CaveAdullam: 1. Be competent.
2. Give no room for complacency; it will be used against you in the future.
3. Always go with the required tools or materials for work.
4. By all means avoid excuses; it will give you might to challenge anyone who wants to use their lackadaisical attitude to limit you.
5. Don't argue with your boss. Answer yes!
6. Suggest ideas to your boss why praise him. Your boss doesn't need your ideas by the way.
7. You can't change an already established system, you are there for the money, work for it and get out.
8. Respect your senior colleagues, if not, they will work against you.
9. Respect your junior colleagues, they can make work faster and run some shitty games for you.
10. Respect the janitors and other staff not directly connected to the activities of the business. They will help you someday. Tip them from time to time. They can defend you at the right moment.
11. Respect your clients or customers. Falling on the wrong side will either affect your profits or salary.
12. Customers and clients want praise. Saturate them with it. It takes nothing from you, just mere words.
13. Don't argue with your boss or superior. Doing the opposite will help him spot loopholes in your line of work and use them against you.
14. Learn how to defend yourself especially when you make mistakes. Explain yourself rather than apologize. You need competence to pull this string though.
15. Don't separate yourself from your colleagues, work with them so that you'll get a glimpse of what's going on.
16. Maintain your standard. Don't be cajoled into any nonsense. This sends a message to your colleagues that you are different and can't easily be fooled.
17. Office romance must be avoided. If you don't have the mental fortitude and deceptiveness to pull office romance, forget it.
18. Always do your work on time and finish on time.
19. Use free time to do other useful activities. It can be within or outside your scope of work. E.g reading, writing, teaching, etc.
20. Only argue with your boss when that month is the last you will be working with him.
21. Always pay homage to your superior's superior. This person will help you when you experience friction with your current superior or boss. E.g Manager, Founder, President of the organization.
22. Put yourself in a position where you can't easily be replaced. Only competence and great skill can help you here.
23. Learn to cover your mistakes and quickly correct them. Nobody loves a clumsy worker.
24. Be passionate about your work. If you are not, you will make foolish mistakes along the way.
25. Don't leave your current job because of anticipation of another job that you have not secured fully. Except you have big savings though.
26. Even if you don't like your boss or work, just do your assigned role and work your way out.
27. If a promotion doesn't come easily don't do extra work.
28. Extra work will make your boss use you as a beast of burden. Protect your competence from exploitation.
29. If you are not paid for extra work, feigned laziness. But do your assigned role perfectly.
30. Take corrections and learn. Despite your competence, you can't be perfect.
31. Be patient.
32. Be good-looking. Dress fine. Wear clean shoes. Wear a good necklace. Wear a good wristwatch. Wear good bracelets. They don't need to be expensive at all; hardly anyone will ask you for their costs.
33. Don't beg your colleagues for food and money. There can be a show of love through the giving and receiving of gifts. But make sure you don't beg. Learn to manage your resources.
34. Learn to resume on time.
35. Not everybody can become an entrepreneur. Employees must respect the ethics of their work. And employers must treat employees well because they are the backbone of the organization, and if they connive together, they can bring the organization down in a moment.
Thanks. Nice feedbacks. Not the kind of depressing feedbacks from some sets of people above. |

princeugboga: Do you know that most graduate applicants don’t get invited for interviews because of the ATS software?
Recruiters and Employers have limited time to go through thousands of CVs and Resumes submitted by Applicants, so the ATS software is adopted to handle such overwhelming tasks. As good as this innovation may seem especially to recruiters, it has become the undoing of a lot of applicants.
Stay with me let me show you how…
Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are software applications that scan resumes and other job recruitment documents for relevant keywords such as skills, job titles, and educational background. To pass the ATS scan, your resume has to be formatted properly, and include the right words.
If you want to get to the interviewing stage
You have to make your resume ATS friendly: use an ATS compliant template, add the right keywords, and make it a great read for the actual human recruiter.
Join 100s of graduates for a training this Friday where I will show you:
- What an ATS friendly resume is. - How to make a resume ATS compliant.

Education › Re: Is There Anything Like First Class (Upper Division)? by Hahjascho(m): 9:57pm On May 26, 2022 |
Immaculate755: Good Evening NL's.
Pls I need your input regarding this matter. Is it possible for a graduate with a very good result to want to settle for less if truly nothing is wrong somewhere?
Here is the story,
Nearly a week ago, a guy came to my business centre to draft his CV and print some of his credentials, his First Degree Certificate and SSCE result precisely.
Immediately, I began to draft the CV, asked some things about him that's needed to be on the CV. We then got to the Education section, asked him the name of the Institution attended, Course of study, and his Grade stylishly because his response to the most of the things asked lacks intelligibility and he did.
To my utmost surprise he finished with a first class from one of State owned varsities in the south west.
Alot of questions raced through my mind Did he buy this result? Is First class that easy in State owned varsities? ... During the CV drafting, He told me to just help him draft anyhow that a page is okay, that if not for his wife pestering him to look for a job he won't be stressing himself. This person only targets schools and tutorials knowing fully well how most private schools pay ridiculously low salaries to their staffs.
I was so vexed one particular day, when he narrated his ordeal at one Tutorial centre, how he was offered 300NGN per hour to teach. I blamed him for going to such place with his result.
Today, was going through my gallery, then I saw some of the credentials he sent to me on WhatsApp, looked at the credentials for some minutes especially the First degree, I have compassion on him because of his excellent academic performance. But one thing caught my attention, the grade written on the certificate was FIRST CLASS (UPPER DIVISION) instead of FIRST CLASS HONOURS.
Less I forget, He has no NYSC discharge, and he did full time programme and also finished schooling before 30.
Pls graduate in the house, is the result genuine or the mistake is from the school or Do any First class graduate in the house has his/her grade written like this (FIRST CLASS UPPER CLASS) on his/her Certificate. Long story short, the name of the school would have done justice. Name the school. |
Romance › Re: I'm Addicted To Peeping At My Neigbhours unclothedness While They Are Bathing, Help! by Hahjascho(m): 8:50am On May 25, 2022 |
ZenithBanking: I have a big probem.
I'm always peeping on my neigbhours/friends unclothedness when ever they are taking their bath.
It all started six years ago during my ND in school, & up till now, i'm still living with it.
During my ND, there is no famale tenant that i didn't see her unclothedness to more than a million time, even when i went back for my HND, i did thesame thing.
I'm currently serving right now, and i'm still doing thesame thing here. I peep on my neigbhous and fellow corps member here.
I've been doing this for six years, and i've never being caught. Sometimes i ask God; why was i not being caught all those times in school, why didn't GOD want me to get caught.
I've tried every possible means to stop it, but all failed, even when i don't want to do it, my spirit will keep pushing me & if i don't do it at that time, i won't rest.
It seems i can't live without it.
I know someday i will be caught and embarrassed and get my pictures uploaded online for this crime.
I'm afraid, i need help. See ...something is wrong with the soul/mind. It's like a virus invasion of a host. You need strong deliverance, more than discipline. Spirit of lust is stuck. |
