Sorry sir, I think there's a mixed up somewhere. I never make any of those claims. Please cross-checked my submissions. Thanks
Splinz:

Okay, lets reason together. You see, it is not everything that's recorded in the bible, i.e, the day to day activities of bible's characters. This style of writing is not only common in the bible, but also in the literatures of the world. Why? Here, "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were EVERY ONE of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written"- John 21:25. That's it! If the world itself cannot contain just Jesus ministry alone, how much more detailing every thing about creation? that means bible is not a reliable source when it comes to creation

Now, the point I'm trying to make is this. In Genesis 4:1, Cain is born. The very next verse, Abel is born too. The point: after Cain was born, definitely, a lot of time has passed before Abel was born! Also note that it is in verse 1 that Adam knew his wife, and it is still in that verse that she bare Cain. So at least you should know that nine months has passed since Adam knew his wife before she bare Cain!

Coming down to verse 14, certainly, a lot of years has passed before Cain slew his brother, judging from the fact that one was a farmer and the other, a shepherd. That means they were adults who could take responsibilities!

So, it is very much possible and likely that at this stage of their lives, their parents may have already produce other children in order to be "fruitful and multiply". I hope this helps?

Your kind of response is the reason I took a little time to explain what a budget is. I knew there will be some illiterates who will need such an explanation. It is a sign of desperation to celebrate a budget. It is just a document. A statement of intent. It is a yearly planning document. Are you going to celebrate every year then? Maybe Buhari should even fix a public holiday to celebrate the budget!

When you write out your shopping list, do you celebrate it? Or you celebrate when you have purchased your items? This is desperation and a whole new low.
I swear, Nigerians will love this grin

But the truth is, Nigerians are indeed desperate. If there is one thing I have learnt from the few years of democracy is that most Nigerians do not truly understand what a democracy is all about. We are so used to saying thank you for nothing and showing appreciation for what should be rightfully ours.

It is pathetic really

Adam and Eve had eight sets of twins, each set with one boy and one girl.

Allah commanded they cross-marry, the last set marrying the first set. Cain didn't want his brother Abel to marry his own beautiful twin sister, saying he would be the one to marry her instead. This was the reason he killed Abel and he later married his own twin sister.

Islam details the account without missing anything.

The problem is with provider of the master card you use. They i.e. providers of MasterCard, verve, etc. no longer get foreign currency from CBN hence they resort to black market to get foreign currency as the case may be therefore increasing the rate for online transaction.
PLease, I need your assistance. Since the black market rate fell, I haven't noticed any significant change as I tried to pay fb using the current exchange rate and it is going through. Do you have any explanation regarding this? My theory is that they probably still have money from the last exchange rate and want to let go of it before they start charging at the new rate. 5. Eternally upcoming musicians

I once came across a thread of one girl who complained about her bf who was an upcoming musician and wanted her to lend him her fees to pay for his studio session. She wanted to give him the money but on second thoughts decided to use it to pay her fees and all hell was let loose. He accused her of being wicked, insensitive and not supporting him at his lowest point. All of this after the lady had helped the guy in time past. I don't have an issue with a lady believing in her man's dreams and sticking with him through it all but dearie if music is all he's been doing for years and there's no hit coming from anywhere, I suggest you dump his ass and move on. What else do you expect from a country whose citizens serve imaginary gods and have misplaced priorities about what morality is all about. You will still see them at churches or mosques praising their imaginary gods with the hope of making heaven. After all, even the bible god supports slavery.

Leviticus 25:44-46 ESV

As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are around you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly.

Colossians 4:1

Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

Ephesians 6:5

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,

Exodus 21:20-21

“When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.

Titus 2:9-10

Slaves are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

1 Peter 2:18

Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust.

Deuteronomy 23:15

“You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you.

Exodus 21:1-36

“Now these are the rules that you shall set before them. When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing. If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him. If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out alone. But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’ ...

JackBizzle:
Weird Atheism

Has anyone seen a dramatic change in lifestyle after becoming an atheist? I know different people have different reactions but here is mine;

After becoming an atheist-

1) I have become more thoughtful about things. But this has also made me moody. This is because I am starting to realise that life is unfair and that so many people waste their lives for useless things like religion and wars.

2) I'm more interested in science fiction and the supernatural. I keep wondering what is at the end of the universe. I consume horror and sci fi movies like a madman.

3) I'm a more curious person. Nowadays, I tend to demand for proof or more explanations for things.

4) I can't stop thinking about death and history. When it comes to death, I just wonder why we are here in the first place when it is so easy to die and never come back. As for history, I keep wondering about the generations before us. When I see an old house, I imagine the people who have lived there and died there.

5) Children. My love and pity for children has grown. I realised how much misinformation we are abused with as children. The religious indoctrination and the cultural taboos. I try to teach children whenever I have the chance.

6) Hatred. There is this hatred for deceivers and false prophets. There was a time I even sat next to a pastor. This guy was so fake with all his jewleries and he was talking to me gently. Despite his gentle approach, I moved away. I could not just stand his fakeness. The clown was talking humble but has jewelry worth millions on his hands and necks. I can't even listen to christian preaching anymore or even Nigerian politicians when they speak. They lie lie lie lie.

Have you guys changed in any way?

Yeah. Same here. However, I do not feel hatred. I feel a mixture of disgust and pity. Disgust at the pastor's obvious scam and pity for "believers" who have obviously been misinformed by society.

I am also more introspective and there is this necessity to only speak of what I am sure of and what I have researched.

I have also contemplated starting my own church. Money dey there oooo tongue

If you are comfortable with receiving insults every day of your nairaland existence, no problem.
Personally, I am not. I won't sit my ass down and let someone paint my ethnicity black.... check my registration date, i am a vintage member of Nairaland, so I have seen the good, the bad and the Ugly.

Most Yorubas here are still playing "Mr Nice" while 85% of Igbos have become full fledged tribal militants. People towing my line of defence will only continually increase with time.
What do you think will happen when the proportion becomes equal on both sides?
Well, I really can't say but then it will be obvious that the number of lunatics has risen significantly undecided

As regards insult, I only read and ignore and take solace in the fact that they most likely won't be able to insult me in my face offline. In fact, I am so occupied with business I barely have time for nl anymore. Seun has never given me a share in ads cash so I do not bother.
