Politics › Re: Senate President Saraki And Majority Leader Ali Ndume Part Ways. by hakanai(m): 10:27am On Jul 04, 2016
DIKEnaWAR:
I don't like replying posts like yours cos it is not objective and heavily coloured by your political inclination.

*I get that Feeling about you too, can i say its mutual*

If I may ask, The CPC produced the President, A C N the VP, don't you think it is right the NewPDP produced the Senate President?
It was also agreed that Buhari will make a member of the defunct ANPP, SGF but he reneged on all of this. This would have compensated all the parties that came together to form the APC.

* yes and yet the APC is not asking that the SGF resign! That should tell you alot and if i remember correctly the SGF once thanked Tinubu instead of PMB for his emergence*

Why would the APC ask a big masquerade like Saraki that was a former Governor(and C/man of their nonsense NGF) to step down for a Lawan who was just promoted from the House of Reps to the Senate?( This is how these men think sha).

*Yeah but Saraki too is a stranger as It affects house matter.I can also look it from the other angle to say Lawan is an experience legislator far more than a Saraki. He is more of a career legislator than Saraki*

The Apc would have insisted on producing George Akume as Senate President, that would have stopped Saraki. This is because Akume is a former Governor, fmr PDP and has more national appeal and spread than Lawan. Those that supported Saraki wouldn't have had any problem supporting Akume.

*Yeah but last i remembered Akume step down and accepted to be the deputy of somebody as against someone who bull dozed his way, neglecting his party formular only his lone desire.Last I checked the APC members in the house that were against Saraki were higher in number. The guy staged a calculated take over without popular support from his party with in the house*

Do you know why Akume was not picked by the APC for the office? Buhari said NO. He leaned towards Lawan's candidacy. Don't tell me he is not in this fight cos he's 100% in it.

*Am just hearing that from you. Yet Akume was penciled to run with someone as deputy. All i remember was Tinubu and APC insisted Saraki respects the agreement reached and he flaunted it. Even after he did that it took days and appeal from some APC elements to get PMB to simply ask Saraki to respect the party decision for the position. Why was he reluctant if he disagreed so much. Tinubu took the matter far more than PMB. Even lawan in his interview suggested his support came from Tinubu, like wise Akume. Tinubu again persuaded Akume to step down for Lawan.PMB was not that critical in the out come like you want to make it.I remember PMBs position initially was to work with anybody the house elected even after Saraki won. Somewhere along the way the APC and Tinubu factor kept coming up to reign in such people that flaunt party arrangements. It is either he bites the hand and side with Saraki or take a firm position with the party. He was never in on it but rather had to take the popular party position. He also had to respect it to avoid upsetting his allies in the party*

DIKEnaWAR:
Why would the Persidency APC want to dictate who heads another arm of government?

Saraki made all the sacrifice he ought to make.

1. He walked out of PDP and brought donors to APC.

2. He supported Buhari in the elections.

3. He made mockery of Ministerial screening by approving Buhari's nominees without problems.

4. He refused to drag Buhari into the fight, hoping that the old man will have sense and conscience and call his dogs to order.

My question is : if Saraki was good for the campaigns, why has he gone bad now that it is time to share office?

I don't like Saraki and I think Buhari and APC are God's judgement on him for his many sins, but sometimes, we have to say the truth without caring whose ox is gored. The truth is that Buhari and APC want to use and dump him but he has said NO!

I see this fight lingering till election before they will abandon it for campaigns. I am enjoying every bit of it and has bought my guguru and ekpa.
They pleaded with him at the first instance and they tried to reason with the different interest groups within the APC to resolve matters. Initially it was Saraki that keeps stabbing APC in the back. They had a mini convention to allow them pick one person.Saraki lost only to take advantage of the fact they went to conference center to place himself.

A tree does not make a forest and It also goes beyond the presidency.IF anything Buhari has time and again tried to stay away from the matter. It is Saraki and his faction that keeps dragging him back in with silly jabs and blame of being quiet. He would have simplified issues If he stood his ground against the unity group,Tinubu and probably some APC people opposed to his emergence than consistently dragging the other entity(Presidency,PDP etc) in the political matter.

Lolz so Gov Fayose does not have any business or source of earning outside his official salaries and allowances? Unless you can trace the house to any embezzlement there is no case here.
Oga sir did you read my post?I mention "revenue from Business proceeds"! Also if he makes such monies FIRS should know from tax payments yearly in 2014 & 2015.

It is not wrong for him to have those naw except if he got them from proceeds of corruption....
The question would be how much is his salary and how much does he have in revenues from business proceeds from 2014 to afford a mansion(s) in Abuja.

Before we forget I think FIRS should accompany EFCC on all investigations of property and businesses. It will be in order for FIRS to check or ask for tax clearance or payment receipts of the proceeds if verified as legit money.
Politics › Re: Charles Okah : Daughter Writes Emotion Open Letter To President Buhari by hakanai(m): 1:19pm On Jul 02, 2016
The letter sends mix feelings about the whole matter. You should have focused on his innocence, injustice and renew government focus on his issue. Dragging another politician into the matter may cause you some sympathy.

Like i told a friend who feels Okah is guilty, We are aware that some confessions suggest political motive.Allegation to smear some key northern political figures in the PDP was raised by Henry Okah. Also the FGN then was reluctant to the extent MEND was cleared on the matter by the number one citizen before the investigations. Shouldn't the FGN revisit the case to be sure that some people did not master mind the whole thing and blame it on the duo alone.

We all should not forget that some people died in the bombing and others suffered injuries. So it is not a small matter if human life is respected. All culprits in the matter and all others related to terrorism should be investigated and convicted folks punished. If the victims should also write a letter seeking justice then we all, will know how desperate the situation is.

I remain supportive of the government to make the right changes. If in anyway the COAS has done any of the above it will be fair to discharge the man.

I fault the armies response on the matter and also the way the matter is not given prompt attention. No need for the army to respond to personal complaints on the COAS.He should have his defense counsel handle it and not the entire NA. I think is high time the intuitions know when to allow officials respond to allegations on them.

A probe team be setup immediately to commence investigations or better still add his matter to the committee probing the former Chiefs!
Politics › Re: Miss Nairaland 2016 As A Metaphor For Nigerian Politics. by hakanai(m): 7:23am On Jun 27, 2016
Frankly why do we only reward beauty? How about the scientific intellectuals , political analyst, religious scholars and business gurus on naira land. In as much as beauty is cherished the other qualities should be accorded some level of recognition.

Again the same applies to the real Nigeria. Where only some artist, rich, folks in power & pretty ladies get acknowledgements. We should encourage people who strive in science , entrepreneurship and theology. All aspects should have a reward equally to encourage people in the different sections.

Mr Seun should kindly reward the wonderful good minds we have on Nairaland. Be it politics, foreign affairs, technology, theology, business , career advisers etc. Some of this people have one way or the other increased me atleast in knowledge or open my eyes to things I would not have heard or known . They have impacted a lot of people here than the pageants of naira land who we hardly bother to notice on profiles.

Also rewarding good conducts here could greatly encourage the commited and well behaved folks on naira land to keep up the good actions. Rather than make enemies online with harsh words. Please Seun spread the award to all sections and encourage decent, valauble contributors of all sections.

Pageants you are cherished but is time we look beyond just beauty in Nigeria and naira land to help us develop intellectually and spiritually too.

Which is what I said previously that the ariforce would have to rely on ground troops for confirmation. Also the ground troops can only confirm in operational areas they have control.

Good move ! More of this strategic thinking and investment should happen in all sectors. After all people pay levies to alot of union bodies with little to no accountability or beneficial utilization of the funds on association members or the community.

Starting from primary school to university and work, one is forced to pay levies for different bodies or so called associations. Little to nothing is felt from the members.I also think that by now the EFCC should be looking at the finances of all bodies making money from members. Any corruption and reckless spend should be probed.

Some of the fund generated are significant enough to help members where government is not felt.
Politics › Re: Army Uncovers Boko Haram’s Tactics Of Evading Surveillance In Borno by hakanai(m): 11:24pm On Jun 16, 2016
This should be expected. When you fight such an enemy they will over time adapt and everything changes. Now the Airforce will have to rely on ground intel or better still pray the BH make a few blunders to give away there positions. undecided undecided

Notwithstanding it shows tremendous progress. In the past they move in large convoys day or night and chase about the NA or sack communities. All we hear then is they are here or the army had retreated to safety after fierce fighting. huh huh huh

God we thank you for the change in security approach as alot has changed. I fear robbery now pass BH. cheesy cheesy

The above sums it up completely. During Jonathan’s administration northerners saw our military men as an occupation army rather than their liberators.
Its simple the brutality that comes with some NA staff that often times leave the victims scared as hell. Not to sound ungrateful they are trying. But honestly they need to do more on there attitude towards civilians. I think its rather harsh and makes the People mostly fear them, than love them. undecided undecided undecided They scare you into loving them cheesy cheesy cheesy
People later accepted there harsh approach after BH became even more deadlier. So its between NA or BH ? Pick the one that is not too brutal shocked shocked

I love that riffle.

Still searching for the name though it looks like Chinese assault riffle and so sure it is gas operated.
Its Israeli and called "Tavor" is a good CQ weapon of some sort. Good and designed to cope in tight areas.Such as combat in urban areas. Its compact with the standard punch of an assault rifle. Ideal for Israeli army when clearing streets in Palestine. Often they have to storm homes and navigate tight or crowded street corners in urban combat. Also its accuracy comes to play that is why the recoils is good. Unlike the bad recoils and length, some Ak47s the commandos possess.

Its a good choice for a commando unit wanting to storm an enemy ship, boat or to rescue hostages on platforms or decks. The area will be tight and combat will be close.

As you can see it is you that seems lost. I did not ask that the observer necessarily enter water. He can be anywhere to observe and take photos. That is a possibility. It may be a swamp or delta area, That doesn't make the observer aquatic and as such will have land around or dry surface to sit , stand or row.

Your point is noted but that doesn't change the deceptive figures. The point am making here is, In as much he could be anywhere and draw conclusion without proof then anyone can decide to believe anything or cook up a similar story. Its all am saying. At the moment the army sounds more accurate. Also I can enquire and get the facts disputed. Can that be said about the NDA eye witness?

Okay o! Yet they speak in denial of what the army said , as if they know the exact numbers. If they took time to know the dead were more than 3 soldiers and It could have being greater than 100,If not for fishermen. They may as well just wait count give us actual number nah!

You see propaganda get as e be. Giving us that ambiguous number is a ploy to provide room for deniability if caught pants down lying. Its simple wayo. Just like you are already stressing or using now.Not stating exactly but you know the NA are lying.

I mean Won't it be easier if you said, I believe more than 3 soldiers died? Than Pushing it high to achieve the enormous figure and all that success crap.

You know the funny thing with the figures often they are round numbers. Why is that so? Why 50 and why 100? Why not maybe 47, Abi 54? huh huh huh

As for me it simply says one thing. Someone Just lump something since he can't ascertain and makes it his desired numbers by mere sight or false assumptions.Rather than real figures or head count. cheesy cheesy

Again provide picture or it never happened. Also 50 bodies no be small number that you can hide like 3 bodies. Let the propaganda continue. Until the right tactics is finalized, then some people will realize what it feels like to be an enemy of state. undecided undecided

I noticed that too! That is some solid work there. You would need to dig to even create a pot hole on that tar. Quality Job and professionalism.

Apart from that the 6days If truly done will tell you what expertise and professionalism can offer. Again the blame should not be on government alone.Often when a road project ETD takes a longer time, the contractor is mostly to blame. Some will collect the monies and divert them or abandon work. Others will tell you so many environmental and personal reasons why work will not move fast. Others will simply keep using unreliable machines to work. At the end you have undue extensions and irrelevant excuses for delays.

Things could be done efficiently and professionally if the contractors live up to the job.Poor planning, management and equipment are the key reasons most contractors delay apart from the big names who charge heavily for projects. One of the amazing project that scares to date is the national stadium Abuja ! Imagine the cost and what we got it? undecided undecided
