Politics / Re: Ndume Is Not Fit As Senator. He Is A Disaster In The Senate by hakanai(m): 3:45pm On Mar 22, 2017 |
They cant sanction him for no just reason and he represent his people and should be accorded the respect he deserve as such.He has a right to air his views on every matter brought to the house. After all it is the senate, where some will always be for and others against on every matter brought to the floor. Senators like others can explain there views and also canvass for public support or clarification on decisions they make or opinions they have on matters. The senate wants to victimize or gag him because he expressed himself on the issue publicly. Something aired on TV. Ndume is entitled to his view on national matters. The senate should better be-careful not to cause problem for the country with there madness. 1 Like |

kayzat: The senators are something else.Just to feel important they can harass anyone to bend to there wills. If only the senate can apply same to the real critical issues bothering Nigeria/Nigerians in terms of security, diaspora, labor, welfare, internal affairs and economy. I am sure more Nigerians would be happier and doing much better they focus on the real issues. They will not focus on revising old legislation or bringing new legislation.Rather they spend most of there tenure battling each other or the FG executive or some petty things for a few. They never deal or pay attention to more pressing National issues. Always chasing useless things to satisfy there ego. They will not pursue more serious or national issues with same vigor. If na petty thing you would see them on the TV ranting and agitating as if tomorrow will not come. Insensitive bunch...!Alot of misplaced priorities. 2 Likes |
Politics / One Soldier Killed In Agatu Youths Clash by hakanai(m): 8:30pm On Feb 14, 2017 |
A military personnel drafted to Agatu by the Benue State Joint Security Council, has been killed in a clash with youths in the community, in an attempt to disarm the youths who were at a burial to mourn one of their own. Governor Samuel Ortom disclosed this at the 3rd Benue stakeholders forum convened to discuss issues of insecurity, high civil service wage bill and job creation through agriculture. The death of the soldier, is the height of the two weeks agitation in the Adoka/Agatu axis, where a police station was attacked last week and a service riffle snatched by youths suspected to be from Agatu local council. However, the Christian Association of Nigeria, believes the presence of herdsmen in the state, poses a threat to the church and its communities, another participant at the meeting, proposed for the conversion of Sambisa forest to grazing reserve, to reduce the violence in the state. The governor has however experienced concern over the spate of violence in Agatu area, and has asked security agencies to fish out those involved in the death of the soldier. https://www.channelstv.com/2017/02/14/one-soldier-killed-in-agatu-youths-clash/ |

antontech: This things are not lies. Often to avoid the ripple effects the images and news is kept low. To be frank if such images spread to places like Kano,Bauchi and parts of KD then alot more people will be affected.I have seen video footage and photos of mass killings in Jos and Kaduna as recorded and shared by some people to cause more carnage. Often state governors ask security to stop or seize such, before they get to gatherings eg. Jumat. That is what triggers some violence on Fridays. All that is happening is unfortunate and avoidable. If only the system works and they are more proactive.Where instigators or inciting elements are dealt with sooner. |
Politics / Re: Why Is That Only The President Uses Military Aide D' Camp? by hakanai(m): 7:55am On Jan 13, 2017 |
I think it has to do with the military. eg the commander in chief, minister of defense, service chiefs & some top military commanders. wikipedia: An aide-de-camp (UK /ˌeid.dəˈkɑ̃ː/ or US /-ˈkæmp/;[1] French expression meaning literally helper in the [military] camp) is a personal assistant or secretary to a person of high rank, usually a senior military, police or government officer, a member of a royal family, or a head of state. This is not to be confused with an adjutant, who is the senior administrator of a military unit. The first aide-de-camp is typically the foremost personal aide. |
Politics / Re: Chibok Girls Reveal Those Behind Their Abduction(shocking Video) by hakanai(m): 7:39am On Jan 13, 2017 |
GEJ still to blame if the tale were to be true regardless. As the president and commander in chief then what actions did he take to prevent this or address the situation? Atleast going by the tale it would suggest actually an abduction happened, they were moved around freely while someone in Aso rock then didn't care to address the issue true or false. Last i checked even if it was political, it is a crime to stage such a thing. Now the question is what did GEJ do about it all that time?Lastly we never got the list of sponsors GEJ promised us until he was booted out. He did confirm to us he had a list an would make it public. Where is the damn list? We waited so long and he never gave us any list. Could it be that he also colluded with the criminal politicians for political ends? If not how do you explain a situation that as a leader you were ridiculed and had your people abused, abducted and killed yet you did nothing to address the situation! All that comes to mind, is Alex Badeh(Looting defense chief),Amosun( fly the loot chief) ,Obanikoro(vote financier aka fayose saga), Dasuki(Aka ATM),PEJ (Chai daris is God aka it wasn't my account) and the memories of Azazi( whistle blower) etc. You can't surround yourself with criminals at home and at work yet expect to get results. Even this bunch are enough to have misled GEJ for the gains it brings. Lastly PMB is shielding GEJ honestly. No lie, because no where on earth can approx. $2 bil and $153 be taken under an Africa leaders nose and he wont be alerted or notified. If that is possible we can all just forget the term "in control". Abi with NOI sense of accounts, huge money could just move without alert? As finance minister its enough to have raise a flag somewhere. I am sure if an investor came in with $100mil I can bet you we would hear about it as regards attracting investors. PMB has a pact with GEJ to prevent him answering to any accusation of the loots that happened during his tenure. If not how do you explain the loot in just 5years of a leaders term? claiming he was not aware is as daft as it comes. If you manage a country or a business and your staff can do this then we should just forget it.Because you are bound to fail. Alot happened and I think we would never know it all. 3 Likes |

Abeg any prediction on the actual value of naira to dollar for January 2017. Abi na political fortune teller only? How about tell us if Shekau will be captured or killed and when? Will price of crude rise or fall by what rate? When will Lagos - Ibadan road be completed ? LOL. ..! Anyway a lot of disclaimer in this prophecies. He left alot uncertainty so he could crawl back and deny any contrary outcome. Saying things like, except they pray or seek God . otherwise His prophecies will come to pass is a trick. If not tell us whether they will end up seeking God or not? Lastly God is all knowing and master of all creation. He does as he pleases with his creation. As such I ask only that God give us what is the best. Mr fortune teller please be more exact. Eg who go win next premier leaque with how many goals Do not put thy lord God to test o! All this bad news prophets and scare tactics. Fear your maker and be mindful you will be called to answer for all you do in the open and in secret o. 11 Likes |

ikennaf1: RevDesm0ndJuju: I am also sure that because of your negative intents as well you fail to see that it was 47% in 2002 and at 34% in 2010 a steady decline in that view and a negative in the trend whilst the likes of Pakistan Egypt and co are on the increase. Kindly look at the left most column and do a proper check and analysis. It would suggest a decline and not a growth. Meaning that view may even be less as of date. Nigeria had a -13% decline 2002 and -9% decline in 2010 whilst all others are between +8% to +2%. If anything is Good news that view is gradually changing and a good development. Thanks to the continued campaign on extremist view. It would suggest ours has worked positively and done alot. Enlightenment is the key. Let the scholars and government continue to tell people about the scourge and why it should be condemn. 1 Like |

If only people can get positive meaning to what some folks say. Has it also occurred to you that he meant it was religious but that people select the victims because they know they can use the cover of crisis to steal from there business and property. You won't loot and empty store and you won't rob a broke person. It only make sense to suggest some people target certain people because they believe they could loot stuff from them and hide under the guise of riot or crisis. Even because of envy some could use the opportunity to kill a business competitor. The Sultan may have capture some of the motives but I think alot of factors also contribute. Eg. Provocative actions, inciting people against other politically/religiously/tribal.Issues around mutual trust or Tolerance etc Without doubt what he said is a part of the reason.miscreants exist in all lawless society waiting to take advantage of any situation to he high off peoples sweat. 2 Likes |

0. rem44: Quote Post From the little I can understand from the information shared by Zuma Times in Hausa,a young soldier named Umar Isaac invited 4 of his colleagues to beat his neighbour Lawan Muhammad in Wailari. They beat him with guns. After beating him, they told him nothing will happen.Army in Bukavu Barracks says it has captured four of the soldiers.I am not very good in Hausa. Our Hausa readers should please explain more.... @op you got most of the translation correctly. Never the less he is Umar Isyaku by name and not Umar Isaac. Isyaku translate to Isaac I get but his actual name cannot be translated. Also the report is about a soldier who is in the habit of disturbing his neighbor to let him in to the house late at night. The neighbor/victim is saying he would insist or bother him always to come open the door for him.Despite the soldier having his own wife around. 1 Like |

Nutase: Leave North out of it. Between them they know the truth. Because the same north voted for MKO. Even Kano that is the home town of Tofa was won by MKO. The military leadership then and MKO definitely had something Anineh is not telling us about. MKO ran his elections with good rating and support from northern politicians Like Yaradua and the northern grassroot. Simply because IBB decide not to honor his part of handing over,One can not simply equate it to being a northern thing. If truly it was so why waste time and vote against Toga only to annul the elections. I don't know what, I know IBB and Abuola have an issue that is yet to be explained. Even Abiola in his statement said his friend IBB is out to embarrass him. He did not mention that the north is trying to deny him his votes. If you put that together its obvious something went wrong between them and had nothing to do with North. Such things happen every time. An example is between Atiku and Obj etc. |

discusant: Kindly name a few orangutan detention centre you know or prisons. The same person you clamour for was here in Nigeria , while same happened to other Nigerians and when public Infrastructure needed attention. Rather than fix it he stole it. He is deifnately the primitive one in the matter. When you try to take everything for only you and friends. Again they can rot there for all I care. The stupid call for there right is a distraction. How many times have you clamoured for the release or trial of the average Nigerians in detention awaiting trial. Possibly from one the corrupt judges as well. They should remain there. They took enough to even serve with hard labor. While people died due to the insurgency someone had the guts to steal what is needed to combat the menace. What is more primitive. 2 Likes |
