That reminds me - Where is Madam Dora? Anyone knows?
She is busy reminiscing on her NAFDAC days with the launching of a book about her days in NAFDAC. She has nothing to show about her stint as Minister of Information except for that memo on UMYA and the failed rebranding project and the washing of dirty linen in public between her and her brother in law Soludo.

Abuse:
GEJ talks too much.Edwin Clarke's mouth will make him not rule this country in 2011 cos he accuses his fellow Northern elders on the pages of the newspapers instead of calling them for a round table discussion.I see you becoming the first incumbent president in the history of Nigeria to loss an election. BET WIT ME.!!!!
GEJ needs to stay clear of Edwin Clark, I recall his recent comment that the North should support the South South because they helped them in their fight against Biafra as if Philip Effiong and other Galant Biafran soldiers were not from the present S/S geopolitical zone. Such idiotic comments from people like Clark can cost GEJ dearly if Nigerians start seeing it as reflection GEJ position on issues
Family › Re: Celine Dion Delivers Twins! Do Women Deliver At 42? by Guyman02: 10:20am On Oct 26, 2010
@Poster, the problem with some ladies at your age especially those from the South East like you is yourselves. At younger ages you build up a utopian idea of what an ideal husband should look and be like forgeting that no one is created perfect.
You reject prospective suitors on mundane thoughts such as oh! he is very short, he is fat, he is not rich enough, he claims to be a born again and is not a socialite etc. I have even seen ladies calling off marriage proposals because their parents said 'No you cant marry that man because he is an Osu outcast' or he is an Ofe nmanu man etc. Surprisingly, as time flies so fast, they soon get to a point where they are praying desperately for God to send them a responsible man even if he is an Osu, Ofen nmanu, Aboki at old age and they hold a lot of grievances in their hearts against their relations who cost them their best chances of havng a family at younger ages.
^^ where exactly is it stated in the constitution that sharia law is the standard for ALL muslims in such cases?

I understand that the supreme court has not ruled on the constitutionality of various punishments and codes under sharia law -I believe we can take a quick glance at the composition of that dishonorable bench over the years and guess the reasons for that- But that could also mean that sharia law is not constitutional and some misguided fanatics are just forcing their own morbid cultural and religious desires on a secular society.

I hope this lady and a good lawyer will make a name for themselves, take this case up to the Supreme Court and challenge the constitutionality of an overbroad Sharia law. That is how we set precedents and strengthen the law. I will be excited to read how this Sharia thing will be constitutionally argued and decided.
You want the fanatics you mentioned to declare a FATWA on the innocent lady for challenging sharia law at the Supreme Court? It takes only a bearded malam to declare her an infidel and apostate. If the police comes to her rescue, they will vent their anger on Christians around the neighbourhood and rioting starts. I have lived in the North for too long to dread this kind of situation. All the lady wants is to be allowed to marry the man she is engaged to for 5yrs. Shikena!

Politics › Re: Fg Approves N10.3bn For Enugu Airport by Guyman02: 11:23am On Oct 22, 2010
There was a plan to build a 2500 MW coal fired power plant in Enugu with a 750KV super transmission grid from Enugu to Markudi and Yola during IBB's regime which my boss was part of the feasibility studies team; unfortunately when they presented the amount it would cost to erect such a huge project that would have benefited the whole country IBB's govt threw it out on sentiments by asking why they should spend such huge amounts on 'Biafran' territory. Today we are still facing epilectic power supply with only 3500MW generation.

This airport is a welcome development, because it is only the South East region that dioesnt have one in the country.

After thoroughly yabbing GEJ over the Chilean Minners rescue if it had happened in Nigeria, I was happy to see him yesterday at Oyan Dam Ogun State mingling with flood victims in company of Fashola and Gbenga Daniel. Thats a good development when you compare him with IBB who flew over the site of the  C-130 plane crash in Ejigbo after several days of the incident without caring much about the rescue of the military personnel who perished or Obasanjo who yabbed the victims of the Lagos bomb explosions before later realising the enormity of his comments.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Rules Out Sovereign National Conference by Guyman02: 10:47am On Oct 22, 2010
We have had SNC before attended by the people in this picture who were members of the class of 1966 and three of whom have ruled this country for more than 30 of our 50 years as a nation. They have run things since 1966 and still want to continue by calling for SNC now so that leadership will be zoned on North (Fulani) and South (Ibo and Yoruba) bases with no chance for the minorities. Jonathans chances will be jeopadised by an SNC at this point.

@Hauwa; Do you also know that when men cheat, the guilty conscience they feel after doing it make them to show more care and love to their spouses. When a man visits his GF, there is a tendency that that is when he thinks of taking home that gold ring his wife has been requesting from him for a long while and shes happy and the man is also happy to have escaped been caught by her. grin grin The adventure involved in cheating without been caught makes men want to cheat.

The fact is that the police were overwhelmed. People in Aba know this hide outs and the police cant get into those dens without them being killed, until the Feds came to the rescue. That priest seems to be the only one remaining in that village. All the people have disappeared to avoid indiscriminate arrest and gunshots from soldiers. Osisi ka nkwu, Stone and Susu ask Theodore Orji and Orji Uzor Kalu about there whereabouts because they used them to rig elections!

Politics › Re: Osisikankwu, Leader Of Aba-based Kidnap Gang, Declared Wanted by Guyman02: 2:42pm On Oct 11, 2010
Schools are yet to resume in Aba, Banks are yet to reopen. The people are very scared of even mentioning the name of Osisikankwu. They dont have any trust on the police to pass information on the where abouts of the kidnappers in their mists to them. The security forces are relying on info from places like NL with credits to Slap1 and others.

I call on people in Aba who have assess to the Net to give more tips anonymously about the pertrators and their hide outs safely thru NL.
The two Okijarised political pr0stitutes TA and OUK are the problem of Abia State, who keep running helter skelter; from PDP to PPA, from PPA to APGA, from APGA to PDP, from PDP now back to PPA. They know the kigpins including Akomas who is facing charges for kidnapping,
All the corpses of people murdered by this gangs must be recovered by the security agencies from the forests and hideouts and identified.

Police are involved in kidnapping, thats why they couldnt tame it, its only soldiers that can deal with the situation and they are succeeding. see this thread.

My father always told me "Do not leave the comfort of your house for anything unnecessary". I abide by that.
My opinion is that the 50th independence celebration was unnecessary and so I didn't go out. Probably if the parents would have told them that, they would still be alive today.
You are nothing but a complete dumb-ass yansh-hole. What did your father achieve by sitting at home all his life, your comments is a reflection of the kind of idiotic upbringing he gave to you. Whether the celebration was necessary or not is no reason for them to have been murdered by fellow citizens. GEJ has appointed Gen. Andrew Azazi as the New National Security Adviser (NSA) as a fallout from the dastardly bombing incident.

Wish they or their family members were involved, maybe the sad comments would have been minimal, but remember- what goes around comes around. It may be your turn or your family member tomorrow, and i bet you, others will be right here making jest of the event and calling it not only Nollywood, but Hollywood, Ghollywood and even Tozzywood. Silly.
Its sad to see people on NL pouring insults on innocent Nigerians and Kids who perished as result of the bombing and trying to blame them for going to celebrate their nation despite its woes. Like I said earlier; that bomb could have been placed in a market place anywhere in Nigeria and anyone or your relation could have been victims.
I go swear for any retarded i.dio.t  who sits on a computer and spew trash on those innocent Nigerians who lost their lives and the injured through bombs placed on vehicles by their fellow citizens to murder them in cold blood. Be warned you could be the next victim.  angry angry angry huh huh huh

This are some of the pictures I took at the Independence anniversary event at Eagle Square. My only disappointment was that virtually all the military hard wares were imported from other countries.
I thought to myself; if the Biafran rebels were able to build Armoured Personnel Carriers similar to the ones displayed here 40 years ago, how come 50 years after independence we are still importing same equipments?
I feel that the brains of youths in this country are under-utilised. Come on guys we can build and assemble some of the military equipments displayed if given the opportunity; any contrary view in the house?

AMIDST parades, combat match equipment and aerial displays by troops and formations of the military, paramilitary and school children, the final activities for the celebration of Nigeria's 50th independence anniversary came to an end at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

The celebrations was witnessed by President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, members of the National Assembly, former Heads of State and Presidents of Nigeria and 14 Presidents of African nations.

Although some people tried to distrupt the 50th Independence Anniversary in Abuja by setting off bombs at the Eagle Square; I captured some of the great moments at the event.
More pictures can be added even as we continue to pay tributes to the innocent Nigerians who lost their lives just outside the main bowl. It could have been worse if they had succeeded in taking their bomb laden vehicle into the venue as was planned; just look at the crowd and the disaster a bomb blast and stampede would have done!!!
