should not be liberal about and it must resist Islamic fundamentalism before it escalates into every facet of life.

North dont care much about degrees as long as they still have Niger Delta OYEL under their control. They easily get admission with IJMB and Pre-degree programmes into courses of their choice and then get 'targeted recruitment' from CBN and NNPC.

They dont spend money buying jamb forms that will give people from Imo unmarketable courses which they did not apply for like History, sociology, philosophy, forestry that CBN and NNPC will not 'target' them for employment.

“Can you imagine fighting a war and the people you were trying to protect were thinking that soldiers out there on the streets of Maiduguri, were an army of occupation, which brought a lot of political dimension to the issues.

And the same northerners who refused to support the Nigerian Army and saw them as an occupying force still blame GEJ for failing to crush BH.

Now see what the political dimension in the same war on terror between US and Russia can do. While US supports terrorists (called rebels by western media) for regime change, Russia supports the legitimate Govt of Assad to stay in power.

The intolerance of osun Christians caused all this. Everyone knows that hijab is part of the dressings of a Muslim woman
Yes, in a Muslim owned schools not public schools; it is Muslims who are intolerant with people who are ready to behead an ignorant Christian for blasphemy, what if a girl comes to school bra-less as in some cultures.

I am afraid that a Muslim mass shooter can enter a school and it will be easy to now sort out Muslims and non Muslims in a class for execution

The environment where you are born and bred into adulthood can mold you, though it doesnt change your tribe. The Yoruba boy who grew up in Ikoyi GRA with a driver that takes him to school and access to modern toys and the Yoruba boy who grew up in Mushin who treks to school and improvises for his own toys cannot see life from the same perspective, the Yoruba boy in Ikoyi GRA will be more closer to his Igbo friend of the same status than to his fellow Yoruba boy doing conductor in Mushin.
