We are not being killed due to tribe but due to our religion. So whatever you raving on has little or nothing to do with us. We want a Christian president, be it from the middle belt or Core North or Igbo.

Noted! It's about politics then. You should have said that a long time ago. Anyway wish you whatever with the islamaphobic campaigns you need to garner so called votes. Have you thought about having a Christian party that would exclude muslims? That should be a good start for you. I mean it easily ensures its 110% christians. Don't forget you are core north so don't run back to calling yourself none core north. We would campaign and vote an inclusive government with all people at heart. When you finish your bigotry you would come home to sit on the crap you left.

That part of your post that states that the south is ahead of us caught my interest. Why do you think they are ahead of us. We have held power for a longer time and yet we are still underdeveloped.

1. Dont you think Islamic intolerance as against christian tolerance down south is to blame.

2. Dont you think that Muslim's being averse to education is to blame also

With a little more tolerance we would developed. Not by living as a primitive set of people.

a strong southern and Christian president is all we ask and will fight for. enough of the killings

1. Well Islam did not start today in the North and you can check that out. The North historically had its development years before now and Islam as religion was there with it. We lost track when politics took religion as a clog. The followers are to blame and not the faith.

2. Some Muslims can be averse to education. I strongly disagree with your other view. Because I also know some Christians too are averse to education.Looking deep I realized it has more to do with a mix of culture and personal desire. On one hand over emphasizing religious Knowledge over other knowledge areas. On the other leadership, desire by individuals and awareness.A cultural instance,My father told me that back then people who went to school were seen as being lazy. Not wanting to farm.It didnt stop him going to school and today he is better for it.
Most northerners saw is as less important and that explains the illiteracy levels in both Christians and Muslims in the North. Thank God that is changing too.Today you would find Imams preach about the importance of Western education.Parents telling more and more children, go to school. What I fear now is the quality of education in the north. It would take a while to reverse but its better late than never.I actually feel sad when I see the children hawking on the street. Because I only see another generation of backwardness.

Some indicators are the increasing number of schools in the north, enrollment, private styled Islamic schools that teach both religious and western learning. We are not there yet but the ship is taking a new direction. Not fast enough but surely It would turn.

“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

“Whoever seeks knowledge in one go, it will leave him at one go.Rather, knowledge is only sought through the passing of nights and days.”

Lastly both the North and south,Christian and Muslim reject same sex in Nigeria. What would be the thought of a homosexual? A true test of how we do things. Shouldn't the more civilized and christian south have supported it for the sake of tolerance and exposure to the west? We all have our priorities. Some may be wrong and others may be right. It is more than simply putting the blame on religion or region.

While you extend a hand of togetherness to us, You also play with our collective intelligence. Please there was never a time when Mosque preached against the Evil perpertuated by Boko Haram. Rather they fuel it, while they keep up a false front of unity.

You however did not answer my question- Why is there no peaceful coexistence between religious groups in the North. Why do the south not engage in Mosque burning since they do not agree with Muslims.

You simply preach what you dont know about

I hate to swear but I could mention a few i remember. Sheik Gumi did that openly in Kaduna and sultan openly said they are not following Islam.I would have loved to mention the different mosque same but I know you would dispute that.

How about this If it matters let ask God to cause anyone who is the liar among us. AM AWARE BY DEFAULT IF YOU DO NOT SEEK FORGIVENESS lying is remains a sin once spoken. So you are believer lets say O'Lord let the liar among answer for the lies.

I proudly say Ya'Allah If i bear witness that my Imam did not preach against extremist view and that of BH in the mosque as attended by me and falsely come to spread a lie that he did preach against them then let me answer to that on judgement day. cool

Over to you! Then lets be judged by God on the last day.

"You however did not answer my question- Why is there no peaceful coexistence between religious groups in the North. Why do the south not engage in Mosque burning since they do not agree with Muslims." =

That my brother is for me and you to answer. Why would you prefer to peddle divisive information over unity? Why would you and I prefer mutual suspicion over that community togetherness that once thrived and we celebrate festivities together. eg. You are aware alot of minorities in the North-east regardless of faith go home ember time to celebrate both Christmas and new year.

What did you and I do to keep the bond, unity and togetherness? What ever You choose to achieve with violence rarely succeed. By understanding and showing that respect we can start and rebuild it.

It was there once we just threw it out the window. At one time no one cared. We all made it this way.
You have to look at the north critically. To see her problems. Poverty, societal neglect, family issues,Jobs, education, economy etc Some would say alot more. As for me it starts with you and me.

The south is way ahead of us. We have issues that have originated into some great damages. How do we fix it. Is it by splitting or digging deeper. Which would be better you living in your house with a friendly neighbor or you having to reconcile with a distant neighbor whilst you are at war with your next door neighbor?

It is simple, what are the simple things you can start with? For me I feel education, empowerment and religious enlightenment. Because the Islam practice in the south or Dubai is not different from the one in the north. Our error is failing to recognize wrong from right.I am happier to see more mosque preach against extremist views and talk about self upliftment over pettiness, children education etc.
We are not there yet but its good start. Our leaders need to lead from the front. We also need not follow blindly where it matters but assist with positive development. They can be brought to order If the north matters to us like we claim.

My take on Buhari - I don't know what he is doing but he has a lot to do. I said something and I will keep to it.If he fails to deliver sufficiently or reasonably then I will vote against is simple. It is our betterment that comes first.

The position of you Muslims is not funny anymore. Here on this forum you seek to mask the real problems. You keep on saying that we [muslims and Christians] are together in this fight. All I wish for you to answer is below:

IN THE SOUTH WHERE CHRISTIANS ARE MAJORITY, MUSLIMS ARE WORSHIPING IN PEACE;

WHY CANT CHRISTIANS LIVE IN PEACE IN UNDER A MUSLIM MAJORITY?

Did you see me laughing?
You keep on saying that we [muslims and Christians] are together in this fight - Definitely ! Because all die equally and all fight equally for the nations good.
If only I didn't know other Muslims, relatives and friends better. Then maybe I would agree with you about hating Christians. In-short why should i doubt,When those fighting them made of both religions and more. The CJTF is made of both and more. The BIu emirate is made of both faiths(eg. The Madaki is a Christian).
The government and representatives of the communities - LGA,legislators local & national are made of both). You are there and like wise the Muslims. What majority of Muslims work with BH as against the huge number against them? With that I can safely say you are wrong.

While GEJ was in government Mosque started to preach against BH and extremist activities and I know alot of them did because I listen to them. I do not know what else they can do to convince you. They preach against it,fight against it and suffer it like you do.
What makes you different or better?

Sannu, Barka da Yamma. I took time to read through your entire post and I wanted to take time to answer your position.

Many individuals reading your post would not realize some flaws to it. I'll outline the flaws.

1. You failed to mention that the Boko haram members are our very own Muslim brethren.

2. You are a muslim and I dont expect you to say anything less than you said. It was just an attempt to mask the hatred beneath.

3. You did not explain as to why youths from a community in Plateau burnt a church in their community.

4. You continually lie that we are living together, while you continue to be killed and you expect us to keep quiet.

5. You are yet to explain why the North is killing off the Shia, or is that part of living together. Hausa christians voted for Jonathan and come 2019 we would mobilize even more votes.

@ number 1. = Would you then say the rest of Borno are Christians since they are not in BH.I mean the bulk for Borno is christian. Is that the case? Are you also aware that BH are largely made Kanuris, most of there commanders,Even Shekau? If i remember correctly you are kanuri. Should I then say you support them?

@number 2. =What is wrong if am a Muslim ? What hatred do you talk about? You are now resident in my heart. How about a prayer, O'Lord Judge between myself and the brother Danjuma for saying am something that I am not.
Again I have a mixed family and If truly you are from Borno. You can't dispute that.My mother is christian,my two siblings are christian in a house of 5 children. Some Uncles etc. It extends both maternal and paternal.Like any sane person I be disturbed for our collective safety ? Yes. Also that of my kinsmen as a whole. So how am I different from you? Brother I love them all and we share alot. That is why I feel unless you are saying to me you can see my heart and that of there own. Then ...

@number 3. = We shouldn't go to Plateau.Thank God they are gradually getting peace back to the Home of peace. But are you are aware that Mosque were touched too. What happened to the Mosque burnt by the christian youths? Or were there no incident of burnt mosque(s). Because where my brother stays in Jos is touched and the Mosque next to him which i visit for prayers likewise .Its all being rebuilt anyway. Thank God for normalcy and the spirit of peace that remains strong in peoples heart.

@number 4 = You lie brother. I did not kill anyone as a Muslim never done that and happily love you like any other. Anyone is welcome to be my friend. One of my very best buddy today is a christian and would do anything for him. Because I know he would too. I share my thoughts freely and appreciate his advice. We could be friends,If not you have your ways and I have mine. "
"Say : O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
Nor will I worship those whom you have worshipped;,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
To you be your Way, and to me mine." (Suratul kafirun)
Am guided by the above and see no reason for taking panadol over what ye believe in.

@number 5 = So the North comprise only Kano,Jos and Kaduna. Please remind me,how many states exist in the north? How many hold sunni majority. Why are the remaining lot not on a the killing spree too?If that is answered am sure my answer is not far from that.Last I checked the Sunni sultan is in Sokoto and somehow Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara mysteriously were missed out of the killing spree. He should be the one to have champion the massacre.Okay wait the last I checked he also asked the FGN to apply caution and release IMN leader. Hmmm!

Brother if you choose to go the route. Do carry on. The best will come God willing. Barka da Yamma. Sai Gobe. May God choose what is best for us and what will see us through the trying times.

I reside in Biu. But i am Kanuri and not a native of Biu . We came to Biu to escape religious violence in Gubio which is my Ancestral home. Sorry I wont give you specific village or names. I need my identity hidden for now.

Its understandable. So while in Biu did the CJTF comprise only Christians? Were you around when Yimirshika and other neighboring villages came under siege? Did the christian fight it off alone or did it involve the strong CJTF(Mostly made of Muslims from Biu, environs) also included the Army in Biu.They all fought to defend the people, especially in Biu regardless of belief. If not Biu itself would have fallen to BH.Now can you look in the face and say they had an Islamist agenda against you or work with BH to attack you? Be fair to them and isolate issues than generalize.Lets fear God and keep such divisive things away from us.

Anyway,Brother i say this gladly and its my opinion at the moment i don't see any reason I would support a tribe that laughed while we were under attack from extremist. Would call us all BH or even say we lie despite being killed against all odds.I will not support a tribe that till date feels that destruction we suffer should not be remedied or managed properly because they say we contribute nothing to the Federal coffers. I do not see reason why I should support a group that claims our problems were planned and stage by us to destroy all we have and the lands we own to win elections. I would not support a group that claims our kidnap sisters, elders, communities and parents are liars.

For all they care, they said we should be left alone to deal with our issues. Which exactly what they did while GEJ was in power. While BH took and destroyed. While we watched and they denied the issues.Such a person hold no place in my thoughts.

Lastly brother I should blame you for BH,being Kanuri... You folks make the bulk of there insurgency and it is us the minorities that should cry and not you. (Just joking sha!).

@op what tribe of Biu?Did anyone bother to follow the website URL provided by the OP? The website barely captures comments or much about what the poster is saying. Apart from only what he commented.

Like he stated also everyone is entitled to his opinion and I can state that some of his views of Biu,Shani and Chibok may not be accurate. The folks back home voted against GEJ for a reason. Be it christian and be it Muslims of Borno. They felt betrayed by the ineffectiveness of the FG/military to help them and the repeated denials by the president to the call for help.

It would be unfair to say the victims of BH are only Christians in the 3 states. To also make it seem an affair plotted by all Muslims against/targeted at Christians only. You simply need to look at the faces of fine men and women in the CJTF that put there life at risk to protect the various communities, you would realize the number of Muslims willing to protect every resident of Borno. Willing to die regardless to protect all.

Looking at the conflict around the 3 states you would find alot of victims across but faith and all ethnicity. It would be misleading not to review all attacks and review the demography of the attacks to reach such a conclusion that the attacks spared anyone.Konduga,Bama,Baga,Gamabro Ngala etc were largely Muslim enclaves and they were attacked especially Baga and without doubt you see the carnage. The deaths were enormous. Chibok did not suffer more than what this communities especially baga and bama. It would rather be naive to say then that it was target at only the Christians.

Lastly am from around where the OP claims and if anything we do well to respect our different faiths anyone can attest to that in southern Borno. We have Christians and Muslims as relatives hence why am shocked by the remarks of the OP and wonder where he is coming from. I have a family of Mixed faith ,from grand parents.Even amongst my siblings we have the mix. So how do you then make it a Muslims plot? How? I remember how we all share fear and concerns about BH attacks and sometimes people call to complain about being under siege. Praying for safety together. Was that all for show?Today that is hardly the case any. Thank God we are gradually having the attacks reduced.

The Biu you talked about, same Muslim Youths you falsely accuse were the ones who stood up to BH and provided the safe haven when nearby villagers fled it didn't matter the ethnicity and faith. EG. You are Kanuri from gubio and christian. In Biu that is largely Muslim,Bura/pabir and yet you find safety there! How then do you explain that?

Today I hear people have return to there farms. Something that was almost impossible some years back.Christians in the NE were split in voting. Simply because some felt GEJ did not do much for them particularly with regards to security. He was there when the chibok girls were taken and his government kept denying. To date some people who supportred GEJ,particularly of the some SE folks still claim It didn't happen. They disagree with the Chibok community and Borno government about the kidnaps.

Creating a divide in the North is sure to fail God-willing. Because if anything people are beginning to understand why harmony is important. Using religion or ethnicity may not have weight easily. The Christians of Borno voted and i spoke to people across the southern part which holds a good number of Christians. Alot voted against GEJ and a few number voted him based of faith. If you use ethnicity/religious bias instead of values and benefits to promote any political agenda you are surely on a long thing.

Lastly I beg to differ on the assumptions you have made. You would need the elite, money, mass mobilization and sensitization regardless of faith and ethnicity to win. What you propose would not cling a ticket. You can ask Buhari, atleast after several attempts he realized that. Ojukwu to tried with APGA .Like wise the North tried with APP,whilst SW with AD.You can learn from the past. Nigeria is fast changing politically.

It would be better your agenda is devoid of hate and discrimination. Because when you get there you will realize you have a diverse nation and that mentally would not fly except you want a divided nation. When you plot openly like this and the Muslims see it how do you expect them to react to christian with in there communities. Why not take them along and show them what offer them and what you also want. How to make the nation stronger through unity and democracy than all the Jihadist, secessionist and crusader agenda.

My post is not to upset anyone but The OP with his remarks maybe setting a bad feeling within the southern Borno communities that are made of Muslim and Christian living side by side. I appeal to you,do not introduce this feud because it will not take us anywhere. The leaders and people do well to promote harmony.Don't make us another Kaduna or Plateau.

Before crucifying the president for terminating contract with the mercenaries as this report pointed out that the contract was terminated on may 29 2015 how did the Nigeria troops got massive victory over this sect afterwards hmmmmmm.............something is fishing here abi na only me de think am

You dey mind them. That said will the mercenary do everything to secure 3 states and the neighboring countries ? Na wah for when you live in wonderland. If it was that easy and successful during GEJ, BH grew capturing, holding, bombing and threaten places.

Don't forget one of GEJ failures is not paying attention to the insurgence and failure to manage the situation. If they did there work probably he GEJ would have had that to his glory.

Without the Mercenaries,Nigeria army has continue to evolve positively. We should allow them build themselves and improve skills needed to tackle such security situations. Otherwise we may have a situation that every time something happens, we run outside soliciting for mercenaries.

The army is capable and I think the news is a load full of crap.It makes it seem the army is helpless.Just because of a slight upsurge in insurgency they act as the army never recorded successes in there campaigns. After all things were even worse than this before the army step up there game. They did that without the Mercenaries help. They can do better. What the need is more encourage. Review of there Strategy and continuous upgrade of there hardware. Paying for a quick fix that will be surface dressing is not the way out.

I won't be surprised someone has packaged another contract arrangement to siphon monies in the name of mercenaries. God willing It will not happen the army is more than capable! Nigerians are more than able to tackle the problem! They want to make it seem desperate so that someone can get forex again without result.

Make una free the man. He also holds a traditional title given to him since sultan Maccido. That was even before he became governor in IMO under APGA. As such he is entitled to wear the regalia and celebrate with the good people of sokoto. As a title holder he is paying his respect for the title he holds nothing political or insulting. Also what he wears is fit for a chieftain and not a commoner. He is led on a horse with his entourage as a form of respect and tribute. When you daft folks come here and always try to make things look otherwise it only baffles people. Obj holds ceremonial title too. They just did what any member of the royalty would do to celebrate with the sultan.
If this does not show friendship and good things to come between a people than all the tribalism and hating what else.
The Igbos need to know a tree does not make a forest. Tomorrow the same person you attack today because he choose friendship over hating could get you the support you need from the least expected areas. Encourage the bonds that bind than all the rubbish you encourage.
Even as a nation it would be better and prosperous for you if you have neighbors that is at peace with you. Just like in Europe. Rather than the reverse.
If hating is what you want keep at it and deplete all your energy on it to see where it takes you.

Last PDP rotational arrangement drove Nigeria almost aground, not PDP but the entire entity Nigeria! It originated as a PDP strategy to provide fairness and the nation as a whole accepted it somewhat. Also its collapse had alot to do with today outcome.

Lastly APC is a party as duly registered and recognized by the electoral body. As such i don't what you mean by gang? Looking at the fact they registered following the process and had national spread. They also hold alot of political offices after being voted. They are far more than a gang!

The office of the President of Nigeria is just a psychological thing. Everyone who held the position ended up a colosal disaster.

My fellow Igbos should learn to stay away from the office of president of Nigeria. It is worthless position best left to Westerners and Northeners so that they can continue their destruction of Nigeria like they have done for the last 50 years

We igbo must unite to achieve this!!!!!

That unity is not enough to win you a nation. You need to unite the nation or atleast 2/3 of the nation to support you enough to entrust there destiny in your hands.

Once you begin to see it from that angle then you can build the bridges you need and also the political alliance you will need. Do not spite anyone or try to make enemies of people regardless. The winning numbers may come from a hausa-man or fulani-man or someone from the south west.

Igbos have a long way to go on the political landscape and also have alot to do with regards to there relations other groups within the nation. They lost an opportunity with the PDP zoning arrangement by choosing to jettison the rotational agreement which by now would have favored them. They also lost in placing themselves in the creation of a New party APC.where had a chance again to have bargained and secured a slot if not now, with the future elections.

They should look closely and try to be inclusive in there plans.Than always believing they can do it alone. Atleast that approach has not worked for sometime, which you already know.Bring the North and south together to achieve your drive. You can be a a strategic political force as the nation is concerned.

I maintain that the Igbos have the spread to easily reachout and build bridges faster than any other tribe,If only they look within and recognize that potential to see others as people of importance to there quest. If they can clearly express a plan that shows interest in building others.

I will be moved if they start telling me what opportunities and what they would offer me and my interest group, If they get power. Rather than the reason its my turn reason or I have being short changed. You play your cards in every elections.Simply because you play it wrongly does not give you a free win.It simply means you should put your stuff together and play better.

The nation needs to move forward. What can you bring that will move it forward and also secure our collective future?I Wish them luck come next elections. Honest opinion at the moment, I am yet to see reason why I should vote an Igboman based on only reasons OP is giving. They fielded candidates in other parties. Also had the option to decide who they parley with during elections and vote for who wins or loses. That is all the fairness they can get and any other group. If they want to lead then Its up to them to make more friends, find common interest and build bonds enough to give them winning numbers across the nation.

Politics / Re: Sectarian Riots Most Likely To Occur Today In The North. by hakanai(m): 11:37am On Oct 14, 2016
BishopMagic:
There is strong possibility of sectarian riots and skirmishes occurring today being Friday across some Northern states.

I base my prediction on the events of the past 3 days in some Northern states where the Shia sect were targeted by both security apparatus and thugs.

The focus of today's jumat services will be centred on the heresy of the Shia branch of islam by radical imams in order to justify the clampdown on the sect by both the govt, security forces and street urchins.

After today's jumat service, I expect to hear of violent clashes orchestrated by the main stream sunni sect on the Shias but will also spread to non Muslims residing in the north.

The riots will be blamed on a false accusation on a Shia desecrating or blaspheming Islam and this will be the official narrative from the authorities in other to justify further clampdown on the sect.

The riots will also serve as distraction from the ineptitude of the APC led govt and also from the latest sensational scandal rocking Aso Rock involving Aisha's latest wailing.

If you are in the core north avoid city centres, market areas and limit your movement.

I have lived in the north and have known that religious riots always happen whenever there is a tense political atmosphere.

States most likely to be affected today are Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi and to a degree Minna in Niger.

Stay safe.

God forbid it happens. Notwithstanding i think security should be on the look out. As what you said maybe valid and IF it happens when security is off guard then response maybe slow. As for me anything can happen. Your treat analysis is a good one if you ask me. But we should just confine it to North and Sunni action. As a fallout of the recent event any aggrieved person or enemy of the state can exploit the situation. Example what if the Shia decide to hit back during Jumat? I mean in retaliation!

So i think really its a possibility. As such the security should consider being on the look out.

I think FGN should place an order for like 50 or 100 units fro a start to encourage them and help build confidence. It could be used in schools as part of government educational drive or used to transport IDPs across Nigeria from conflict zones and disaster areas.

I really think government should patronize them. Its a good start and a nice one. Lastly i Also think is not just for FGN,states particularly the ND states should pick up the courage to buy from them and then show the way.

Quite frankly i agree with u : d labors of Jagaban shud nt b in vain. Hw has paid has dues in full and shud b held as such.

Lets kip sentiments n emotions aside. D Buhari clique r gaming n seriously planning of how to win d nxt elections without Tinubu. Dey r nt backing down on dis!

Tinubu can do many tins ; stay bak n fight, leave apc for pdp, form a new paty etc. The best move for now may not be very clear to anybody. Believe me.
If he leaves apc, of kos ppl will go wt him. But dey wont be much to deny pmb a 2nd term. Dis z wat d Buhari clique believes. Jagaban knws d truth too.
Apc z big enof to contain all of dem ; if wat rili bodas dem all z Nigeria - d Country, d ppl and dir wellbeing.

Again that view is all wrong. At the moment the APC factions are mostly aligned into 3. The Buhari group from CPC,Tinubu group from ACN and decamped PDP . It is nothing about North or south abi Buhari. As it stands today Tinubu played his cards but i think he is over stretching his bounds and also asking for alot that he seems to be stepping into the zone of the other 2 entities. May i ask where Oyegun is from and what party he jumped from to join APC. Buhari people in APC are not really much. Outside the party yes. It is Buhari that needs Tinubu and not the other way. What seems to be happening is ACN is slipping from the control of Tinubu.Decamped PDP are also reorganising. The issue have always being against Tinubu influence after the Saraki and Dogara saga.

Tinubu has dictated alot in the APC and should be humble to allow certain things pass. VP,ministerial positions,NASS-SW,SW political structure and even some northern matters. Now if you ask who dare crosses to the Tinubu domain within the SW? nobody! whilst he keeps going all over. He should thank God for the much influence he enjoys and the Buhari attention he also enjoys. At least that guy Tinubu is got the executive in his pocket. NASS has gone to the decamped PDP and now the battle for APC as a party.

Buhari is a neutral entity here and could fall victim if decamp PDP wins.Buhari relies heavily on Tinubu support within the party. He is not in tune with the decamp PDP after taking side with Tinubu against Saraki. It maybe true that Buhari is sort after by the PDP elements in APC. But he is more a treat to them than Tinubu. Tell me where you see Tinubu accuse or suggest any form of disagreement with Buhari?

The battle now is for who controls & dictates to the party. which Buhari is not interested in. Except for the Decamped PDP elements and Tinubu.

Noted sir... but here is my own opinion... these boys sometimes over powers d military... if d military can't stand them... the CJTF can't either... and what happens when they over power d army after d place has been built up.. Destruction... in a higher fold... talking about how d new development would hinder their movement... it won't... that's even when they would enter more cause they can disguise.. but on a destroyed place...u can't make any excuse for been there... get my point. .. from d info i got... some of d borno residents even harbour boko haram members... imagine whay would happen

At present the army has recorded greater success stopping, repelling and containing the insurgents. like wise the CJTF who within the established domains they operate have done well to spot BH or stop infiltration. With the said progress i can say it will succeed and the insurgents are going to have a difficult time over running them as in the past. The army has not lost ground in the recent past. Unless exceptions are the occasioned hit and run. Also that has not being so successful. As the Army is able to track them or make it a costly move.
Again it is wise to be cautious and it is also sensible to consider the security of the community. I am sure the army and civil authorities have put measures in place to forestall such an incidence or breach in the security before embarking on such a move.

Always note that they(BH) need resources as humans or animals to succeed. That includes shelter, food, water, weapons, safe routes etc. You can imagine what an empty large community would offer them. you need to break the will for them to continue the fight. Deny them everything until they are willing to embrace peace. Even air if it was possible.

They brought borno to what it is today.... am 100% sure the governor knows wassup.. meanwhile they r in a rush to develop a city that's still facing d threat of these islami extremists... Give it more time jare government...

I would say the idea is to take Back what you lost and put it to use. Until the enemy lacks place to hide/use. If the government restores confidence and life returns, then it would be much harder for the terrorist to move about within such domains. Take a scenario where they choose to invade a big community, The would need more resources to achieve that. In that case they become more and more visible. NAF gets to see them and the NA notices the movement. If they come in small numbers, its easier for the CJTF or community to defend themselves. They are most likely going to be left with only suicide attacks or small isolated attacks. Which can be managed if not eradicated. Whilst If you leave it empty and deserted, they can camp there sneak in and out . Use it as a staging point with ease.

Above all with dwindling resources i would suggest they give it a shot at resettling the community/ IDPs. As aid and support won't last forever. Resettle them, improve security and restore the economy of the community to minimize the spending on IDPs. Teach them to fish and defend themselves, let them fish!
