From what I deduce from this story, the husband is highly responsible for the pregnancy because how can he take a girl under his care to a hospital and after series of test found out she was pregnant and decide to keep it away from his wife. No sane man will accommodate that. Like the girl mentioned, he wanted to carryout his evil act (abortion) quietly so that his wife won't noticed. Perhaps he has planned a date already for the abortion. It's a good thing the young girl ran away for her dear life. Men like this don't care about what happens after the abortion, whether there is complications or not. All they want this to clear their names of the list.

All these are trivial issues that can be worked upon. First couple of years in marriage is a huge learning period for both husband and wife. After all, we live to learn. All I see here is an evil friend who is trying to destroy a young marriage probably for his own selfish gains. Friends like this will be subtly poisoning your mind against your spouse till you start questioning your decision to marry him/her. A friend that encourages you to get drunk and womanize, is that one a friend?
