Fayose is a disgrace to the Yoruba people and culture.

Fayose, "omo a se iru fun e"
And Obasanjo is a role model for the yoruba people like you abi? An elder that stays at home while the she-goat delivers in tethers? grin
Like the Igbo proverb says; if an adult intentionally pushes down a kid, he should not complain if a bad word comes out from the mouth of the kid; Obj got what he deserved,  Respect is reciprocal,

Politics › Re: Methodist Bishop Joins Abia Senatorial Race by Guyman02: 9:57am On Dec 06, 2010
Imo state has got better infrastructure than Abia. There is only one dual carriage way built in the State since the time of Mbakwe which runs from Abia tower to Okpara Square a distance of lessthan 2km. If Umuahia the state capital and Aba are the way you see them today, what will be the situation in the 21 LGA? Nothing, Nothing!!!
To get any appointment in the State till TA Orji quarelled with Eunice Orji Kalu you have to peel egusi (melon) for her and take a ritual oath,
All the people that the Gov gave taxis in the State have sold them to Rivers people because there is no road to use them in Abia. The only thing you see in Umuahia is yellow painted Keke Napep everywhere which is becoming an eye sore

Politics › Re: Methodist Bishop Joins Abia Senatorial Race by Guyman02: 1:14pm On Dec 04, 2010
Abia MUST be rescued from the hands of those Okijarised Orjis and given back to the people. The State has suffered so much with a lot of dreams wasted. Abia people must insist on One Man One Vote to remove Thief After Orji and his cohorts from power. Abia Gov has become ADC to GEJ  following him like a leach to commission projects in other states except his own Abia and hoping that will help him to secure a second term,

This guys are part of the problems of the SE region and should be rusting in jail by now. A man who vandalised Anambra State govt facilities in broad day light and kidnapped an 'illegal' sitting Governor and boasted about it in public but still moves around with a convoy of policemen payed with Nigeria tax payers money. Many things are definitely wrong with our system.

confetti:
What we need is not part time legislature but just to harmonize their payroll. I really don't know who should be responsible for this but what we need is to synchronize their pay both salaries and allowances at a percentage of the National minimum wage. This will definitely make it unattractive and thus will give room for true leaders who have the mind for service to the pple,
Kpom kwem!!!! Full stop. N18,000 minumum wage for the legislators. Did you see the face of that prisoner Omisore (typical crook/Agbero) trying to force Sanusi to appologise for saying the truth publicly?
Politics › Re: Abia Commences Work On Cement Factory by Guyman02: 12:40pm On Dec 02, 2010
This is nothing but a cement rebagging outpost. T.A Orji is a joke always running around with GEJ as if he is now the ADC. That man has turned Abia into the poorest state in Naija and a haven of kidnappers till the feds intervened. He just announced that he will start implementing N18,000 minimum wage, meanwhile, civil servants in the state are still being owed backlog of unpaid salaries.
Revive the brewery and ceramic factories in the state and leave the private sector to build cement factories. BTW how much is Abia state contributing to that project, so that EFCC can have it on record. yeye Govanor. huh huh

You just said it all.  Do you know that Chinese are selling pirated Nollywood movies across Africa?
Did you see Genevieve on CNN the other shining. Even the Americans know the effect of Nollywood in Africa. Why is every presidential and govership aspirant seeking the face of Nollywood actors/actresses in their campaigns?
Did you watch the kind of reception Aki (mon) received in Namibia on NN24 the other day which was really overwhelming.
Go to Niger republic and Chad all they watch there is Hausa films, while Yoruba films are all over Benin republic and Togo. Lets value what we have in Naija (no apology to Aunty Dora).

There is also an imported baby pampers from China which is presently giving a lot of kids rashes. Its no surprise, same thing with maloxine malaria tablets that the original manufacture had stopped producing since 2003 but was been sold in Nigeria until NAFDAC raised alarm.
Until we change from being a consuming to a producing nation this kinds of situation will continue.

I checked out the meaning of Gambadoism from encarta:

Gambado: 1) low jump by horse: , a low leap in which the horse has all four feet off the ground

2) prank: a prank or escapade

He could as well have called it 'legislative prank'
Meen, this guy spends a lot of time reading the dictionary  grin
Kudos to Hon Patrick; he did nothing wrong by apologising, afterall he has made his point public. He who fights the PDP hawks and crooks in the National Assembly and runs away, lives to legislate another day!
Politics › Re: Emeagwali Lied Again! by Guyman02: 10:55am On Nov 22, 2010
maintain10:
It's hard to say who invented the Internet. There were many mathematicians and scientists who contributed to its development; computers were sending signals to each other as early as the 1950s. But the Web owes much of its existence to Philip Emeagwali, a math whiz who came up with the formula for allowing a large number of computers to communicate at once. Emeagwali was born to a poor family in Akure, Nigeria, in 1954. Despite his brain for math, he had to drop out of school because his family, who had become war refugees, could no longer afford to send him. The only step left was to find 8 machines and connect them. (Remember, it was the 80s.) Through research, he found a machine called the Connection Machine at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, which had sat unused after scientists had given up on figuring out how to make it simulate nuclear explosions. The machine was designed to run 65,536 interconnected microprocessors. In 1987, he applied for and was given permission to use the machine, and remotely from his Ann Arbor, Michigan, location he set the parameters and ran his program. In addition to correctly computing the amount of oil in the simulated reservoir, the machine was able to perform 3.1 billion calculations per second. The crux of the discovery was that Emeagwali had programmed each of the microprocessors to talk to six neighboring microprocessors at the same time. The success of this record-breaking experiment meant that there was now a practical and inexpensive way to use machines like this to speak to each other all over the world. Within a few years, the oil industry had seized upon this idea, then called the Hyperball International Network creating a virtual world wide web of ultrafast digital communication. The discovery earned him the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers' Gordon Bell Prize in 1989, considered the Nobel Prize of computing, and he was later hailed as one of the fathers of the Internet. Since then, he has won more than 100 prizes for his work and Apple computer has used his microprocessor technology in their Power Mac G4 model. Today he lives in Washington with his wife and son. "The Internet as we know it today did not cross my mind," Emeagwali told TIME. "I was hypothesizing a planetary-sized supercomputer and, broadly speaking, my focus was on how the present creates the future and how our image of the future inspires the present."
Thank God for this guy, Awolowo almost frustrated Philip by making his parents so poor with his 20 pound policy and using hunger as a weapon of war against the Igbos. I wonder how many Emeagwalis that were lost in the refugee camps that he survived?
Philip, Philip, Philip! How many times did I call you? Please ignore all this Amebos and Olofofos. Thank U!

A city girl will always look at you directly in the face and tell you to go to hell and remind you of 'WOMENs Rights,. Ask most guys married to city gals and they would tell you what they are passing through in their hands.

A village girl may not be very presentable, but she will always make you feel like an alpha male with plenty respect and by the time she go tear eye through your tutorials she must have passed her prime and you aint gonna have any fears about her running to another man.

A city gal can leave your house to visit another man and come back to tell you he is just my 'colleague or friend' and ask you, dont I have the right to visit my friends again? but a village gal cannot open her mouth and call another man her 'friend'

I am happy that an Ijaw man who I refer to as the 'Mourinho of African Football' is now Super Eagles coach. When he won the Silver at both under 20 and the Olympics did any oyinbo man know that he is from Bayelsa State? NO. They called him the Nigerian coach and not a coach of Ijaw origin. This thread no make sense at all, at all. I wouldnt mind seeing Almajiris in the Super Eagles winning the nations cup for Nigeria or Igala boys launching a rocket to the moon,  Lets say NO to ethnic jingoism.

They issue is that Siasia will not approve of NFF sending 50 delegates to Europe to go and watch a Nigerian player plying his trade for a Division 7 team for invitation to the National team.
Remember that when the former NFA refused to fund his team to the under 20 championship where the likes of Mikel were discovered; he ran to Timipre Sylva for assistance which he got. He went and got silver for Timipre Sylva grin grin and Nigeria. That was why the Bayelsa State Govt proudly named their stadium after him. Siasia is the Mourinho of African football. Case dismiss!!
Politics › Re: Southeast Poorest Zone In Nigeria by Guyman02: 4:48pm On Nov 03, 2010
What the SE needs is direct FG investment in terms of infrastructure provision. Also, SE needs to build trust from other Nigerians, like I posted earlier about a Mega Coal Fired Power Plant that was planned for Enugu during IBBs regime that was abandoned because of sentiments, if such projects has succeeded it would have helped to ameliorate part of the nations power supply problems and boosted the SE economy.

@ OP you Igbos have to also help yourselves by being your brothers keeper, I still remember your staunch defence of the OSU caste system in an earlier thread discriminating against your fellow Igbos (how do you think also that your Ten year old son will be willing to go back and entrench himself in the SE when he realises that his future girlfriend or fiance will be victimised by you on the bases of OSU caste while in Lagos he will not have to bother about that. You all need to redefine how you treat each other, when you discriminate against your brothers how do you expect non indigenes to come and settle in your area; they are surely discouraged.

The other day after IBB visited kaduna State Gov Patrick Yakowa, Daily Trust came out with a headline news purpoting to quote Yakowa that 'IBB is the most credible presidential candidate'. the aim is to create a rift between him and his boss Sambo and deny him the opportunity of retaining his seat.
The last time it was the cancellation of the dredging of River Niger project. More concocted stories will still be churned out from Minna. Keep your ears open.
