Balanced diet na another entirely difficult subject matter here. The issue here is watching one's daily caloric intake which in a way is portion watching.

I say in a way because portion watching can become a bit ambiguous when we don't pay close attention to other factors. For instance, if i work as a kindrgarten teacher and i consume on the weekends, vacations and holidays, the same portions I consume during the school year, I am bound to struggle weight wise and this for the majority since those with high metabolism are in the minority pretty much everywhere you go on this planet. And I don't ofcourse need to explain the problems that go along with obesity to you or anyone.

In my opinion, what calory counting does is keep you aware of your body's caloric need and letting you realize when you may have exceeded it so you can adjust over the next day, weeks and months to compensate and get you back on track with ease.

Ofcourse, it takes time to develop any habit.

I suggested balanced diet because it will be easier for the average Nigerian, and our mentality will accept it faster. It's just the way we are.

Tell the average man not to eat loads of bread in the morning, heavy loads of swallow in the afternoon and a large plate of rice in the evening, and you will be ignored.

However, put more emphasis on balanced diet first, and that way, the person can be advised to reduce some loaves of bread, or swallow for more fruits and vegetables. The person can take more protiens whichay be more filling and slower in digestion than carbohydrates.

With this increased awareness, it will be easier to introduce portion control and calorie balancing.

It's also not easy to keep calorie count because most of our foods are not made that way and almost all of us won't go out of our way just to start calculating how many calories is in a spoon of rice, or 100 of Amala or fufu.

Most people eat to satisfy their hunger and just move on. It will take time.

I think what most of us need is moderation and balancing of meals, seriously. Some may burn the excess calories, some won't.
Also some won't get fat no matter what but still eat poor meals.

A better approach would be to let others know about importance of balanced diet, how to easily achieve it in this Nigerian economy, and how to eat moderately.

I am having difficulty passing stool for 5 days now. I cried today as I bled to pass stool coupled with my stitched below.
I was at the health center yesterday and the doctor recommended fruits, vegetables, more fluid which I was doing prior to my visit.
They're using breastfeeding to guilt trip me and not prescribe something. Oyibo dey take stool softener as seen on pinterest.

This was my first journey. What helped me the second time was vegetables soup and less swallow. I ate the vegetable soup as a meal alone as it always relaxes my digestive system.
Oh, and with a lot of pepper. Was painful but worth it.

No doctor actually placed me on clomid but me and hubby agreed to take the bold step because we've done a lot of scan which shows am perfect in and out and the irregular period could be while am having irregular ovulation and my hubby comes home sometimes twice a year ....very scanty anyway .
That's why and I noticed my uterus was a bit reduced from 4.9cm to 3.4cm but the doctor says it's still okay( ds was the effect of clomid I noticed) could this grow again back to her former size?.

Am having exact pregnancy symptoms for almost 5weeks plus now, though it's fair but some are getting concentrate like my breast has been increasing and I've not had any other blood flow since the two I had and state clearly in my first Post.
I'M having breast tenderness, appetite issue, small backpain, and mornig sickness wit a lot of sleep.


NB:The gestational sac the tech saw was said to be "PARTIALLY COLLAPSED" Is that not a cause for concern? .

From what I do know, you just need to be calm and go back for another scan in two weeks, or less to determine if the pregnancy is ok.

Just calm down, rest,eat well and part a lot. There's nothing that God can not do. At this stage, there is almost nothing anyone can do about it.

Any doctor here or anyone who can explain below scan for me more.
After one circle dose that ends around 20th of Nov, my period starts on 15th Nov and I started d clomid dose on 16th based on I always have irregular period and detecting my ovulation period is damn hard.
Some times around December 20th, I had some blood flow which I tot was implantation because it stops same day and just come few hours like 2 or below, then on the 24th again same kind of blood flow rushes and am now in dilemma Wat could this be, I'm not too afraid since they stop almost instantly.
Today being 06th of Jan, I did PT test strip with strip and got positive, curiosly I went to d hospital and carry out pelvic scan to ascertain my condition and got the below image which I interpret to be miscarriage or clomid effect.


MY QUESTION NOW IS ,COULD CLOMID induce growth in my gestation sac or even in my womb? .
Another one worrying me is that the gestation sac is partially collapsed ( though the tech says something that looks like gestation sac not gestational sac itself. He's not sure I assume)
Could this parallel state means it's about to grow or it was up and now going down.
I did urine test at the hospital and it came out positive too but they said it was faint and not bold enough .so they are still confuse.

Someone should help me interprete the same result in details.

Congratulations.
It seems like you're pregnant, but definitely very early for the scan to detect anything. Coupled with irregular period, it's hard to say exactly how far along you are. Most abdominal scans can detect pregnancy around 7 weeks or so.

Clomid only causes growth of follicles, not a gestational sac.

Any other bleeding after the first two? I would say you stay calm and if possible, go back for a repeat scan in a week. Or two weeks if not possible.

It would also help to contact the doctor who placed you in clomid as that personnhas your complete history and can reassure you.
I pray this is your year, and God will take you through it safely.

Breathing test was done on the womb and it was cleared baby breath wasn't coming up. Obviously, baby gone and next thing is evacuation at exactly 8 months gone. It was discovered when the baby came out, it was chromosomally abnormalities. Thank God, wife was able to get over it.

Fast forward to today exactly one year after the last experience, seven weeks gone into pregnancy, wifey just discovered wetness in her panties, lo and behold, blood with thick cloth stained the pant, entered toilet to clean, and immediately drove to the hospital. Doctor run check, cervix was opened and blood flow. Meaning, no more baby in intact shape. Evacuation done afterwards

Really sorry if I couldn't place all in the write but I believe experienced mom's understand the little I can put up.

This is heartbreaking, but the One that did it for you twice will do it even more and it shall end in praise.

The thing is with both cases, there's nothing you could have done medically. Chromosomal abnormalities and early pregnancy loss that has gotten to that stage can't be solved and it's no one's fault, not you or your wife's or the doctor.

Just let her eat well, pray and pray, and try again.
