Family › Re: Please Help I Dont Love My Wife by hackney(m): 10:01pm On Jul 07, 2009
It seems that a lot of posters think that love is like a switch.
It's not something that can be turned on and off because of situations and pressure.
Also like i said earlier, the fact that the man deemed her fit to have sex with by no means implies that she is what he wants for a wife.
If that man was going to ever love the girl, i think he would have done so.

I wish them the best anyway.

Family › Re: Please Help I Dont Love My Wife by hackney(m): 3:04pm On Jul 07, 2009
Anyway, left to women, they actually want you to marry them before you sleep with them.
That hasn't worked out so far in society because sex can just be sex ; purely recreational.

Infact a man will sleep with you before he marries you unless he doesn't know what he's doing.
After going out with a girl for some time, It is only when you have slept with her do you know her completely.
If she doesnt sleep with you but wants to marry you, then she just wants to get married to someone.
Family › Re: Please Help I Dont Love My Wife by hackney(m): 2:55pm On Jul 07, 2009
A lot of people are of the view that if he could sleep with her then he should marry her.
WHAT!!! Are you kidding me right now?

How can mere sex be equated with marriageability?

If it's not working out despite trying their best, they should call it a day.
This is because otherwise they will be unhappy through out their lives.
They should then figure out how to raise their kid properly.

The getting stuck in a loveless marriage is the worst thing a man can do for himself.

Infact if a man gets married and soon afterwards discovers that the girl has been pretending to be a good girl when she's your worst nightmare, the man should call it a day as well. (vice versa)

A lot of people believe that how ever they are is good enough; well that's untrue period.
None of these is worth sticking around for.
Business › Re: What Do You Do When Your Banker Charges You Wrongly? by hackney(m): 8:46pm On Jul 06, 2009
Thanks Red. Let the revolution begin.

Looks like oge works in a bank.
Well , customers are not charged for ATM maintenance at BARCLAYS so im not affected but it's unfair that those banking with you (onye akpiri ego)are being conned of hard earned cash.

You must be a UBA staff; very cheeky people.
My little sister works at UBA and each time this issue comes up,i ask her why they do these charges; no answer.
My best friend is one of their branch managers and all they do is come up with ways of charging customers.
Instead of getting off their lazy behinds and making expert investments like banks in other places.
Business › Re: What Do You Do When Your Banker Charges You Wrongly? by hackney(m): 8:21pm On Jul 06, 2009
This is good. let's increase the momentum on this movement against these banks.

I just let them know about their fraudulent practices ; imagine paying for account statements and being charged for ATM maintenance.

One day in that country , The masses' comments will count.
Christianity Etc › Re: I Have Never Fallen Under The Anointing- Why? by hackney(m): 8:12pm On Jul 06, 2009
I've been in similar situations where everybody was just falling and i didn't simply because nothing pushed me down.
That was years and years ago and  i just thought then that i was probably on a different channel.
Also went to a fellowship at Uni and as a newcomer to the fellowship, they prayed and prayed for us.
Then came the annointing (or head-pushing) which almost turned into a wrestling match because this man was trying to push me over.

I just don't get it or it doesn't happen to some of us.
Business › Re: How Does Advert Affect Your Urge To Consume Goods by hackney(m): 3:08pm On Jul 04, 2009
Same as tayo_ast.

If im looking to buy something i tend to pay attention to the ads and choose what brand to buy based on it.

Otherwise i dont go out to buy stuff because i saw an ad.

Politics › Re: Cross River State Lawmakers Embark On Hunger Strike by hackney(m): 12:02pm On Jul 03, 2009
Hunger strike in nigeria? that's a first.
Hmm, thought Nigeria was on hunger strike all along.

Pardon my skepticism but i just think that anything a nigerian is doing , he is doing it just for himself.
Education › Re: Examination:: True Test Of Knowledge? by hackney(m): 5:01pm On Jul 02, 2009
Thot the question was if :
Phemour:
This crop up in my mind this afternoon when i saw a dyslexia with 270 in JAMB

Is Examination a True Text of Knowledge??

Comment! smiley
Know what you mean but how else can you test someone with a good reference point of fail or pass?
Education › Re: Examination:: True Test Of Knowledge? by hackney(m): 4:55pm On Jul 02, 2009
Exam is a true test of knowledge  &   an I.Q. exam is a true test of intelligence.

Usually there is an element of IQ challenge in an exam so YES if you pass well you are likely to be intelligent or knowledgeable.
(think of the opposite to get the full picture)

PS we are not making any comments based on the nigerian scenario as it is not a NORMAL scenario

Travel › Re: Nigeria Embassy London Worst Management by hackney(m): 9:32am On Jul 02, 2009
For all the times i've been there to get my Visa to nigeria the service had been terribly appalling.
That behaviour is genetic and they are actually shocked when someone is polite!!!
They are all frowning and shouting at customers like animals.

Hopefully now that i have got my naija passport after traveling home last xmas (and bribing everybody at passport office; you know: " go and get local govt this,go and get affidavit that,or pay for it here!!), i will avoid all that rubbish.

The nigerian embassy here should be shut and have Oyinbo handle our issues because we just cannot do it both home and away.
Bunch of idiots

Romance › Re: She Stopped Picking My Calls Because I Tried Kissing Her. by hackney(m): 5:57pm On Jun 28, 2009
The pair of you seem to be on different pages as far as goals are concerned.
Also sometimes , if you are too forward and over-expressive she will keep coming round for strict listening sessions while someone else (who prolly doesnt give a shit) is banging her senseless for real.

If you had let her know you found her really attractive, behaved yourself and let her breathe, then what will be will be (i'll say).
better luck next time buddy , her loss.
(But dont go trying to kiss girls when they are not up for it ; put yourself in their shoes every now and again and see how terrible that is)

one.
Family › Re: I Am Taking A Third Wife by hackney(m): 5:11pm On Jun 28, 2009
Sounds fabricated but still a male child actually comes from the man:
The female has XX chromosome and contributes one.
The male has XY chromosomes and contributes one.
so if you 'MR MAN' , keeps bring X to the table your lineage don finish.

LMAO
Family › Re: Where And How To Meet Guys Ready 4 Marriage by hackney(m): 5:03pm On Jun 28, 2009
It will be cool if people actually meet here and develop  meaningful relationships.
If you intend to on NL, it shld start with contact details (prolly emails ) as that will facilitate other cute things like picture sends etc.
(Not just going round and round on the threads).

Thats for those checking for better halfs though.
