Politics › Re: Al Mustapha Freed by Guyman02: 11:07am On Dec 22, 2010
totorimi:
The planned release of Al-Mustapha is also expected to boost the chances of President Jonathan in securing the support of the North for his rumoured bid to contest for the office next year. Key gladiators in the race are from the North, particularly former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and another former military ruler, Major General Muhammadu Buhari.

According to a Northern leader, who is a former Military Administrator, there are fears in some quarters that the way Jonathan is going about the release of Mustapha, he (Jonathan) might appoint the former CSO as the National Security Adviser (NSA) to replace General Aliyu Gusau who recenly resigned his appointment to join the presidential race.

The source added: “After a series of meeting, people from the presidency have consistently told us that General Theophilus Danjuma is insisting on the release and elevation of Al-Mustapha as the NSA,” the source said, adding that releasing Mustapha would help Jonathan gain more northern support in 2011.

“If Jonathan releases Al-Mustapha, that will give him more support because a lot of people from the North love Mustapha and we want him released because we want a person in the age of Mustapha who should take up the mantle of leadership in the North.

Beer parlour jounalism. From prison straight to NSA; even a mad man will not do that. does he know the current trend and the challenges of terrorism. Do you also think that Major Almustapha will be better than the current NSA Lt Gen Andrew Azazi (a three star General)

It shows that the guy reads something (even if na dictionary) which GEJ and Soyinka are trying to entrench in our youths. The culture of reading should be advocated by all.

My sister complains that her hubby is too careful and too tidy. if she drops a glass of cold water on the center table to go to the kitchen, before she comes back he has returned the glass to the fridge and is busy cleaning the table of small water drops.

Even when they have visitors around and their kid drops a seed of rice on the dinning floor, he will rush to start sweeping and mopping while still discussing important issues with the guests; next, he is dusting the TV set. All she does is to use killer looks to tell him to stop and prevent herself from screaming at him.

Romance › Re: How To Deal With A Stubborn Partner? by Guyman02: 2:06pm On Dec 17, 2010
Avoid argueing unnecesarily with him.
Avoid exchanging words because that would aggravate the situation.
Let your suggestions go like these; in a subtle manner and low tone, after serving him his best dish and when he is relaxed, Honey dont you think that if you do it like this we can achieve a better result? am your partner and Iam here to compliment you.

Never use abusive language on him because that will give him an advantage to ignore you further and see you as emotionally unstable and therefore no useful advice can come from you.

Even when he makes a mistake by not following your advice, dont castigate him harshly.
If you continue to treat him with respect despite his shortfallings, with time he will come to adore your suggestions and respect you better as a partner in progress.
Always go to God in prayer and seek his divine mercy upon him and you.

Politics › Re: What Made Nigeria So Populated by Guyman02: 10:58am On Dec 17, 2010
There is no tribe in Nigeria called Hausa-Fulani, we only have Hausa as tribe and Fulani as a different tribe. The term Hausa-Fulani is a political phrase used by Fulani elites during electios to curry the favour of the majority Hausa tribe in the North. While the Hausas speak Hausa language as their dialect, the Fulanis speak Fulfude.

The Fulanis overthrew the majority Hausa leadership and installed their people as Emirs from Sokoto to Kano, Zaria down to Ilorin and use Islam as an opium to hold down the Hausas to see the Fulani Emirs as nearest to Allah based on the teachings of the foremost jihadist Uthman Dan Fodio.

While the Fulanis are among the most educated in the North, illiteracy is more prevalent among the Hausas who are encouraged by Fulani leaders to send their children to pass through the Almajiri sytem of education which encourages loyalty to the Emir 'who is appointed by Allah' and the Fulani Emir ruling the Hausas calls himself a Hausa-Fulani man.
We have Normadic Fulani cattle rearers who contribute immensely to the economy and not Fulani Almajiri.

Checkout all the key elite politicians from the North, they are all Fulanis (Atiku, Buhari, Ribadu, Gusau, Ciroma etc) the Northern consensus candidate issue is purely a Fulani affair. To achieve Northern solidarity Atiku or Gusau will refer to himself as Hausa-Fulani because the Fulanis dont have the numbers like the Hausas.
Samething like GEJ refering to himself as Ijaw-Igbo or Izon-Yoruba man.

She was bypassed by GEJ as minister of information in place of her junior minister of state and she knew she just had to throw in the trowel and jump into another party.
Remember she had tried severally to call for PDP stakeholders meeting in Anambra which was totally boycotted by the party leaders in the state.
I remember Chris Uba asking who made her a PDP leader to call for a meeting.
Even if she wins APGA primaries, she may have to contest against Chris Ngige of ACN who is more formidable in Anambra than Dora for the senate seat,

Sometimes I doubt all these adverts tactfully placed here by different companies representatives. The other it was posted on the front page that DSTV now provides local Nigerian channels free on the expiration of  your subcription and everyone was commending DSTV, but it turned out to be a false story and  so many people rushed to go and buy DSTV dish abd decorders so as to be able to watch AIT, Channels, NTA, Silverbird TV etc. free.

Just to think that it took the military to nail him. SHAME ON THE NIGERIAN POLICE.
Osisi's girlfriend should be thoroughly interrogated. Definitely she will reveal so much more about their operations. I even believe she will be killed very soon in detention if she is handed over to the police because she will definitely implicate so many police officers involved in kidnapping in Aba.
I stand to be corrected.
The army should rather hand her over to the SSS for proper interogation to avoid the Boko Haram (Mohammed Yusuf) treatment by the Police who murdered him in detention after he was captured by the Army and handed over to the Police.

So we should "push" them out because they have been around for a long time. Is anybody complaining about the quality of work done by JB. Besides the people to lose their jobs according to this report are the aged, unfit to work and due for retirement.
The issue is not about how long they've being around or the quality of jobs, but the influence the have on our govt, controlling and deciding who gets what contract and inflating contracts prices, without allowing for competitive bidding. The build houses free for corrupt govt officals in Abuja and across the federation. They import most of the equipment and materials used in construction with little attempt to develop local production but enriching German firms back home.

Adding to the unemployment situation in naija. How can they sack them because Fed govt failed to release money for the over inflated contracts around Abuja?
Spending N64b to build an airport runway or padding the Abuja airport road with additional N2b and their MD publicly telling us its mathematical error?
We are waiting for more wikileaks on JB and Shell. Perhaps they are acting out a script by the US or British govt to create frustration among the citizens through mass retrenchment and force GEJ to do a particular bidding due to rising public resentment that this situation may create. We are now watching every single move of the multi nationals.  angry angry angry Nigerians; keep your eyes open, now that we know!

¶4. (S/NF) The Ambassador asked what Shell's thoughts were on any
potential for a coup. Pickard answered that there is little
intellectual capital to plan and execute a coup and Shell sees little
potential for one.

Now I know why many of us where prevented from gaining admission into the Nigeria Defence Academy back in time during the selection, the most intelligent candidates were craftly dropped mostly from some ethnic groups. A brilliant set of gallant officers were wasted in Ejigbo C-130 plane crash to dilute intellectual capital in the armed forces. WAOH!!
