May the Niger Soldiers Announcing President Bazoum's Removal From Office favour us in Nigeria by way of our leaders learning a lesson or two. |
https://punchng.com/resident-doctors-begin-indefinite-strike-today/ 26th July 2023. By Lara Adejoro. The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors declared an indefinite strike on Tuesday night. NARD President, Dr Emeka Orji, who disclosed this to our correspondent, said the strike will begin today, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 12am. Orji said the decision was made during the July National Executive Council meeting in Lagos. The doctors are demanding the implementation of the one-for-one replacement policy for healthcare workers; the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria to discontinue the downgrading of the membership certificate issued by the West African Postgraduate Medical and Surgical Colleges; the immediate payment of all salary arrears; the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure; a new hazard allowance; and the domestication of the Medical Residency Training Act; among others.

All I can see is a used man. They are only looking for how/where to dump him. It's all a game. |
slawomir:All na wash. I'm of the opinion that the Naira Redesign was just a connivance to make Tinubu spend less on the election. What we are seeing might not be the real. Why arrain him on filmsy and out of place charges. For a man of his caliber, was he trying to take over the government with a single riffle or was he into armed robbery? Couldn't he get license for even ten guns if he wanted to? All these are just smoke screen to divert attention from what they actually did. We have been taken for a ride, I suppose. |

Billionaires don't see things the way ordinary people do. What you see as assets, they see as toys. Sometimes it pays them off, sometimes it doesn't. |

I understand that there is a large and UNNECESSARY degredation of the environment done by the Chinese Railway Company at that particular area and nobody is taking about that. A lot of people have been hurt, wounded and maimed as a result, also providing hide-outs and strategic point for criminals of all sorts. That area is naturally a highly levelled place but the Chineses unnecessarily dugged a wide, deep and LONG trench there even without providing adequate means for people to pass across. And we are talking about a highly populated place here. There were railway-ines there long before now but not like this. Making life inconvenient for citizens is never acceptable to common sense in governance. Please, to whom it may concern, let the Government and the Company do something. |
Jsucre:So you would rather want them to take up harms to come and rob you. Don't get me wrong, all this are just signs of a failed governance. They should rather attend to the course of the nuisance. Providing alternative place for these people to display their wares is not out of place while at the same time take pro-active and humane measures to prevent future occurrence. |
Govt/s should see to the issue of having many children, and by extension overpopulation, as it's detrimental to our national well being. |
That's a red herring, trying to distract attention from his criminal indictments. In a saner clime, he's 'deroped' and arrested. Anyways, I'm personly okay with a re- between Atiku and him. If only Okowa could as well step down for Obi. That one is even gone into oblivion lately. |

hopefulLandlord:Oga, how I wish you could ask Judas how he thought nothing could happen to Jesus even if he betrayed Him. You never know, things happen when it comes to the spiritual. |
Dididrumz:Who so says Tinubu is clueless? He is only trying to make his paddies richer while the people become beggers. The followers can still get their peanuts ala palliatives and all. When they the blind followers expected a chunk of his wealth doled out to them, they introduced naira scacity. He is now cutting everybody to a level, including the military. |

On the 29th of May, 2023, the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his inauguration speech, announced the stoppage of subsidy on pms which was a means to leverage the amount of money the citizens pay for the fuel. There was some chaos after the announcement. The Government later announced the idea of payments of palliative to be paid to a number of less previledged in our society, so as to cushion the effect of the removal of the subsidy. But, let's face it, if there was a referendum on the removal, whether to remove the subsidy or impliment palliative, which would you have preferred - PALLIATIVE OR SUBSIDY?

The case is yet to be assigned to a judge. Emefiele has been in DSS’ custody since June 10 for “investigative reasons”, according to the agency’s The spokesman of the Services (DSS), Dr Peter Afunanya, had on Thursday disclosed in a statement that the agency had charged Emefiele to court following an Abuja High Court ruling.
