FKO81:This is a testimony of affluence! Call it the magic of being Igbo! Above all it is Igbotic to the core!! More of such! #Nostalgic+Proudlynwafor# |
Me sef don buy land worth of 40 million dollars at Anam water front located at 300 Anambra cruise avenue! Caveat Emptor! Udo chianu! |
BuddahMonk:If the calls for Ekweremmadu's resignation was anchored on his inability to attract remarkable federal projects to Igboland, then I support them fully. It is also disheartening to note that ENugu/Onitsha expressway remains a death trap till today. Friends,I still recall that work began on that road since 2007 and it is a shock that it remains uncompleted 8 years later! And their Is sTill no indication of compleTion anytime soon from what I saw and read on this thread.Such a shame!I recall seeing the Umunya section of that road on this thread. That section has completely failed and can easily be a blind spot for robbers to terrorize travellers. Whatever Ekweremmadu did in his constuency was covered in his constituency allowance and for heaven's sake, constructing track roads and erecting ugly and crude looking solar powered street lights is nothing to shout about! I also have my reservations about Ugwuanyi's 15 man committee but let's see what they can come up with before year ends. Prof Nebo's inertia in Power Ministry and the barrage of complaints about Iweala's anonymous status in Ogwashi should cause us to convene a town hall meeting of all igbo sons and daughters in governement and drum our expectations into their eyes! #i wish# Damn any error:typing with my phone..Good day! |
Abagworo:Abagworo or whatever kolanut specie u chose to call urself! Listen well! First,i heard you are a cross breed of Imo and Ikwerre. Igbos will never cast away their own seed but your reprehensible attitude of casting demeaning jabs at us all, both on this thread and the Anambra thread must be noted openly. Unfortunately,ur maternal state,Imo state is governed by one shambolic, lousy and comical profligate known as Rochas. He has since shown to be a disaster in governance. Most of the things you criticize here are lacking and are still pipe dreams in Imo state in spite of their enviable human resources. If only you will focus your bile on him to step up! Documented history has it that your kinsmen,Ikwerre, seized Igbo properties after the Biafra genocide. As you can see,we have since moved from bungalows to multistorey edifices, the very ones you call Igbotic! It is a testament of pride and affluence! I still wonder why your River State remains a sprawling pile of squalid and squatter settlements with little to show even in the midst of the petrodollars.#shame# Have you ever imagined what Chime or Obi/Obioano would have done in their respective states if they had the kind of resources Rochas and Amechi had at their disposal? Both Imo and Rivers are NDDC states with mind blowing allocations yet they are yet to turn neither the physical nor the economic fortunes around.Save for the federal government projects,by viture of being an oil producing state and the expatriate firms facilities,River state will be an eyesore. I was among those who repel Chino from insulting but you have since shown to be unworthy of respect. Isn't it funny that you still fail to note the difference between residential building and office blocks. Bros get enlightened and by all means acquire exposure more! Iam still waiting for you to open a thread and showcase the economic, social and political developments in River State.Your imo thread is crawling and almost on life support.Bros take time. Happy sunday! |
InyinyaAgbaOku:.So the only thing worthy of mention gburugburu did since he mounted the saddle was barking at some faceless contractor to speed up work in one tiny insignificant holy ghost/ogbete axis? Poppycok! The nigga better shoot, and fast too! No time to waste! Has he even nominated his cabinet? Kindly avail us! Udo! |
spyder880:@Spyder. You better clarify what you mean by that ashua azu-whatevadahell that means! You mean gburugburu has not issued a policy direction for his administration since he took over? Please Kill my suspense and tell me what's happening. I have no nsukka man or woman here to ask! Deme! |
liberty300:Like someone already noted,it is nwodo street. Wait o! So that red multistorey buiilding is n.u.t house(former british council library)? Was it repainted? Sunshine guest house is supposed to be at the beginning of the street and there are a couple of other hang outs down further.why is the pic looking so bland and bare? Nice rattle there chief spyder! More please! |
spyder880:@Spider Nwanne! U mean Zion Hills estate... ! Welcome on board! Please keep your camera ready! |
cjrane:Talking about Igbo language preservation.Me thinks the Ohaneze folks are getting their priorities wrong ultimately. Our language embodies our civilization and losing the language means losing our civilization and losing our civilization is losing our very eSsence. An umbrella body like Ohaneze ought to make cultural rennaissance and language preservation an integral focus and not the scare time and resources they waste on politicking, back biting and betrayal of group interests. |
cjrane:@CJrane: Good thinking,Good product! That's what and who u are! Jisike nwanne! You just nailed! Nothing to be added, nothing to be taken away! It is as unfortunate as it is tragic, yet,we must either sail through this sea of errors(Nigeria) and prevail or we shall be marooned at bay forever! Happy Sunday, people! |
spyder880:Who shall we meet/talk to in bid to halt the show of shame? Whatever led to shifting this thread to travel section? Who are the mods and supermods? Do u have their contacts? If you do,kindly past their contacts here.We will all collectively contact them and trash this matter.I saw a protest thread on this matter on fp last week and it was such a shame what the arguments some of the mods gave for this transfer. Every other state centred thread is still on Fp and at no time transferd to another section. How and why this thread was targeted beats me.Spyder,Cjrane,Bishop,Igboson,Unemadu,Nightshift,CaptainOjemba, biafraqueen etc you guys must see this matter as a collective affront and raise your voices louder. I learnt Afam4ever,who is even an Enugu indigene is a mod in politics section? Somebody should correct me please. And Spyder don't think of opening another thread. This is our thread and there shall be no duplicate. Ndewo nu! |
3 full pages of absolute trash and display of the worst form of psychotic disorder by a pathetic case of a man who lacks every known decorum and canon of good conduct expected of a self acclaimed educated "big man"! Our brothers at mgbuka Obosi and head bridge offer more hope than you,who obviously wasted your years in whatever institution you attended because it is obvious you are a lost case! First,Awka is still an eyesore when one considers the potentials and what a befitting capital city a great state like Anambra should have. Many of us were furious with Peter Obi because he failed to give the state capital a facelift, not taking away his strides in other sectors. There is no way Obiano would have corrected the infrastructural deficits in Awka under one year to make it the Dubai of Chino's battered dream, the many developmental projects going on there notwithstanding.Awka belongs to the future and we all are excited about it. Cease your madness! That you even go to the extent of threatening people's families and health challenges shows what a parochial dreg you are. Your claims of being an Uga man is suspect and even your Igbo claim is under scrutiny. Glad all nwafors in this thread have since placed a caveat on you and your trashy self! Makakwu! |
Kcinho:@Kcinho.Did you just say "if the above will not affect "only" the rich"? Do you really understand the multiplier effects of capital investment in an economy? Innoson and Dnagote are industrialists but the real beneficiaries of their economic production are their employees ie technicians, managers, suppliers, staff and the endless chain of direct and indirect stakeholders who play key parts in their production process. Such trickle and multiplier effect as described are the bases and catalyst for the vibrant economies we adore the world over. The place of governement policies cannot be over-emphasised of course and that is where i expect the state government to step up. Tax holidays, industrial estates and assisting the foreign investments in securing operational licenses, devoid of the needless bottlenecks which hinder business growth in Nigeria should also form the bedrock of our businness policies.I also expect government at all levels to make laws that restrict capital flight and ensure profits are re-invested into the country. |
I recalled informing you,my learned brethren on this thread, a month ago about the collection of diaspora technocrats whose sole aim is to drive an influx of FDIs never seen before into Enugu under Ugwuanyi.I equally told you guys some of them were already enroute to China and Europe? Gburugburu just confirmed that in his opening speech. The contigent to South Africa will be enroute to Joburg next week and the target is 3 billion dollars worth of Investments with low cost housing and solid mineral development having the upper focus. Suffice it to say that great times are here in Enugu and the good news is that this bunch of technocrats are not only wawa born but also brothers from other states with prime interests in Enugu's mega-super-bright future! I pray Gburugburu does not become parochial and clannish! An all inclusive government is the real deal. In another vein,mods,supermods,super-super mods, please,I beg all of you in the name of whatever (G) god you worship, push this thread back to the politics section where it belongs! There are countless trashy garbagges a.k.a threads with no substance for enlightenment and life occupying Politics section. This thread, just like the Anambra and Imo threads are our mirrors and meters to assess the quality of governance in the eastern states. The focus is pure State and Economy(Political Economy) and I struggle to know why and what d heck it is doing here@Travel session. Meanwhile, have urself a soulful and sober Biafra remebrance day! I lost countless uncles and relatives, including 4 lawyers and 6 Engineers in the war. They did not die in vain.God bless us all! |
I also lend my voice with those appealing to the powers that be to kindly move this thread back to the Politics section. The essence of the thread is t0 showcase the developments and transformations which emanated from the focused administration of the current regime in Enugu state and nothing more.it is political as anything and has absolutely nothing to do with travel or tourism in the real sense. Infact, more political and economical theories, postulations and philosophies have been discussed on this thread than any I have seen so far so wetin concern am concern travel biko? Abeg,do the needful. Jahbless! |
investnow2013:It is also high time the state government should start planning to build a befitting NYSC camp in Anambra state. This Umunya Amazon forest is long overdue for a facelift.Even the access road leading to it is an eyesore if my memory serves me right. There is enough corporate bodies in Anambra state that can donate halls, hostels, boreholes and other critical amenities to make the 3 weeks "toture" a bit convenient. Damn error if any! Chukwugozie# |
Schematics:I am inclined to believe the State government is enforcing strict locality codes for private real estate developers just like we have in Osha and Enugu. It will look unsightly for all these multi-storey edifices to be sharing spaces with bungalows and squatters. At least "broda" Chino and company can also confirm the inner street roads, walkways and appropriate markings are provided? Either way,am fiercely proud of the strides this thread provided thus far and other Igbo focused threads as well. The developments are indigenous,self-driven and an eternal testament to a people's resolve to conquer their odds. Anambra 1st son i wish you can get to Awo Idemmili and Iba Pope areas in Awada and capture the architectural wonders in there too since it seems you are just about the very few ndi ose foto who captures from an elevated position and still draw them closer. As far as am concerned, beyond the industries and markets,Osha is yet to be fully acknowledged on this thread. Meanwhile,Chukwugozie unu dum! |
BuddahMonk:Nwanne I feel your pain and trust me,it is getting worrisome.Ask them what Igbo's did and they will tell you Igbo's said Lagos is a no man's land! How much petty can a people get? They have absolutely no tangible issue against Igbos xcept innate bitterness.I finally conclude that their verbage on Igbos is borne out or envy and complex.Humans naturally deride people who posses quality(ies) they can only dream of.Therein lies the source of all envy, diabolism, character assasination, profiling and stereotyping. Cheer up! Igbos have seen worse days and emerged better.Interestingly,we are unstoppable at the current rate and as realities sugggest,Nigerian systemic oppressive stance nonetheless.Like Achebe puts it" we are like millions of ants filling out of the woods and have literaly taken over the floor(Nigerian space)". The Nigerian struggle is more spiritual than physical and the divine mandate to the igbo race is well known to some select few hausas and other silly elements in the Nigerian state. Cheer up and keep doing ur beat.ndi igbo bu aka ekpuchi onwa! By the way,I have friends from yoruba and other enthicities whom I cannot trade for anything. The devil in this detail are the scums and guttersnipes who irrespective of their(a handful of them) education attainment are just plain nut cases. |
funkybully:.2015 general elections, aside jega's conspiracy with his kin,was lost and won on the media. With tinubu owining such media outfits as tvc, radio continental, galaxy tv not to talk of other western inclined outfits like punch, the nation, guardian et al,there was very little anybody can do to wither such onsalught.unfortunately, gej's media team was drowned in the whole process.additionally, only very few truly enlightened nigerians were asking the right questions and also saw through the smokescreen of lies and hate apc churned out daily.unfortunately, the mass of the people are not only easily impressionable but pathetically fickle in their perspective hence, the change gang are here with us and will be for another 4 years if not more. Whatever killed minaj and champions newspaper? Whatever killed hallmark newspaper owned by prince emeka obasi? Aside the sun tabloid owned by orji uzo,no other formidable media outfit suited for the crude propaganda nigeria deserves belong to the igbos. Correct me if am wrong.all the same,it is not too late to start because I have also noticed the onslaught in the print and electronic media against nwafors for their purpoted voting pattern in the last election. ...anyone with fresh ideas on how to go about this? Deme nu! |
BuddahMonk:No one could have said it better. Rojeny will be ready next year and IFeanyi Uba's stadium will also be ready same next year.A quick fix of Nero's complex will save the day and ensure home matches are played within Anambra state. The issue of fly overs linking mcc and oraifite vis uga street and atani road will not only be a complete game changer but will totally alter the traffic charcter in those axis.I wonder who benefits from that girdlock and why successive governments failed to appreciate the import of such key projects. Guy ur response to the osun debacle was a hercules punch! U be real onye obi akpor! Na hbp u wan give people abi? Lollzzz! |
Schematics:And these lovely hotels are in what part of town? Meanwhile, what is the land value in those exclusive estates ie Ngozika,Udoka and Greenwood et al. Keep up the good work bros! |
abagoro:I am struggling to know what is wrong with those buildings and what da f@*k do u mean by Igbotic? Must we copy alien patterns in all things? Cant people from other climes copy our building model and build them in their localities, too? If you had advocated that all those silly looking electric and telephone cables be taken off our roof spaces and buried underground, then you will have a fan here but u lost it. The buildings you so much deride are testimonies of a people's resilient and all conquering spirit from the ashes of genocide and incalculable loss barely 4 decades ago. Gladly, other well meaning brethren have put you through. Chegharia!! |
spyder880:Additionally,when people talk about high rise residences in Enugu, they clearly forget that a part of Abakpa called Ugbene has a flurry of high rise buildings and very much a middle class neighbourhood as obtains in Achara Layout and Uwani. The only snag was the deplorable state of inner street roads. The state housing estate in the eastern part of Abakpa is also an expansive, well laid out trail of well maintained bungalows and duplexes.Former commissioners and other prominent citizens lived there and some still do and the road network is still modest at most. Should the governement treat this area well enough, then we have another jewel rising.I also heard from folks at home that the landscape of the entire Amorji and Edem Nike areas are also beginning to rise with modern and well laid out high rise layouts. Much as we have ghettos in Abakpa, fine places also abound. Spyder, next time you go to Ibagwa to eat bush meat, biko snap and show the new emerging city within the city! Deme nu! |
ROSSIKE:I ve not been home for close to a decade but from what i heard, the streets and major avenues in this neighborhood were all tarred and currently in modest shape even if they are not as clinical as Lisbons'. By the way, who cares about Lisbon or Porte Algre sef?!! Fact was that we have created a scenery that harbor immense real estate and tourism potentials that can be patterned according to our perspectives and needs! Imagine if Oakland Amusement park was built on these hills?! #Uwa view# |
Bishop42:Even the CIA has its own share of double agents. However,i totally agree with you that such a collection is highly relevant in current Igbo Agenda. You can pin point some notable forumites and outside of this forum too,we have like minded passionate fellas who can actualize that.It will take time but it is worth it ultimately. It is well. |
Bishop42:Bishop.I responded to your earlier post.Kindly lead me through on the key question i asked there? You need a lot of enlightenment to sell such a grand idea to interested forumites. You might even have to take it out of this thread and make it more exclusive. The choice is yours.By all means, lead us on. |

ezeagu:ab I dont know if any other person can imagine it because am already conceiving the idea of building a holiday resort at the summit of these hills, and still retain the flora and fauna like we have at Indaba Motel,Four Ways Johannesburg South Africa.Except in our own case, cable cars can be built to connect the resort to the city centre given that road construction will alter much of the natural habitat.Nature is ours to conquer! It is well+we shall get there..Ndewo nu! |
ezeagu:I can bet with my last dollar that this picture can pass for a downtown neighborhood in Lisbon! The real estate value in the South East is mind boggling.I wonder when we shall acknowledge the roles of facility management/managers in sustaining and appreciating property value. It is well with us+we shall get there... |
Bishop42:Bishop Nwanne.I saw this postulation of urs earlier in this thread or in another thread and it tickled (and still do) my fancy greatly.Sincerely, that is the kind of esoteric force an endangered race like Igbos need to not only penetrate the deepest recesses of the enemy and hostile climes, but to also draw sympathy and friendships from other like minded groups and also build their clout to global reckoning leaving the other pathetic groups behind in their cesspool.A group like the one suggested will provide the much needed synergy seemingly lacking in the Igbo race. It will also be the covert propaganda machinery of the future Igbo nation and the source of resources that drives serious advancements and inventions in key critical ventures (nuclear plants, aviation experiments, warfare bases, industrialization, cultural rennaissance et al). On the flip side, what measures shall be in place to ensure this esoteric group do not turn sinister and menacing to our collective present and future security as a race? I am pro Bavarian Illuminati (not the contemporary rag tag elements) because i know their history and i can say that the world owe much of their civilization and advancements to those exceptional collection of iconic individuals whose inventions and ideas shape the current blaze we all enjoy today,of course including the internet which is the mother of global link. I earnestly await your ideas. NB:You are right about the northern mafia.I will say more about that in due time another day.For now,it is none of my business. (Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share) |
[quote author=Bishop42 post=33657832]May i suggest a Secret Brotherhood of Patriots from SouthEast who will direct the developmemt and advancement of the Igbos society and Black race. 1) The Secret group should be made of Elders, Engineers,Scientists,Military men,Billionires, Politicians,Philosophers,Gurus etc. 2) They must be extremely passionate about the Igbos. 3) They must be Progressive in thinking 4) They must be perfectionists 5) The agenda is to build a First Class igbo society 6) The Agenda must be about leading not just copying the world 7) Other Agenda Must be the Stealing of superior Technology Secret from countries, for competetive reasons. 8. They shall Recruit the Best Talents i call "The Top Geniuses". A special fund will be created to take care of The salaries and welfare of these genius. This is How they should go about recruiting these people: The recruits are of 2 GROUPS... *THE FORMAL GROUP: a) Made of the best graduates in Maths,Physics, chemistry, nanotech, engineering one can find in SE and Nigeria. b) Best known Lecturals /coach one can find in SE and Nigeria, the lecturals for example must be best and vast in their fields such as in Nanotech,Physics,Chemistry, Structural Engineering,Maths etc. They should be able to guide the INFORMAL GROUP and the graduates INFORMAL GROUP: * Made of the most talented technicians one can find in SE and Nigeria, such as... Fabricators,Mechanics,Welders,Eletronic repairers, Vulcanizers etc Assembling great minds for specific purposes would be counter productive unless you have Versatile Team Leaders (should come from the Formal Group) to lead the Team(Both Formal & Informal group). Most Bright people tend to be passive or not adventerous. Gathering them together to create the next big thing or develop a hybrid space rocket for example,is like gathering exotic car parts to assemble itsself. The "Versatile team leaders" should be able identify a given talent in each member of his team, fit it in his or her field (let say the field is car engines or carburators production) get him specialise in it, improve and refine his product. A gifted carburator maker should not only make great carburators but also unique ones, because, believe it or not, there are thousands of unknown ways to cook a meal, refine petroleum make flying machine or stuff like that. So,your carburator must not look exactly like BMW carburators- Thank God for the Versatile team leader whose job will also be to ensure dynamism in his team. {THIS MODEL CAN BE REPLICATED IN OTHER FIELD LIKE JUDITIARY, CIVIL SERVICE,SPACE RESEARCH,MILITARY,EVEN PRIVATE BUSINESSES.. ETC}..E.g The Military will have the best graduate in military courses, best known military coaches, gifted soldiers (the INFORMAL GROUP) & Versatile Team military Leaders. Same goes for the Juditiary, Civil Service,e.t.c So Here are the Qualities Versatile Team Leaders MUST possess. 1. He must be a Futurist 2.His Willpower must be impregnable 3.He must be adventrous and Open minded 4. He must have a mind of an enterpreur 5. Must be Radical progressive. 6.His team must constantly make New and Improved product 7. He must be consistent 8. His team must be innovating constantly 9. Must have the ability to put together something irresistable, competitive and durable. 10. He must not neccesarly have the best accademic qualification NOTE that this piece is still about the Underground patriots(The Secret Brotherhood). All you need to know about them: *They are usually reserved for sensetive government project. *Their major goal is to build Progressive and First class society for the citizens of SouthEast *They act as the last resort if everything else fails. * They act as guardians of every citizen of Southest. *They help grow and establish some of the Top private companies and Establishment in SouthEast ADOPTING D ECONOMY MODEL OF SUCCESSFUL SOCIETIES To avoid making this part boring, i will make it short & simple... So are the Advanced society so developed? Answer: They turn virtually everything into business!! In other word, they are deeply enmeshed in capitalism and the reason being that Capitalism is self-sustaining. There is hardly any free thing in advanced world, even the so called Welfare scheme is funded with taxes. Their Grand Rule: "If We Must Build, we must Turn It Into Profitable Business or Create A Sustainable Source For Funding It"... "OTHERWISE LET THE PRIVATE SECTOR TAKE CARE OF THAT." These phylosophy is seen everywhere such as thier Roads, Parks,Trains,Stadia,Education, Science and Tech. The Beautiful things about Capitalist model is that government makes tons of money from these sea of companies. The country becomes very rich enventually and there is enough to go around in terms of Infrastrure, Welfare and Improved standard of living. FINALLY, How 2 FUND Th Top Geniuses: funding should come from government & private donation. I recommend they start with 30billion naira per year, though not enough for effectivness and somewhat too small for a project of this size,it still better than nothing. FUNDING Private Businesses: If you wish to go into Battery production for example,be sure to have a reasonable amount of fund and the right team. Successfully producing great batteries will attract more fund from Banks & private people. [/quote Bishop Nwanne.I saw this postulation of urs earlier in this thread or in another thread and it tickled (and still do) my fancy greatly.Sincerely, that is the kind of esoteric force an endangered race like Igbos need to not only penetrate the deepest recesses of the enemy and hostile climes, but to also draw sympathy and friendships from other like minded groups and also build their clout to global reckoning leaving the other pathetic groups behind in their cesspool.A group like the one suggested will provide the much needed synergy seemingly lacking in the Igbo race. spyder880:Spyder and ChimaAdeoye. You guys are begginning to annoy some us by wasting your hard earned knowledge educating that fella on the nitty gritty of governance. Please save your sweats! In another news, gburugburu already has a high-powered think thank made of up some of the most formidable yet silent technocrats in our clime, most of whom just came back from abroad. The "gooder" news is that these egg heads will be proceeding on an extensive drive to Europe,China and S.A using their estaablished contacts to bring in more FDI than we have seen anywhere around. The projection is in excess of hundred billion dollars and the drive has even resumed. Sulli nwa mama merely laid a solid foundation for us and raised the bar on governance in Enugu state. Far more better days are here.Iam merely privileged to know some of these egg heads and was thoroughly briefed about their activities. Udo diri unu! |
(Trading has taken place) its the popular mantra now in Enugu. Ask an Nsukka man what it means
