"Weird/odd foods around the world" what is disappointing there?

Goat is normal, almost everybody takes it. But sheep, not everyone.
Was just kidding with you. Personally, whenever I get to somewhere new I always insist on eating their own food. I love to try new delicacies and that sheep head is looking yummy cheesy

Bend your head to the left. Now bend it to the right. Do you hear any sound? That's the sound of a piece of stone, the only thing that happens to be in your head

Brother, you normally create interesting threads but I'm disappointed with this one. How can you categorize "sheep head" as "disgusting" when we eat "goat head" here? And no one can argue with the juiceness of isi-ewu.

When I saw "disgusting" in the topic I was expecting vomit mixed with watery poo and a glass of urine grin tongue

As long as there is the market which in this case are people who need to see the president in bad light, there will be people who will satisfy that market by presenting that side to them.

The government also needs to work on building better roads with street lights, more lanes, responsive emergency ambulances, emergency helicopters, traffic lights, cctv, proper drainage systems(not the 2ft gutters they are used to), develop an efficient traffic control system and rid us of the menace of pot holes.

But......this list might just be reason for someone to embezzle more money

C'mon!
Anyone who assumes that his ghost did this, must be a slowpoke.

Of course, someone who is aware of the young man's death, and who knows his accounts details committed this fraud.
Since the withdrawals was via ATM, the crook should have been caught on it's camera, right?

Who applied for and processed the requirements for the debit card to be issued? The bank ought to have all the records nawww.

The bogeyman would be a friend, relation or the bank employee. If Naija police is half dilligent, they will unravel this "mystery" within a few days.
Stop reading my mind.

What do you expect from people who believed that drinking/bathing in salt water could cure ebola?

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is Almost 95% Of Atheist Genius And 50% Of Genius Atheists? by hahn(m): 1:19pm On Jul 03, 2015
plaetton:
No sir.
Tons and tons of scientific studies have been done on this very subject, that shows very strong corrolations between Religion, atheism and IQ levels.
Very intelligent people with high IQ tend to be more skeptical and rational, and therefore more impervious to religious indoctrination.

Brain anatomy shows that the religious experience, the religious Impulse emanates in a certain region of the brain,. the same region that coincidentally houses the primitive irrational Impulses.
Now, the other half of the brain houses or generates the more recently evolved rational Impulses. This is the seat of reason.

These two opposing regions and their opposing Impulses are constantly dueling for supremacy.
One tries to protect and preserve the Status quo (the primitive Impulses), whereas the other half constantly Challenges, tempers and tries to override the primitive Impulses.
This is a struggle that we go through in our daily lives.
Now, I assume, based on genetics, culture and environment, people grow up with either one of the two sides of the brain dominating his/her worldview.
If the primitive part of your brain dominates your worldview, then you are more likely to be selfish, greedy, hot tempered, religious, dependent of social validation etc. These would be your natural predispositions, unless it is tempered with good education in social setting conducive for learning.

If on the other hand, one grows up with a dominant rational part of the brain, such person would tend to be rational, inquisitive, logical, show healthy skeptism, Always in control, good at pattern recognition, independent. When boosted with education, the person would most likely secretly or publicly question religious beliefs that had been spoonfed to him/her from childhood.

Studies and studies have shown that the latter tend to have a higher IQ than the former.
I agree with this

GOD BLESS MY AFRICA
With what exactly? Poor leaders? Bad roads? Ebola? Tribalism? Poverty? Lack of constant electricity(Nigeria namely)?

The amount of people that have died from lack of quality health care or as a result of any of the above far exceeds the amount of any one earthquake incidents on the list.

Ironically, most of the countries hit(save maybe for haiti) are more advanced and above the poverty level than any African country
