Fill the applications and get appointments for them using the normal route. You will then attend their interview with them when the time comes since they are minors. Ensure you have a valid visa yourself at the time of the interview.

Upon enquiry about 3 months ago, I was told that being allowed to travel out of Nigeria with a Nigerian passport that has a validity below 6 months is almost impossible. Of course, there may be exceptions.

I advise you speak with an immigration officer for clarification.

Since you most likely will not be allowed to leave Nigeria with a passport that has less than 6 months validity, i advise you to renew your passport.

Note that your visa remains valid until its expiry date. As such, you should travel with both passports before that date.

Even with a valid US visa, there is no guarantee you'll get a response soon.

I applied with one in April 2022, got the response in October 2022 and visa in November 2022.

If you do get PPR at about the time you travel, I hear you can submit you passport while in the US. You'll need to go some pages back on this thread for details. All the best.

You need to do 2-way DHL or UPS to be able to receive your passport. This is especially so because VFS currently does not welcome picking up in person.

I advise you call or email VFS to enquire how to work around this situation. Check for their contacts via Google.

Submitted my passport on the 28th October 2022 for students visa

Got notified with VFS Abuja that is under process at the IRCC Office on Thu Nov 10 2022.

November 14th from my portal I saw a final decision message and saw my visa status has been issued and I was sent an approval letter.

Today being December 5th, I have not yet received my passport or got a message from vfs Abuja.

I only paid for the transmission fee and with no dhl return envelope.

In ONE document, I advise you include an SOP (you can google a simple template to say why you're visiting, what you'd do there, for how long, when you'll leave), birth certificates (yours and offsprings'), marriage certificate, family photos, NIN, vaccination card, bank statements (obtain the one-page mystatement from your banks either via online banking/app), hotel and airline reservations, company documents, scans of your visas and annotated passport pages over last the 10 years, etc, etc.

Basically, everything that supports the info filled on your form. Combine all in one document and then compress it to below 2MB. Then you can upload this file as your additional documents.

Compress with an app like ilovepdf.

NOTE: the portion on the form which asks if Yu have ever been denied a visa is referring to every country you ever applied to, not only Canada. (I heartily thank nairalanders who brought this to my notice through their comments on this thread).

Unfortunately, there is no way to hasten finding appointment dates. You just have to keep checking and you just may come across a date that someone just cancelled.

Checking is what is done on groups too.

Needless to say, those dates sometimes disappear before you blink because they are in high demand.

Don't lose hope.

The 3 months referred to is for those whose current visa would expire within the next 3 months.

For example, as at today April 5, 2022, anyone whose current visa will expire by July 5, 2022 can also apply for IW.

No need to panic..keep calling the embassy. Start from 9am. I believe I read somewhere that 3months after the 24months window is still ok. Hopefully someone will come and clarify us on it.

No idea how to make the correction on I-94 portal, but if you still have your passport for that period, you should take it with you. That would show when immigration stamped on arrival in Nigeria. And perhaps print your eTicket or boarding pass (if you checked in online), if they are still available in your email?

I have just seen 3 different departure dates from the US in Oct 2012, they are back to back as well which is weird so not arrival/departure like with the other dates. Only one of the dates is correct, I don't know if I should screenshot and post here...

From what I have seen and heard, dependents' profile can only be updated from/by the backend. You can either call again or send an email. All the best!

If you are applying together, add them as your dependants. If not, you definitely need 2 other email addresses.

With the 2 email addresses and other details they ask for, 2 separate profiles will be created for each child by the consulate.

I asked if both children can be put on one profile and was told no.

However, I think you should send an email or call first as our cases may have differences that count.

There is no time limit as far as I know. Between previous appointment cancellation and getting an IW date was about 2 weeks for me.
