ednut1: I had actually observed from your comments that you used every opportunity to paint Nigeria bad. You have not even stayed up to one year in Canada, you have started looking at those living in 9ja as stupid. This attitude is very bad and common to newcomers like you. I have seen some newcomers like you degrading Nigeria their home country in front of their white colleagues or friends. Very unfortunate indeed! Granted, Canada has a workable system to an extent while Nigeria system is messed up due to the ruling elites and average 9ja citizens. The fact you are currently living in Canada does not make you much better than someone who has a good job or business in 9ja and doing well in his endeavors. Like I always say, no where in the world is paradise. Every country has their pros and cons. Those who want to migrate to Canada should be allow to migrate in peace, and those who migrated to Canny should allow those living in 9ja to live in peace and stop those unnecessary comparisons. Not everyone will make in 9ja same as not everyone will make it in Canny. The prayer is God should bless the work of our hand wherever we find ourselves. 6 Likes 1 Share |

BUSHHUNTER: The hype is getting annoying. I have been living in Canada for 10 years and a citizen too. The main difference between Canada and Nigeria is the system works to some extent in the former while the system is messed up in the latter by the ruling elites and average 9ja citizens. Canada is not paradise where you pick money free. Even getting a good job with decent pay in Canada is hard to come by too, especially this era of too many highly qualified professionals coming to Canada. Lots of people in Canada are doing the so called menial jobs (minimum wage). According to statistics Canada many of the jobs are in the service sectors ( jobs in this sector are minimum wage jobs like working in Tim Horton etc). The funny thing is that Nigerians in Canada always feel that because they are in Canada they are better than those in Nigeria (guys be humble both of us know how e dey go for Canny). Some guys in Nigeria are doing better than some of us here. Not everyone will make it in Canada same as not everyone will make it in 9ja. So if you want to migrate, then migrate in peace and stop behaving like those living in 9ja are stupid. Nowhere is paradise. The prayer is God should favor one whereever he finds himself. 21 Likes 1 Share |

mokkalu1: Any wise south easterners should distance themselves from this ipob security outfit. Going by the law of the land is illegal, and this is the way society creates a terrorist organization. The funny thing is those igbo people backing and supporting ipob security outfit are not even living in Nigeria and they will be making calls for war. The ipob leader no doubt will lead some foolish youths to their early grave. No south east governors or senators or house of rep members will support this illegal security outfit. Ipob should stop beating drums of war, alaigbo will not survive another civil war again, MNK will not be physically there to fight the war, remember he is a UK citizen. A word is a enough for the wise. The foolish ones will die for nothing but the wise ones will see danger and proceed to conceal themselves. Your curses are welcome in advance (ndi ara ndi ara). I want progress in alaigbo but not through this format or method. The last time I was in Nigeria, was going from Umuahia to Aba, this ipob boys were extorting motorist with brute force. Even when I use igbo to engage with them, those ipob boys are uncultured and very violent have to drop them some money b4 they allow me to pass through their illegal checkpoint. So na this way we want use get this Biafra abi! 1 Like |

Asquare84: I agree to your last statement. Some people in Canada always overhyped it. This is my 10 years of living in Canada. Had a Canadain degree in computer science. Works as software developer in one of the biggest financial firms here. Earns a decent salary based on Canadain standard. But the reality in Canada is only 10% of the population earns from $80k upward per annum (source: statistics Canada). Canada has more of service sector jobs and warehouses than graduate jobs. Reasons why many people in Canada earns within the range of minimum wages obtainable in their respective provinces. I have seen some Nigerians working at one of Amazon fulfillment centers as associate (job is strenuous and fast paced but pay is minimum wage), and these people will tell you that they were project engineers in one oil and gas company in Nigeria making millions of naira every month without much stress. Sometimes you will see the regrets on their face and some will even blame their wife of causing them to leave their well paying job to migrate to Canny. Here am not discouraging people to migrate to canny. But if you have a well paying jobs or a well paying business in 9ja and are already used to soft life lol, think twice before coming to Canada and prepared your minds that you could end up with menial jobs which you are not used to. But for those who don't have anything much going on for them in Nigeria, abeg japa to Canada. At least serving coffee in Tim Hortons and earning $12 per hour is better than earning 100k per month in 9ja. NB: No where is paradise even in Canada. So brace up when you land. To OP welcome to the maple land in advance. All the best 3 Likes |

Whiteangel1234: A culture that dehumanize your fellow humans, is that a culture to uphold or put in high esteem? Who are you to label God's creatures as unfit to mingle with their fellow humans? Any igbo man or woman encouraging and supporting this osu caste system are not any different from Satan himself. All good people both igbo and non igbos should rise up and condemn this osu caste system. This osu caste system is just pure hatred to your fellow humans. God must surely judge those who harbors hatred to their fellow humans. 4 Likes |

Since you tested 5th weeks after exposure, I don't think you have HIV. If the text was done with the 4th gen hiv test at 4weeks after exposure 95% of the people will test positive. Find out if the test was done with the 4th gen hiv test because that looks for hiv antigen and antibiotics. Hiv antigen p24 becomes detectable in the early days of exposure to hiv from 11 to 36days before the body can start producing hiv antibiotics. Infact i can say at 5th weeks after exposure your test result is 95% conclusive. You can retest after 3 months for just peace of mind but I doubt if the result will be different. Abstinence is the best because Jehovah want you to avoid premarital sex (Acts 15:28,29) |

It seems that for MAY applicants there have not been any updates about their applications. I submitted my younger bro application on May 30, but no sort of updates from cic till now. Does it mean that the visa officers handling May applications are on vacation? Can May applicants update us here about the status of their applications? 1 Like |

Answering YES means you are telling cic that you want to complete a medical exam. Since Nigeria is among the countries that requires medical exams, I think answering Yes should be the correct thing to do. Please I stand to be corrected. 4 Likes |
Travel / Re: 800k A Month: Should I Travel To Canada? by Halifaxguy: 3:29am On May 27, 2020 |
Scaredd:Bro, 800k per month is a good income in Nigeria, with this income you be saving more than someone who earns the same amount in Canada. But if you are into Tech you will be making more than that in Canada. But here we pay high income tax too. The truth is if your looking to make too much money Canada does not guarantee you that unless you be playing lotto max every week to try your luck. But if you are looking for a decent living then Canada guarantee you that (but you still need to put in the work, nothing is free here). Goodluck in your decision making. 1 Like |

DanielIkeije: Hmmm, bro easy oh. Even many intermediate to senior software developers or Data Engineers/Data scientists in advance countries don't even earns $10k net income monthly. So you think taking some udemy courses you bought with $15 will instantly start fetching you thousands of dollars monthly? It does not actually work like that, it takes time and effort to develop highly demanding skill. For example, lots of guys wants to be a programmer but when the going gets tough some will give up on the way and become frustrated. 10 Likes |

ThreeBlackBird: I laugh at this very statement. Infact your statement doesn't make sense. As a graduate of computer science, it has opened lots of opportunities for me to work in some big firms. One thing you must remember that the way computer science is taught in foreign universities is quite different from the way is been taught in Nigeria universities. I was opportuned to have tested both sides of education. My first degree was B.Tech in computer science and mathematics from a Nigeria school. But when I moved to abroad I went back to study computer science major. Abroad schools will exposed you to different programming languages (Java, C++, Python, php, javascript, Css etc ) and you must be doing ongoing projects using the technologies you learned in class and there are work terms where you are required to work in a company and help the company to solve their business problems using the programming skills acquired in class. 6 Likes |

Timileyin1234: You really spoke my mind! I think much of it have to do with the poverty mentality of an average Nigerians. Here in North America (US & Canada) nobody cares what kind of smart phone you possess. Nobody worship you because you are using the latest iPhone. There are other very expensive phones some of us are using but we don't make noise about it. If you are in Nigeria and can afford 600k to get the iphone, get it but please dont use it to intimidate your fellow country men. I know some ladies who have already made up their mind to sleep with countless men in order to raise 600k for the latest iPhone, while some guys are already scheming for whom to scam to raise 600k for iPhone. |
