U can, just register many courses each semester.For example u pick up all the first and second semesters' courses in ur yr2 first semester, in ur yr2 second semester, u change ur level to 300L and pick if possible all yr3 courses. That way. Like say in every semester u take 15-17 courses. I started in 2009 and will be done this semester,Bsc Computer Sc.

Hope you are aware that there is limitations and guidelines in course registration. you need to see the students counselor at your Study Centre for profer guidance and counseling. I'm afraid that you can keep deceiving people and yourself but can fail to graduate timely at the end of the day. I'm pretty sure that the maximum credit units required per semester is 26, and some courses are mostly in 2,3 and even 4 credit units. Even if is 2 credits per course and you register let say 15 courses, this mean to say that you have registered 30 credit units per semester. This contradicts the maximum requirement of 26c/semester. So, stop guessing and giving people answers up-head please. NOUN is committed towards producing entrepreneurial oriented graduates with good mission and vision. So, my friend and all, do not rush, just set your goals and work hard. Slow and steady as they say.. win...?[/size]

Two people carrying explosives on motorbikes were killed by their own bombs in Kaduna yesterday, witnesses said, suggesting that the bombers targeted Islamic scholar Ahmad Gumi who recently criticised attacks blamed on the Boko Haram sect.


Only the bomb carriers died in the incident which happened at about 3.35pm on the busy Ali Akilu Road.



Witnesses said the bike-bombers appeared to be heading towards the Sultan Bello Mosque where hundreds of Muslims were gathering for Sheikh Gumi’s Ramadan Tafsir which was due to start in less than 30 minutes.

They said Gumi uses the same road to go to the mosque for the preaching session, which has been holding daily from 4pm since the beginning of the Muslim fasting month that ends at the weekend.

People who attend the Tafsir sessions said Gumi had recently criticised Boko Haram-linked suicide bombings and shootings, describing such acts as sacrilegious.

“(The bombers) were heading for Sultan Bello Mosque but before they reached the roundabout, we heard a loud explosion and three of them died instantly,” said a witness, Kaduna polytechnic student Idris Mustapha. [Islamic scholar Ahmad Gumi ]

“Two were riding one of bikes while another person who we believe was part of them, was driving behind them. Then there was a loud blast,” he said.

Another witness, Jamilu Ibrahim, said, “The bomb was being carried by two people, a woman and a man on top of Okada, when the explosion happened. There were no people close to them and it only affected the people that were carrying it.

“We suspect that the bomb was being carried to Sultan Bello Mosque where Sheikh Ahmad Gumi is holding his Tafsir. It was the same area a policeman was killed by a bomb.”

Soon after the blast, security men cordoned the roadway, diverting traffic from the Lugard Hall roundabout.

Destroyed parts of the motorcycles and human body parts were strewn on the road.

There was a mild drama when bees swarmed the blast scene, stopping people and security men from coming close to the area.

Kaduna State Police commissioner Abubakar Jinjiri Mohammed confirmed that two people died in the blast.

He said the police had taken custody of the motorcycles and the corpses for investigation. “Everywhere is calm; we have cordoned the area while investigation continues,” Mohammed said.

In his reaction, Governor Patrick Yakowa said the blast was unnecessary, devilish and uncalled for.

“But based on our conviction that good always triumph over evil, we are continuing our task of providing the needed protection for all our people and we are optimistic that we will come out stronger from this security challenge,” the governor’s spokesman Reuben Buhari said.

Kaduna has witnessed bomb blasts in recent months, but this was the first of such since the start of the Ramadan on July 20.

No group has claimed responsibility for the yesterday’s incident.

  Behold the suspected gunrunner and supplier to military kits to terrorists. The army attributes the success of its operation to a revision of its strategies in combating the increasing waves of attacks by armed groups. The 23 Armoured Brigade, Yola, Adamawa State, has clamped down on a syndicate specializing in gunrunning, and sale of military gear to men of the underworld.Nancy James and her accomplice, Haliru Jumba, a pastor with Kunini Deeper Life Bible Church in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State were caught with some cache of arms hidden inside a sack of garri at a military checkpoint in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The military says the intercepted cache of arms was heading to Gombe State where one Danjuma Luka, who is now also in police net in Taraba State, was waiting to take delivery of the consignment. The capture of Mr. Luka by the military followed the arrest of Ms. James, who the military says was making her second delivery of arms, after a previous successfully operation in February. The brigade   spokesperson, Lieutenant Victor Olukoya said the woman, caught with four double-barrel guns and two pistols, would have gotten away but for the vigilance and diligence of his men who effected her arrest, putting their counter-terrorism training to good use. Lt Olukoya said the officers subjected the sack of garri in the vehicle to a thorough search which he said led to the discovery of the arms.
"The weapons were hidden in that bag of garri and after searching the sack of garri, the guns were discovered, and the men arrested," Lt Olukoya said. The army spokesperson explained that the pastor arrested in company of the woman "is still only an accomplice" and that the police would be left to ascertain the extent of his involvement in the gunrunning scheme. 
Also paraded by the army is a police corporal, Reuben Joel, attached to the anti-terrorism unit of the Nigeria Police Force in Aba, Abia State. He was accused of trafficking military and police uniforms to terrorist Cells. Lt  Olukoya said it was amazing that a serving corporal, attached to the anti-terrorist unit of the police command in Abia State, would be involved the illegal  sale of military uniform in far away Adamawa State. The arrest of Mr. Joel by the army followed the arrest of two persons by the military at a checkpoint in Mubi, who were caught with ten uniforms and ten pairs of military boots. After they were interrogated, the men confessed to taking supply of the military uniforms from Mr. Joel, and that they were taking the consignment to Hong in Adamawa State. The arrest of the uniform traffickers, the army says,  has helped in unraveling
incidences of attack on police checkpoints and banks by men clad in military and police uniforms."It is obvious that these are the people attacking police checkpoints and banks with regalia of the military and police. It portends that we have desperate people willing to go to any extent to maim innocent lives," Mr. Olukoya stated. However, the army has attributed the success of its current operation to a revision of its strategies in combating the increasing waves of attacks by armed groups. It has therefore appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to cooperate with the military in its determination to rid the country of criminal elements and check the proliferation of arms by submitting themselves to checks at checkpoints.
