Its really sad. Come to think of it we were also treated like that back in secondary school. The slapping thingy was called "game of ashokoto" then. If we made noise during preps hour, the senior would ask you to pair up. Then one is asked to slap the other.I remember one time it became so bad your chic would go numb for minutes. I am yet to see any significant drive in terms of human resource development,economic revival or security improvement. We need to start by saying where is the plan you are guided by? How well will the plan improve things long term or short term ? The Hadith you quoted are instructions given to the Muslim army during engagement not at peace time but when war was upon them. Even that had conditions if you had quoted it completely.
