A very scary incident has happened in Onitsha, Anambra State as three young men boarded a bus filled with criminals and kidnappers on Wednesday, 23rd February 2022.
It was gathered that the bus was conveying its occupants to Asaba in Delta State from Onitsha.
The bus was filled with both young and old people who the new passengers thought were also travelling.
Before the bus got to the head bridge, two occupants of the vehicle brought out guns and ordered three new innocent passengers to keep quiet and not make a sound.Unknown to the criminals, one of the new innocent passengers was a naval officer-cadet who immediately brought out his phone underneath the seat as they were seated at the back and sent a message to his colleagues at head bridge.
On getting to head bridge, all law enforcement officers were waiting for the bus and arrested the criminals.
The criminals were dressed ordinarily and were mixed up with both male and female, old and young which made it believable that they were commuters

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has zoned its chairmanship to the north ahead of the 2023 elections.
Governors Nasiru El-Rufai (Kaduna) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), announced this while responding to Daily Trust’s question at a media briefing, which held after President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with governors of the ruling party.
El-Rufai said the party has agreed to swap the current vacant positions in the National Working Committee (NWC) between the Northern and Southern parts of the country ahead of March 26 national convention.
By implication, the chairmanship position, which has been held by former Governors John Odigie-Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State from the South will now go to the North.
El-Rufai said, “We have agreed a zoning formula for all the six geopolitical zones and essentially, we swapped. Northern zones will take positions that Southern zones had in the last eight years and vice versa.
“So, it’s a very simple, equitable and fair formula. We will now go back and consult at the zonal level, and look at the positions that are available and the process of the convention preparation will start in earnest. So by the grace of God on the 26th of March, we will have done a national convention.”
The brief meeting that took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja were attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and 19 governors, including those of Yobe, Kano, Kogi, Ekiti, Nasarawa, Kwara, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Lagos, Imo, Ogun, Borno, Niger, Gombe, Osun, Kebbi, Plateau, as well as Deputy Governor of Anambra State who left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the APC last year.

A new political party to be known as The National Movement being convened by the immediate past governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa K Kwankwaso, is to be formally launched today in Abuja.
The development, which is a confirmation of a report by Telegraph, is conveyed in a statement by the Protem Secretary, Prof. Rufai Alkali, ex-Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters.
According to sources, other notable political figures expected at the launch are former governors Achike Udenwa (Imo), Lucky Igbinedion (Edo) and Murtala Nyako (Adamawa). Also billed to attend the event are former allies of President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Buba Galadima, the immediate past Minister of Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalung, Dr. Usman Bugaje,Prof. Pat Utomi, and a former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State. Findings by New Telegraph also revealed that the immediate past Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega,as well as past and present members of the National Assembly such as Senators Rufai Hanga, Abdulrahaman Railway, will be part of the event.

According to Vanguard, seven traffic robbers have been arrested by the Lagos Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) near the Ikeja City Mall (ICM). It was revealed that some members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mile 2 park, were the ones who raised alarm concerning these criminals and also assisted the police in getting them arrested. The suspects, Anifowoshe Kolawole, Patrick Ameke, John Britto, Segun Peters, Kabiru Odeh, Nurudeen Suraj and Dennis Ikuvbogie while been interviewed by the newsmen on Friday confessed to the crimes.
The suspects in their own words said, "Until the day we were arrested, we've usually succeeded in our operations because we always pretend to be beggars before robbing people around the mall. Sometimes, we used to change our strategies and pretend as if we are nose mask vendors so that people won't easily detect that we are armed robbers".

However, the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi commended civilians that provide intelligence to the security agency and also vowed that the suspects would be charged to book for their criminal act
